We ordered takeout today, and the worker claimed they would notify us when the food was ready, but we never got a call or text. We went to pick up the food after a reasonable amount of time (30 minutes), to find that our food was cold and soggy. I ordered the chicken Parmesan, and my chicken was mostly burnt breadcrumbs, with barely any meat. The Cesar salad was drowning in dressing, the calamari was extremely soggy and crumbly. And on top of this, these meals are extremely expensive. I paid 17 dollars for the chicken Parmesan, only to get a burnt meal. The cheese that goes onto the dish was dried up , or feeling like it was just taken out of the fridge. Totally not worth the $17. Overall, I was honestly disappointed with my meal, and would not order here again.

On of my favorite dishes is a fried seafood platter. I wa very disappointed with the seafood platter at Chapins. Small portions of seafood, over cooked with an abundance of fries. Service was very good.

I want to give Chapins another try, because the food was good. We loved the watermelon mojitos, the spicy fried pickles, and my husband liked his steak sandwich. We arrived 40 minutes before kitchen and bar closed. Our server was pleasant and informed us of that.My husband was served his meal, I was told mine was coming right up. I watched as server after server left the kitchen window with plates of food. A runner came out told me they were waiting on fries.I had to convince my husband to eat without me. It was nice to see all the staff sitting together eating; however, they should not have split our tables orders for staff dinner. I would've prefered both our meals take longer. I was told again, it was coming soon, just waiting on fries. It was a good 15 minutes after my husbands meal. My Cape Caughter and fries came out hot, and both were good. I loved the tartar sauce. The fish was fresh but oily, probably dropped twice once fries were ready, but I still enjoyed it. I'd try them again...but not at the end of the night if our table gets split up by the kitchen to feed the crew. Service was great, kitchen needs to prioritize!
