This is how going to the cinema should be done. It's so civilised and being small makes it charming. You may not see the newest release on day one but you have months of notice to book your tickets and seats. The bar is reasonable and ticket prices the same as any multi-plex.

Watched Free Solo last weekend - what an incredible film. New Park is one of the best independent cinemas I ve been to. Broad range of films and comfy seats. And the cheapest bar in town! Celebrating 40yrs in 2019.

I go to the cinema here as often as I can, travelling from Brighton, a mega-cinema hub. In my experience, Chichester Cinema is the equal of any independent art-house cinema in the country. What it lacks in size it makes up for in intelligent, creative programming. And its educational workshops and outreach are excellent too. If you are a cineaste, then you deserve to discover this special place.

Always a pleasure to watch films here.

Always a pleasure to watch films here.
I do however : find myself chuckling at some of the older, regular patrons who at times, clearly haven't read the synopsis of some of the films ( certificate 18) & then leave after the 1st 'challenging' scene..
