Chateau Hotel & Conference Center Review

I was performing at an event at the hotel and they provided me a room at no charge. Overall it was nice, but I did find a gnat or two in my bed. Expected in the summer, but still a little unnerving. I wish there was am outlet near the bed. For some reason, hotels don't like to provide that unless you unplug a lamp or the alarm clock. I'm not sure what the price was, but I have a feeling a I wouldn't spend that amount if I was staying for a night for my own reasons.

The room rate was good, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Cute enough place, however pool wasnt heated and there was no remote for the tv. An issue the front desk was not inclined to resolve. So no TV. Lastly bedding with holes. Pay more elsewhere, you will get more.

Had a meeting, the staff was very friendly. Rooms were organized and clean.

Listen, it is dated, but a comfy place to stay. You'll be fine. Rosie at the desk is just wonderful. She switched us around to accommodate us, and was so friendly. We had a blast. Perfect.

Hotel is nice but rooms are getting old and rundown. Carpeting was old and torn in my room in a small area. If you're an adult and want to swim good luck it seems there are kids most of the day in the pool and also using the hot tub with their parents. Ran out of towels for the pool and the clerk had to go to all the floors find some cause most were all dirty and no staff to do towels. The clerk however seemed nice. The breakfast wasnt too bad though.

Stayed at the Chateau due to going on 2 nights of power outage because of a ice storm. The room was spacious, very nice and clean. The pool was too cold for swimming however all in all a nice stay. We were also offered a special rate because of the outage. Would definitely go back.

I only had a short stay (one night) but the room was very clean and had all the amenities of a more expensive hotel. The bed was comfortable and had night stands with lamps on both sides. The lobby is large and well decorated. Friendly staff. It is off the main road just a bit so you won't have to worry about street lights or sounds of traffic.

I would definitely recommend to friends and would return myself. It is a STEAL for under $80. Glad I found it! Lovely place, really.

The only knock against it is that the breakfast is sparse. No prepared foods such bacon or potatoes that you might typically get. Only cereal, juice, toast, a waffle maker, etc. But it does have a Tony Romo's attached to it that stays open until 10pm most evenings.

Oh, and they have an afternoon happy hour where you can buy hot dogs and such for just a few bucks.

Looked up this motel on the web, rates started at $51.00. I tried to check in in person on Saturday June 6th, and their best AAA rate was $102.00. I asked them about the $51.00 web rate and I was told that was for Sunday thru Thursday. I said fine and stayed elsewhere. The next night witch was Sunday I was passing back thru and tried to check in again and was told their best AAA rate was still $102.00.
Very misleading company, dis- honest company.

The hotel is an older establishment but for $80 the room was reasonable, the kids enjoyed the pool and it was in the right location

Nice place. Been here 2x, very affordable. Pool and hot tub are decent. Sauna doesn't work which I would have really enjoyed. Breakfast not too bad for $5...didn't get to eat or drink at restaurant but looks nice. Old school look..

Although the outside is attractive, the interior is outdated.

Rooms where clean and staff was nice and helpful. The location is good and close to a lot of other restaurants and stores. For the price we paid I have no complaints.

Great place. Rooms are beautiful and the building is very classy in apperance. Excellent service staff and plenty of amenities. One can tell that there is some ware and tear from the ages of use; however in most cases give the whole place a very charming feel. Great ambience.

In the times I've delivered to the chateau I'm usually impressed by the upkeep. Not necessarily my favorite style of decoration, but for themes' sake it works well in their favor. Staff is pleasant as always and clients are quiet. Nothing really to gripe about.

Solid hotel with average accommodations and amenities. Easy to get to from 55. Helpful staff and solid conference rooms.

Great value for the room. Also helps that Tony Roma's is attached to the hotel. :)

I love that this doesn't just look like every other hotel. Nice french mansion feel. The staff is very friendly.

Love this hotel. I use to work here a LONG time ago when they still offered cinnamon rolls and had a gift shop. It's sad to see that it's gone down this road and is no longer a favorite place to go. I love the old charm and the history.
The breakfast closed 1/2 hour before the restaurant opened in the morning which was inconvenient. The drink prices at the bar are ridiculous. Save your money and go elsewhere.
I still plan to stay here when I go back to visit. Wish it the best!!

We new this place as Jumers. Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms clean. Entire hotel needs updated. Elevator kept malfunctioning. Security doors from exterior would not lock; anyone could walk in off the street.

Its a nice place. The staff and mangemmt are very nice...the last time i was here the breakfast was Much better ... this time .. there was no O.J. and 1 kind of bread...was much better last time ... over all a nice experience...

Availability. Cute girls at desk. Close to main street. Price. Manager trying to help a guy on breathing machine, though it's beyond the scope of his duties.

We love to get away and stay here only if it's 30 miles away it's a eligant place to stay

It was nice but lacked some attention to detail. We had a late checkout but they cleaned before we cleared out. There is no conditioner in the rooms. Front desk was not clear about conference details and basic care (like coffee).

It be right next to that Steak & Shake, yo. The bed was nice but the way the ceiling caves it makes it feel like I'm inside a happy meal. The pool was popp'n with dem A1 hunnies and the room service was lit AF. 4/5 Would go back.

Rooms are adequate for sleeping. That's about it. Breakfast Buffett is the worst I've ever seen, staff is nice but not over eager to be knowledgeable about the facility, their job, the are, or to wait on patrons.

A very different vibe than I'm used to with other hotels. Reminds you of an old elegant hotel you would find people inside in suits sipping scotch and smoking cigars. Clean comfortable bed and had a great restaurant attached via the lobby

Room wasn't too bad. Breakfast buffet everything was cold. Place is dated but clean. Both elevators were working.

This hotel makes a great setting for horror movie. It's definitely haunted... and creepy.

Horrible place very run down i remember a beautiful place as a kids has really gone down hill. Im sitting outside smoking a guy comes out and said he was on his 3rd room because TV didn't work then fridge. Spa broken. JUST go anywhere else my suggestions

Very clean and nice. Wonderful atmosphere! The staff is very professional as well and friendly.

Very few outlets, slow internet that constantly cuts out, wallpaper is coming off the wall, the lights are only controlled by motion, weird white packing fuzz over the chandelier, uncomfortable pillows, gross capreting and bathrooms, leaking shower, and horribly ugly rooms. Will not be staying again.
