Chicago heights police department Review

I called the chps 4 fax #. Complete imbeciles. A fax # is provided as well as the #. A fax is 4....sending paperwork. They ask y do i need a fax #. The inventor can answer. I wont get the fax until i talk 2 sgt. Wilson cuz these receptionist r co.plete imbeciles.

I'm currently traveling across the country via US route 30 and came through the City of Chicago Heights, IL. Sadly I had a rough experience during my travels in the city and had to make a police report. I arrive at the police station and walk up the stairs and there are homeless everywhere. Now not saying anything bad about homelessness, I feel as though it is one of the biggest problems in this county, but people were drinking open alcoholic beverages right in front of the police station! I walked in and see more people on the ground sleeping! The lobby, to the police station where I felt I should feel safe but did not, smelled of urine and vomit and garbage everywhere. I turned around and walked out not even making my police report.

Met some of the guys while a student at Bloom High School they were pretty down to earth, yet "tough" guys, though you would have to give that image when dealing with high schoolers. However, they were respectful, an example, officer Kevin Droba a very out going individual with the community involved himself with the community teens coaching soccer teams. Which is a great approach to get people of the community to look at the police force as friendly community involved force and not an enemy who is simply after the community. Then there are others who are very rude and whose IQ's you have to question unfortunately. When you meet a cop who doesn't know very basic laws or constitutional rights it is very worrisome. They could also work on promptness to calls that is not unique to the department though. What I really dislike and why I'm only giving them a 2 stars instead of a 3 is the random seat belt checks in the middle of the night where they are wearing all black and no visible insignia indicating who they are as they flash blinding nights into cars. This seems very dangerous to themselves and to the public this is the only department that I know that does this and it seems like a very questionable and dangerous practice.

Do not go down stairs of the Chicago police officer was kindly helpful to you and take me to Chicago jail hold then the cook country police officer to take me the hospital when I was sick but then I can make phone back to the Miltown and the I had made own music I was I Chicago heights then I want back to the Miltown country jail peace out all y'all that's can help out each others that do better than me peace put too all in Chicago heights

They always responde when I call them, and always do justice. I called them twice one night that neighbors where all drunk and playing loud music 2 in the morning. Cops appeared and told the noisy neighbors to shut down the music (they were playing ugly narcocorridos). After the cops left, the music went loud again, so I called them (again). Officers left know this people they were going to be fined if they didn't stop. After that havent had issues with that people. Chicago Heights police officers are nice persons.

They do not know the rules of the road...just went through a red light and didn't use their sirens...do your job to the fullest...shame on you

The Chicago heights police department needs to learn how to deal with domestic violence and not just say i don't smell nothing. OMG! They are some STUPID Cop's. Then to tell me take my stuff too a crime lab. Then i asked the police man where it was like i dont know DUH..IF THERE WERE 0 STARS THAT WOULD. BE MY RATING

Went into the police station and want to make a report that my son daughters mom threaten his life. The office said,since she may a report it was nothing he could do.
