Children's Home of Stockton: Providing a Safe Haven for At-Risk Youth
For over 136 years, Children's Home of Stockton has been providing a safe haven for at-risk youth in San Joaquin County and throughout California. As one of the largest social services organizations in Stockton, and the only licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program STRTP in San Joaquin County, Children's Home of Stockton is committed to helping children and families overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
At Children's Home of Stockton, we believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where children can heal from trauma, develop life skills, and achieve their full potential. We offer a range of programs and services designed to meet the unique needs of each child we serve.
Our residential program provides short-term care for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Our highly trained staff works closely with each child to create an individualized treatment plan that addresses their physical, emotional, educational, and behavioral needs. We also offer family therapy services to help families heal together.
In addition to our residential program, we offer several other programs designed to support at-risk youth:
- Foster Care Services: We work with foster families throughout California to provide safe homes for children who cannot live with their biological families.
- Adoption Services: We help connect adoptive parents with children who are waiting for forever homes.
- Mental Health Services: Our licensed therapists provide individual counseling services as well as group therapy sessions.
- Education Services: We operate an on-campus school that provides academic instruction as well as vocational training.
At Children's Home of Stockton, we understand that every child has unique needs. That's why we take a holistic approach to care that addresses all aspects of a child's life. From education and mental health services to recreational activities like sports teams and art classes – our goal is always the same: To help each child reach their full potential.
