This place has cozy mountain magic. We had a great time. Our room was a balcony room, third floor, main building. There's a lot to do close by. They even had a prayer request bowl outside the main lobby. How cool is that

Insanely gorgeous place. Wow. Haven't had the chance to stay the night here, but we visit the grounds and love the scenery, serenity, and care that goes on here. I hope to one day stay at the resort and enjoy that beauty for more than just a day.

Wonderful stay. We stayed in one of the 4 bedroom condos. Ice maker wasn't working when we arrived but a conversation later and it was fixed after maintenance showed up. Super clean and comfortable. Furniture was current and comfortable. I would recommend and don't provide 5 stars often.

Very nice property with plenty of space for kids to explore. Lovely swans and ducks are a nice diversion. Nearby access to extensive hiking trails with access to Cone Manor. Onsite restaurant prepared tasty dishes. Indoor pool was great. The only disappointment was the lackadaisical front desk staff. Some had no interest in delivering an outstanding experience. Rooms don't have premium cable or access to streaming services. Location is just a short drive to downtown Blowing Rock. I recommend the skeet experience, but be prepared for the drive. It's an adventure!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view is just amazing, I did not want to leave. The staff was extremely welcoming and sweet. The room was clean, had a great view that I loved waking up to and the bathroom was big and nice . We are already planning our next stay and inviting family:).

Location is great, view from room is killer, restaurant food is really good, not amazing, but really good, employees are very nice, security guard is nice touch, grounds are well maintained and ducks are friendly. The bad, and I hate to say it, had to change rooms on first night due to couple next door fighting, old guy across the hallway kept slamming his door, and rooms desperately need a remodel, carpet is old, everything in the room is old and completely outdated. But as we were enjoying a dinner the first night, owner or manager was talking behind us about a remodel, well. ... They spoke about the remodel for 10 minutes then told stories about nothing important for another 45 minutes while remodel people just nodded their heads like they cared... Hopefully this place can get the help it needs in the next few months..

I truly appreciate your reply to my review. However, you were actually NOT able to remedy all of the troubles. Our fireplace was not working. We called and y'all sent "security" to fix it (your maintenance person had left for the day). He could not fix it and assured us that while we were away with your Orvis guide, the problem would be fixed. We returned from fishing and it had not been fixed. I called and was told that they "ran out of time" and that certainly the next day it would be a priority. Low and behold, the third night it was STILL not fixed. We gave up. With all the great lodging choices in Blowing Rock, we will NOT return to Chetola. To end on a bright note, your restaurant did have very tasty breakfasts- and the staff was friendly.

What a beautiful mountain resort. We stayed in an efficiency condo in the Wren building, it had a small kitchen area, a bedroom with a king size bed, and sleeper sofa in the living area. The bathroom was large and had a very nice shower. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was perfect for our family of four. The pool was a 2 minute drive away behind the registration building and it was nice and heated, but unfortunately the hot tub and sauna were out of service due to covid. The Timberlake restaurant was pretty good, priced as expected for being on a resort. It snowed one night and the maintenance workers were up early salting all the roads and walkways so getting around was no problem. We loved it and can't wait to go back.
