Wonderful staff! We swooped in to their store to film part of a movie last week. The staff were amazingly helpful, and very gracious and respectful with the legendary John Cleese.
Thanks for all of your hard work and help bringing this film project together.

The selection at this location is much more than the one at the Phoenix location and both are great. We came to get the second book in a series that my daughter just finished the first book and we were able to find it, and she is already off on her way reading it. So great to be able support a local store with our reading needs. It is definitely worth spending a little more to keep local stores in business. There is literally something for everyone in this store even non book lovers. Great toys, games and puzzle selection as well as souvenirs from Arizona it is definitely a book store and a gift shop.

Still an old favorite of mine. Independent local bookstore that has a great selection on a variety of topics. Some resale books too as well as a lot of unique gift ideas. Before the pandemic, authors would do book signings and other classes were held. Support independent booksellers and bookstores!

The book a coworker had been discussing with me for years was published in December 2020. With coworkers catching Covid at work (including yours truly), vaccination program offered to employees who wanted them- and people out sick from both vaccine doses (including yours truly), and life getting more and more hectic, it was only in April Bob mentioned to me his book was out! Currently available at Changing Hands by special- order only. Once ordered, you're not able to return for a refund, even if the cashier is just at the other side of the desk.

Think I'll just order from Amazon from now on. The cost per book was the same- usually CH runs $5-15 higher per book!- so I decided to give CH my business, as I try to support local shops. The books would've arrived in two days, or less via Amazon, compared to a week from CH, and I would've been able to return one or both books, if I wanted to. (I already have the Kindle version, which Bob makes a percentage of, and he'd have to pay $5 printing charges for each book purchased online and at any bookstore. E-books sounded the best deal for any author and the environment!) I only bought these books so that he could autograph them, and also to show him my support.)

At least I was able to enjoy some sweets from neighbor Wildflower Bread Co on this trip. Goodbye, Changing Hands!

A great place to browse, and purchase all selections of books for all ages, you can also purchase nonbook items. The staff was helpful and friendly. The environment was comfortable and you have access to Wildflower cafe. I will return and recommend to others.

Absolutely wonderful local bookstore. This is always my first choice to peruse for fun gifts and books. My kids really enjoy the kids' section as well. I've been to a few of the author events hosted by Changing Hands and they were run very well. The employees are SO friendly and gracious. Please don't ever change, Changing Hands!!! You're a gem!!!!!

What the big book store wants to be when it grows up. Great people, selection and all for us locals. Just visiting, stop by and see how lucky we are to have an amazing neighborhood bookstore

Less than pleased with the atmosphere in this bookstore. On both occasions the staff have been cold and unfriendly. My boyfriend and I are so used to
Being able to remove our masks while being seated, when we were approached for sitting alone by the bathrooms without our masks we were both surprised.A man with long hair in a ponytail informed us that we were unable to remove our masks at any time in the bookstore so we willingly obliged and put our masks back on. However less than a few minutes past he is seen watching us from across the store on several occasions trying to see if we were wearing our masks properly. While I understand the importance of wanting to keep the business up and running his efforts were honestly borderline harassment. He once again came over and Told my boyfriend he was not wearing his mask properly as it had slipped below his nose during our conversation. As we spoke to him another associate was called over and he began to inform us that We could wait outside while they shopped for us. (We were merely interested in sitting and having a conversation over a book in a small corner of the bookstore away from everyone else.) After we decided it was time to leave, we witnessed two women in the store clearly wearing masks below their noses to which the employees saw and said nothing. We watched as the women walked freely in the store as we were strongly encouraged to shop elsewhere. While I understand the mask mandate, the level to which the store interacts with customers is robotic and frankly obsessive. If you were truly concerned about the health and well-being of your customers why are you open?
