Child Development Support Corporation: Providing Comprehensive Childcare Resources

Child Development Support Corporation (CDSC) is a non-profit organization that has been providing comprehensive childcare resources to families in New York City for over 40 years. The organization was founded in 1975 with the aim of supporting low-income families and children by providing them with access to high-quality early childhood education, healthcare, and social services.

At CDSC, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. We understand that early childhood development is critical for a child's future success, which is why we offer a range of programs and services designed to support children from birth through age five.

Our Programs

CDSC offers a variety of programs designed to meet the unique needs of each family we serve. Our programs include:

Early Childhood Education: Our Early Childhood Education program provides high-quality preschool education for children ages three to five. We use evidence-based curricula and teaching methods that are proven to promote cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development.

Family Child Care Network: Our Family Child Care Network connects families with licensed home-based childcare providers who have been trained in best practices for early childhood education. This program provides parents with affordable childcare options while also supporting small business owners in their communities.

Head Start/Early Head Start: CDSC operates several Head Start/Early Head Start centers throughout Brooklyn and Queens. These federally-funded programs provide comprehensive early childhood education, health screenings, nutrition services, and family support services for low-income families.

Home-Based Early Intervention Services: Our Home-Based Early Intervention Services program provides developmental screenings and interventions for infants and toddlers who may be at risk for developmental delays or disabilities.

Parenting Workshops: CDSC offers parenting workshops on topics such as positive discipline techniques, child development milestones, healthy eating habits for young children, and more.

Health Services: We partner with local healthcare providers to offer free health screenings (including vision/hearing tests and dental exams) for children in our programs.

Our Impact
