Chatswood RSL Review

A bit too small to service a number of guests.
Staff are friendly and security is good.
Well priced food options although they're not as good.
Cheap drinks. Not bad but not the best.

Receptionists and bar staff are rude. Seem to think they are god with a clipboard. Blonde receptionist was particularly frustrating and unable to do her job.

Was extremely impressed by high quality service from Claire Rich. Made it such an enjoyable night.

Always friendly staff, however the food here isn't always great.

With cafe, restaurant and South East food, a good place to stay for a few hours.

Staff are rude. One lady that really stood out was Kayla, she was extremely rude to the elderly customers which was very upsetting to see. Her order had come out wrong and the old lady had asked nicely if they could fix it and Kayla was extremely rude about having to fix her plate up. Her attitude was horrible. Customer service definitely needs to be worked on.

Terrible judgment of service, had a staff memeber very red eyed talking to his coworker how tired he was and making calls of judgement of me and my friend on the night determining drink of service. Extremely unprofessional and wish I caught his name as I was extremely embarrassed on getting served a coke instead of bourbon in front of other customers. It was in the upstairs bar if management reads this comment and on the same night this comment was posted. Shame on your staff as I was allowed in through the front doors and denied service of alcohol once addressing myself to the bar. 10/10 wouldn t go here again if this staff memeber was present as once addresssed with the call of judgment he simply didn t justify his actions and simply said I will just kick you out. Thanks Hornsby RSL for the compete misjudgement on all staff.

Some of the elder staff are disrespectful to younger patrons. Overall the customer service from staff isn't very good, the pokies seem to have a VERY low percentage set. Drinks are overpriced and they recently renovated a very nice upstairs area used by poker players and also teenagers having their birthday parties...and they shoved in more pokies.
They have a good parking arrangement with a local provider.

This is a nice RSL club, but it's not the best. Great service and facilities.

Staff felt strange and disconnected.
Security guard on a power trip.

Great front desk staff, very friendly. Great shuttle service to members. Cant wait till renovations are done.

Zero ambiance. An aggressive cook who didn't know how to cook beef. Sent back 2 meals, switched to lamb, refused to pay. Felt sorry for the FOH staff...

such a shame, staffs in chit chats find customers placing orders a burden. Food is "okay" but sometimes the quality is so down, for an instance, i have encountered "microwaved" steak.

Good place for relax and fun if you are interested. Staffs are nice and talkative.

We walked up to the bar, a staff member asked what I would like, went to get it but was pulled aside by another staff member and tasked to do something else. No one served us, we were told they would only be a minute yet, but we never got served.
How anyone enjoys a place like this I will never know, clearly they do not understand customer service at all!

Food is less than average quality, waited 45 minutes for a chicken burger. Had to deal with a staff member named c was very sarcastic and rude to myself. Will not be returning here.

Very poor excuse for a club. It's old and run down. The food gave me stomach cramps and I was in bed for a week! Would not recommend anyone to go here!

Front of house staff are excellent. Bistro food is great. Bistro staff on the other hand do not exactly roll out the welcome mat :-(

The only place in Sydney with happy hour on Sundays.. highly recommended.

I have been coming to Chatswood RSL for some time. I like to play roulette, sometimes losing sometimes winning. However the management has changed the roulette machines settings and it is very hard to win anything.
The gambling machines are unfair and do not give any fair chance to the players.

Fantastic food, excellent renovations, great atmosphere! Well done to all the staff for making the clients of North Shore First Aid feel welcome and comfortable. I look forward to a successful partnership in 2014.

Have encountered very low quality of food. Microwaved steak ? Have encountered microwaved proteins and unseasoned food. Not eating from bistro anymore.

Hi everyone , if you loved Malaysian food this place has the best Ipoh Hor Fun and others varieties as well. It is a Club that has Floor Shows too. And a Coffee House with lots of Delicious Cakes, that you can Relax and have a catch up with Family and Friends too . It is so Central just right next to the Chatswood Station too. Have an Enjoyable Night Out and have Fun

Good place by train station and good food and drink selection.

Only have parking for members only. No where to park for visitors. If not a member go to another rsl club.

Although the RSL was nice, I think its still a little outdated. The food felt very basic. Yes, it was tasty, but still basic. And, it was rather expensive for what it was. I think the RSL could have used some more signage inside, as it was a little hard to navigate. Overall, I had an ok time.

Good ambience. Drinks are very cheap. Big place. Lots on offer. Good variety of food n drinks. It has tab machines n smoking area too. Strongly recommend this place.

Nice club, adhering to the virus restrictions. Good food, good prices. A nice place for a meal

I only been to the Ipoh restaurant inside. The Malaysian food is average with lots of variety.

A very respectable club to visit and enjoy. It is safe close to bus and trains and the staff are happy, friendly and very helpful.

We congratulate the Management and Staff for presenting such a wonderful even for the 71st birthday celebrations. There was not one person without a smile on their faces and everyone had a wonderful and enjoyable time. The Club offered free Fairy Floss, Popcorn, two free drinks, Ice Cream, various snacks to eat and the music performed by The Enormous Horns was fabulous with many people on the floor dancing.

Unfortunate though I have witnessed racial comments with regards to religion & colour.

Also disrespect towards returned soldiers. The people who built the RSL movement.

What a lovely club! It was my first visit and I must tell you that I shall be returning as soon as I can. I was impressed with my experience at this really lovely club.

Terrible experience for my first night attending the members draw (Monday 2nd May) The barrell lady was rude to me and the entire room. Having her back to the audience. Never going back.

Friendly staff members but downside is courtesy bus do not drive to my street. Apparently bus driver said its steep and bumps are too high for the under carriage. He left me walking under the rain and was soaking wet when I got home.

10 dollars for 4 chicken tenders...you are kidding me

This place has a extremely bad attitude and staff have no customer service skills whatsoever. It is shame to the fallen!

Had the worst experience in my whole life is the experience I received from staff and patrons from chatswood rsl
Walk past the bistro got the most worst smell coming from the bistro I thought I was going to be sick
Then I went to toilets near tab females toilet washing hands Asian lady walks in and tell because I was not Asian that I should not be in here or any where inside of club she said this is an Asian club not Australian club then she spat on me I have never been so humiliated in my whole life I have been a member of this club on and off for over 20 years which is longer than any of the asians that you have had as members at your club it is about time this club starts to appreciate the Australians that enter your club

This is your typical RSL with a Bistro, Restaurant, Cafe, Bar, Function Rooms and Poker machines with large screen TV's throughout, it's an easy going place for a coffee, meal, drink or a night out

Another good option for food and drinks in Chatswood.

Good pub/bar with sports. I think some staff roaming the club (not behind the counter) appear to be in a rush and thus act in a not particularly customer centric manner in my 4 interactions with them. Majority of the bistro and front of rsl staff and security guards are great though.

Great place, friendly and helpful staff, love to dine there sometime with friends. Check it out. Lot's of other places around...

A cool place where one can relax among friendly people.

Little gem of a club, we only played the pokies. Friendly helpful staff, best Mocca I've had while visiting Sydney

Very conveniently located near the station. Friendly staff here. Love the Ipoh Club Restaurant with it's Malaysian flavours.

awosme place to come for a bit to eat and a friendly drink. Close to public transport and has onsite parking. Highly recommend.

Nice cold beer and soso bistro. I stopped eating at bistro due to the gradual size reduction in the roast of the day. Got tired of asking for extra gravy as well because they never put enough the first time.

The food is fine. But the staff at the bar (short and grumpy) is rude. I think he is working in the wrong industry.

Who wouldn't enjoy pokies, beer and Ipoh Cub Malaysian cuisine... My local joint...
