I give a 5 star review I was diagnosed with leukemia November 15 2018 and I almost lost my life when I was 9 yrs old but for the great people who work here they helped me so much <3 throughout my battle in the begging I had to keep going to this hospital it was rough but the nurses and doctors were so kind:3but I had to go back home and I had to get chemo in grand junction. My last time at children s was December 5 2019. I would do anything to see my doctors and favorite nurses again! I finished chemo May 18 2021 :D I hope my favorite nurses are proud of me <3 I totally recommend

Amazing hospital and staff. Every department takes such great care of our daughter and has been working hard to diagnose her/ development a treatment plan. We are so grateful for you all, especially Dr. Hughes, Dr. Cho, and the gals in fluoroscopy.

Worst experience ever! My daughter was brought in by ambulance after choking. We waited in the room for 10 hours for help all the while she still had the pill stuck in her throat! The first 2 "doctors" didn't believe she had something still stuck! The second one told her babies can swallow something an inch in size and be fine so how could she have a pill stuck! She even made her drink water and she choked all over again. My daughter was terrified and they were horrible to her! They are not sympathetic at all and really could care less she had to wait so long with a pill stuck in her throat! Well when they FINALLY took her back 10 hours later guess what? Pill was still stuck in her throat! They even gave us a picture of it! Turns out she has a condition which makes it hard to swallow sometimes and food and pills can get stuck and cause choking! Those 2 doctors and 1 of the nurses were so mean and rude as can be!

Great GREAT hospital if you re white! Went in to the ER with my 11 month with a fever and a bad rash, waited an hour, but every white parent and their kid were called in less then 15 minutes from their arrival while all the minorities waited over 45 minutes.

The best children's hospital in Colorado.

The best children's hospital in Colorado.
The ER is always friendly, though they can be slow at times.
My 3yr old daughter was treated here recently for a burn and had several follow up visits, the staff in the ER and in the multi disciplinary clinics are phenomenal. They knew how to calm my daughter and were always so respectful to her. They talked TO her, explained everything they were doing and asked for permission before touching her.
At the Burn Clinic they have special staff who come with toys and tablets to keep kiddos distracted while getting dressing changes. They gave her a gift today for her last appointment. They are always timely, kind, and respectful.

I actually had a great experience with the hospital staff and nurses during my son's stay from a rattlesnake bite, but I was extremely disappointed in the financial department. I was told there was no financial assistance at all for non Colorado residents. Since I am from Wyoming I automatically do not qualify for any assistance, period. I asked to be put on a payment plan and explained that we are experiencing financial difficulties right now. They said they would only do 15 months for their payment plan, and when I said I have multiple accounts I have to pay and can't afford that amount for every medical bill I owe, they could not have cared less. I have never experienced this from a hospital before. Usually they are happy to help and work with you whatever way they can, whether they forgive a partial amount or even set up smaller payments that are affordable to you. It is extremely frustrating to have to decide between paying medical bills or providing for the needs of your family! I will definitely be requesting a different hospital if we ever have to be flown to Denver again!

Had a great experience with Dr Abbot in neurology. Kind, compassionate, thorough with her assessment and put us at ease by putting together a solid plan to diagnose my 13 year old daughter. My experience with Children's has been hit and miss over the years but today was great. We were also able to get in promptly for additional testing without having to return a different day.

The medical staff was incredibly professional and courteous. My daughter received care here during her first three months of life and for additional follow-up surgeries. Having a sick child is never fun, but I felt assured that she was in good hands. My only gripe is that this place is located so far away!

We had a horrible experience at children s. Our 12 day old son needed a procedure done on his kidney/bladder. Procedure went well, but recovery is where we received mediocre care and the miscommunications began. Our urologist told us after the procedure he would be prescribed an antibiotic to avoid UTIs. It was never prescribed and here we are a week later with a 3 week old baby with a UTI. In recovery his oxygen levels would drop when he would fall asleep. No one could tell us why it was happening because apparently the anesthesia should have been worn off by then. So they sent us home with an oxygen tank and told us to follow up with our pediatrician for cessation of the oxygen. Not to mention they couldn t answer whether he needed to be on oxygen constantly or only when sleeping. Tylenol doses in discharge paperwork were different than what he was receiving in the hospital and what we were told to give him. Nurse would say I ll be back in an hour to follow up, etc etc it would take her 2 and a half hours to come back. Just overall careless nurse staff that clearly cannot communicate back and forth with the doctors and surgical team effectively. Very disappointed. children s hospital is rated so high in the United States but failed to see it during our stay.

My daughter has every sign of appendicitis.. we have been waiting for over 3 hours. When I went to ask the Marissa at the front desk what the problem was.. she decided to argue with me about the time we have waited instead of recognizing my frustration. This is by far the worst experience I've had here. When I finally talked to the charge nurse.. he proceeded to tell me there are 3 people ahead of us still. Someone needs to get it together. There are frustrated parents out here who have work in the morning..kids who have school. They definitely need to figure out how to speed up the process and get patients in and out of here.
