Wanting something close to the historic district We chose the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel. Parking while checking in is tight. The man working the valet parking was very nice and informative. The employees working behind the check-in desk were very nice and also very informative. After checking in I moved my vehicle to the parking garage across the street, I was having a problem with my access code but received help from the man working in the booth (he was a grumpy one lol). Parking is tight do I went up a couple of decks and found an end spot.
Our room was at the end of the hall on the 5th floor. After getting to it I was happy, it was away from any hall traffic. The room along with the bathroom was big and spacious. The beds were comfortable but the pillows could have been bigger. Our room was 501 it overlook Society St on one side an the parking garage on the other, ask for an end room it's big. Overall I had a good experience and enjoyed staying here.
