This is one of few cathedrals that has a relatively warm atmosphere, being smaller than many and welcoming. I wander around here whenever I come to Chelmsford and this day was no different. Really enjoyable trip and always someone around should we need any questions answered. Worth a visit.

No advance booking required. Quick to take contact details. Foot operated sanitisers. So good to see in the flesh canons who have been ministering to us online. Sad Dean absent at last minute.
Pulpits hideous and block view of all the singletons placed in side aisles! Very sensible use of tongs to share eucharist which was brought to us.

An oasis of calm in a busy world. Quiet and easily accessible. A lovely place to come for a bit of downtime or quiet contemplation. Some nice touches (the architecture and hourly / half-hourly clock bell ) helps stand out as a local landmark.
