Anne of Green Gables is a great play that is re interpreted, always entertaining
I live south of this building, and the best part about it is in the winter time I can go through the entrance facing Victoria Row and come out in the Confederation Mall. I love that.
Interesting little bit empty could step up just a bit but overall a good experience
Nice place to visit, the place having soveniers on sale
Nice and helpful staff, cool gift shop with really friendly associates.
For Canada150 they have a replica of the room in Province House where Confederation all happened. And, it's free!
Do not have your wedding reception here, the food was terrible, not even what was ordered, tasted like airplane food at best. They were really hard to deal with as well and not very accommodating. This is the second wedding wedding reception I've been to here were the party had a terrible experience.
A rush visit at the same day as I borrow books from the library, I notice the price is very reasonable, will definitely come back for the performance. Beside the play, this place have a lot of interesting things to see. Worth to visit with or without booking a ticket!
Area to dress up in Anne of green gables clothes, amazing movie about confederation and cute gift shop!
Good service, nice little cozy room. Anne's show with green gear was excellent.
Watched Anne of Green Gables the Musical! Absolutely phenomenal! Most fun musical I've had the pleasure of enjoying since high school! Very great cast and facilities! Acoustics and lighting are great!
The people here were really sweet and made me feel special. I would definitely come back here.
What's not to like. Great theatre, just refurbished auditorium and stage. A real heartbeat for Charlottetown.
Replica of Confederation Hall is right at the Foyer - at least there's something while Province House is being renovated (which seems like in perpetuity!). The short film about Confederation was nicely done. The guides were very welcoming and willing to explain confederation history.
Homborg theatre is the main theatre hall and is quite large. Seeing Anne of Green Gables the musical in PEI was great - the longest running musical in the world since 1955. Memorial hall also holds free concerts by the youth company of the CCOA. Both had good acoustics. The concrete floors here are also strikingly shiny and always kept clean.
Wow amazing place, love the arts, no nice people and worth it
Fantastic theatre. Good, comfortable seating and layout. Ann of Green Gables is a solid show. Mavors has decent food.
A beautiful facility! We went for the theatre but wandering around the building was also interesting and beautiful. Neat infographic at the main entrance about the building of the centre.
We went to see Anne of Green Gables the Musical which is apparently the longest running musical in the country. Good show - a bit campy but most the audience loved that. Tickets are not cheap but we went for the experience of seeing it on the Island.
Great library. Worth visiting in summer, when there s a free show at twelve.
Nice theater. Either you sit near the front or at the balcony, you get a decent view of the performance. Anne of Green Gables and Alice Through the Looking Glass are both recurring plays at the Confederation Centre of the Arts and have a quality standard to it. I never felt more like a child at heart than when I saw what came out of the roof during one of them. The pun made by an actor that followed cracked my adult self right after. Whatever the way those plays are presented and the cast interpreting them, the quality is always great year after year.
Great place to see a show or concert in Charlottetown, PEI
"Broadway-quality" productions without "Broadway-type" ticket prices.
A nice comfortable theatre. If you seats are hard to the outside, you wont be able to see the sides of the stage. Try get more to the middle.
Don t overlook gift shop & restaurant
We stop in every time we re in town.
They have one of the best most creative gift shops in PEI
Also delightful restaurant that is great for meetings, business especially.
My kids love to run around, this time there was a cool dream catcher exhibit.
Besides the Theatre and Gallery there is a big free area to explore too.
I love this place... defiantly making our small town much more bette place to live. We go to the Confed Centre quite often with my daughter... combination of library and art gallery next door is priceless for me.
Very nice modern theatre, excellent sound and comfort, unobstructed view of the stage from all seats, wonderful performance.
We went to Jesus Christ Superstar last night. World-class actors with powerful performances in an intimate setting made for a phenomenal night!
Top rank talent in a lovely theatre where no matter where you sit you have a great seat.
A really nice lady gave us a tour of the art gallery ! Nice museum
The shows are amazing some are expensive, but it is usually worth it.
A top class musical facility but definitely NOT in regards to the ABBA Revisited tribute band. I've been to numerous shows here and I just can't believe how terrible the sound crew performed tonight. It is not possible that it was the normal sound crew here. The production company for the ABBA fill ins must have been doing the sound for it was a truly rookie performance compared to the normal quality provided by the centers technicians. This tribute band definitely is NOT of the caliber this facility normally provides especially at the rate the production company or box office was charging for the tickets. Truly disappointing. Someone really needs to vet these productions before allowing them to perform especially for those rates. I'll never pay to see another tribute band here ever again.
Had a great day hanging out exploring this place shame about the restaurant though
Wow. My husband and I just happened to be in PEI when Jesus Christ Superstar was playing. What an unbelievable performance. I've been to many musicals, including many on Broadway, and this was of similar caliber. Amazing actors, fantastic voices. Better than the movie, in our opinion. Great job guys!
Great art gallery... It's a really nice space. Interesting exhibit on Mi'kmaq peoples. I'm surprised it was so empty on a Saturday afternoon. What a shame.
Stopped in for the video and display on Canadian confederation in the entry lobby. Also visited the gift shop.
Loved the fact it was so inexpensive to get in and that they had a variety of exhibits on display. They had a good variety of local art and some unusual exhibits you won't see anywhere else
Very well set up museum. Plenty of space for the displays and the displays brought in are quite interesting. Definitely worth a visit if you like art and history. They also display work done by students at the local college which is amazing and inspiring.
