Historic location, below a museum; impeccable services as per expectation; menu is creative, a combination of exotic ingredients with a unique twist on preparation and combination. While there is no must-have to recommend, every course is a journey of its own.

Food was amazing, service was amazing, and the ambiance and decor were fantastic too. I will definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone. We went for lunch, three courses for 39 which was great value. The atmosphere was fairly laid back (I was wearing jeans and a shirt). If you go, order an Irish coffee, they make it in front of you at the table.

Best meal I have had in last 5 years. It's not unusual to have a great appetizer, a great main course or a great dessert. But how often do you have all 3? Nice atmosphere and attentive service. Highly recommended.

O M Food ... Incredible... really just amazing... I'll dine on the memories of dining here for a long time to come. And I'll be back...

Top tip... try the white wine "Moment of Silence", Wellington, South Africa.

Food and wine was just fabulous and atmosphere was so relaxing and refreshing. We had reserved our special birthday and anniversary booth which made the evening more private and romantic. We went for tasting menu with matching wines. It was the best choice we could have made because wine matched food just perfectly, taste was so complementary and made food pop even more. I recommend everyone to try out the tasting menu as the food was just unreal. All my tasting buds were excited. Just amazing.

Over from Cornwall for my 30th birthday, absolute food lovers. The service was undoubtedly faultless, polite, kind and curtious. The food along with the wine was second to none! The best 4 courses we have had the pleasure of eating. A small tour of the kitchen was the cherry on top. We even tried to book for the following evening.

Thank you very much.

My partner and I had been looking forward to visiting Chapter One after her son recommended we go.
From the moment you walk in you feel very welcome and there are plenty of staff to look after you. You are not rushed and feel you are the only guests in the restaurant.
We chose from the standard menu and all four courses were excellent. My partner enjoyed the correctly cooked and succulent fish and my lamb was tender and full of flavour.
We also had the coffee and petit fours which were excellent too.
Visiting Chapter One is for a special occasion as it is pricey; however, you will not be disappointed.

If you want an eating experience, try the Chef's Table. It is expensive but not only do you get a chance to try the sampler menu and related wines, you also get to see the inner workings of the kitchen and how professional the chefs are. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, each course is deliciously described and explained. A great night made even better by Mirco, Jennifer and Danny. Certainly worth booking but there is quite a waiting list.

Got mackeral soup and skate main. Both were amazing. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I've taken one star off for lack of wheelchair access. In this day and age there's no excuse for it.

I was slightly disappointed , expecting the wow factor. We went for the pre theatre menu , apart from the tiny flies that hovered over our table . Staff we polished and polite but the clock ticks 7:30 pm your out of there
We asked politely for a second bottle of wine but no they believed it would delay the table turnaround. Then our coats we had to search for. It's a rated eatery. the food yes it's top class it had to be for what you pay for.
It lacked the atmosphere of : we are the people who booked a table well in advance
We expect pampering and interaction with the staff to promote the food the taste the chef. There was no !!! . We look forward to seeing you again.
I can't say I will rush back .
It was to mechanical no personal touch .
Churn churn. We are people and human and expect to be treated better.

Possibly my experience was influenced by the level of expectation I had before I came. As I 'normal' member of the public we felt like we were processed through the place. Maybe this place is just for the well-known elites of dublin. Food-wise the starters and deserts were amazing... like fantastic but the main courses left something to be desired, the type of dish that you could probably have cooked better at home... and not had to drop 250 euro in the process!!!
don't think we'll be back, i doubt however that they miss us

This is a fine-dining restaurant aimed at people who don't have much interest in food. Service is obsequious and not genuine. Food is terribly underwhelming - what other Michelin starred restaurant serves steak and chicken as courses? Embarrassing stuff really. The dessert looked like something that wouldn't have passed the preliminary, prefilming round of Bake Off. Just bad and tasted only of butter. Resting on their laurels and trading off their reputation - 350 that may as well have been flushed down the toilet.

Our first time there but considering all the good reviews I was underwhelmed.

The ambience was pleasant and the food was well presented though it didn't deliver any "wow" factor.

The most surprising element of re-telling our experience was the amount of people who summed up their experience of Chapter One as "good but not great".

In short, they could definitely do better.

Would have given a 5 as food is very good, staff are excellent, however, one of the party asked for a glass of Chardonnay and on the bill this was e15 . I felt this was an exorbitant price for what was a small glass of wine

A part of 5 girls [women] had just the most wonderful time yesterday in Chapter 1. Martin and all the staff could not possibly have done more for us.The food was wonderful, the service super, super friendly. Martin even led us all around Parnell Square and hailed taxis for us.

We will be back!!!!

Great day out.

Made a reservation for single guest on the day of. Omfg this place honestly deserves 2 Michelin stars in terms of both food and service... but I believe that they only received 1 because not all the staff is entirely on the same page.. one waitress failed to explain anything in one of the dishes that were served... she only stated the name of the dish and walked away :/ if service and staff knowledge was impeccable this place honestly deserves two stars. I really can t pick a fault in either the food or the wine pairing. I haven t been this impressed with a restaurant since Per Se.. and I ve been to a plethora of Michelin starred restaurants ever since. Definitely a MUST VISIT restaurant if you re in Dublin let alone Ireland.

PS: petit four isn't four small dessert bites as I usually receive. I only received one- chocolate ganache which is to DIE for no exaggeration intended.
