A great local store on main street so you know they are at the top of their game...the owner pays you a lot of attention and puts you in the right clothes, for you. And the price is right compared to the mens stores in the burbs.
I d advise checking out other social media (FB, LI) for reviews that better reflect the reality of customer experience for this store; I did before I stopped in, glad I did! 100% satisfied

Friday 9/30 Decided to stop in again for some more dress shirts for work...struck gold as they just brought in a new shipment with a lot of variety. It's nice to know that I won't be running into others at the office with the same shirt when I shop at CMS. Great shopping experience! I'll be a regular, it's worth the drive

Rented tuxes for a wedding. Thought we would stay local so we wouldn't get screwed by the big guys. Tuxes turned out great but we were told our 8-year-old's tux would be around $80. Was extremely shocked when it came time to pay for it and it was $170! And the tuxes had to be returned the next business day. Good thing we didn't leave right for our honeymoon. I thought by buying local we wouldn't have any surprises like this.

We cannot speak highly enough about the excellent service we received from Charles Men's Shop. We had looked into multiple places for tux rentals for our groomsmen, and ultimately decided to work with Charles Men's Shop because there's a reason why people suggest "shopping local." To start, Charles Men's Shop has a top-notch selection with reasonable pricing and great quality. They took the time to measure our groomsmen properly, and are so experienced that they handled measurements called in from our groomsmen who were out-of-state with ease. They had a very easy pick-up and return process, and had alterations completed in a timely fashion. They made the great suggestion to have our groomsmen receive shoes from Batavia Bootery that not only looked better, were more comfortable, and served as a gift the groomsmen could keep and make use out of. If you're planning a wedding, you're too busy to shop around for tux rentals. Save yourself some time, go to Charles Men's Shop where they are attentive, detail-oriented, and make your wedding planning that much easier!

The gentlemen that helped me find what I needed and hemmed up the slacks I chose in less than an hour. Allowing me to make it to an event on time and confident in my appearance. Friendly, courteous and super service.

It's bizarre that the best men's clothing store in the region is located in
little Batavia, but here you are.
From their suit selection, to ties and belts, socks and shirts they are a cut above the rest. Their tie selection is amazing. Don can match a tie to a suit like no one else. I also use Charles Men's Shop for tailoring. They redid a suit for me that I had tailored in Rochester, and now it finally looks great.
I am headed back for a couple of accessories this weekend. Even if you need something simple like a tie, when you leave you will look like a million bucks. I bought two pair of slacks in 1993 for $89 each on sale (that was a lot of money for me back then) and I still have them. They still look good, although I did have to have the waist let out!!

Very disappointed by this place. My husband was in a wedding that chose this place for their suits. We live far enough away from Batavia but that was fine to do the driving there however it landed up being pointless. When he went to pick up the suit for the wedding after being measured a while back to which he had actually lost weight since, the shirt was tight around his neck. The woman said he needed to get a new shirt and my husband agreed and said that he would be back the next day to pick it up. My husband went there to pick it up and they said they gave it to someone else in the party (who didn't know the situation). My husband said; well I hope it fits. He didn't get the suit till the day of the wedding and their "bigger size" was huge on him so baggy on the arms and hung so low. Thank goodness the jacket fit okay or else it would have been a total embarrassment. I called after the wedding to basically say that I was disappointed for spending as much money as we did on the suit for it not to fit properly. The owner (I assume) did not take any responsibility at all and basically put the blame on my husband. The owner was aggressive and rude on the phone and didn't take an ounce of ownership to what happened. I am so irritated to spend as much money as we did for it not to be tailored more..I could have called on the phone and ordered the size instead of wasting gas to get there. I am disappointed with this shop and would never be able to recommend them considering the price for a suit. I hate to say this because I like to support local businesses but you would be better going somewhere else.

I contacted Charles Mens Shop (CMS) late on a Monday night by email that I needed a suit for a funeral on Friday of the same week. First thing Tuesday morning I had a reply email back from Don. Don gave me some options and invited me to visit CMS. I made it to the shop Tuesday just after 3pm and Don helped me pick out a suit. CMS did not have a suit in stock, so Don ordered it in for me and said he would contact me for a fitting when it came in. Jump ahead to Thursday at noon, Don calls and says I need to come in for the fitting. I am leaving 30 minutes later and am told the suit will be done before closing at 6pm. I can't find anyone to pick up my suit for me, so we call CMS to see if it can be finished by 4:30pm so my wife can pick it up on her way home from work...CMS says they can do it. Needless to say, it was done on time and the suit fits perfectly! Everyone at CMS was very friendly and helpful, they delivered on everything they said they would! I will definitely send as many people here as I can and I will definitely shop here again also!

Outstanding service! I am traveling far for my best friends wedding and am staying an hour away from Charles men s shop. Wanting to avoid another two hour drive round trip the morning after our long drive I called the shop and asked if their was anything they could do and without hesitation Dave offered to stay late to cater to my schedule. When I arrived Dave was prepped and ready for me to try the suit and it was amazing in every aspect, quality of material and fit. Service like this is rarely found and would recommend them to anyone!

The service there is the best I have ever experienced. Dave's knowledge and sense of style are helpful. He helped my husband pick out a suit for our wedding, and had it custom taylored to fit him perfectly. We were so impressed, we sent our son there for the tuxes for his wedding, all ten of them. The guys were off all different sizes, and the groom wanted camo print vests. They looked amazing. Tastefully done and everything was perfect.

I came up from NC for my brother's wedding. The shirt I brought wasn't working, so I needed something ASAP. I'm a plus sized guy and they had something ready for me that fit nice and matched my tie. So helpful!
