My experience with Chandra Rugs was a bit disappointing. The rug I received had some minor defects, and it took them a while to resolve the issue. However, they eventually provided me with a replacement.

I had a very average experience with Chandra Rugs. The quality of their products was mediocre and the customer service was just okay. I expected better considering the reputation of the company.

I had a mixed experience with Chandra Rugs. The rug I purchased was beautiful and came with fast shipping. However, the customer service was a bit lacking when I had an issue. Overall, it was an average experience.

I am a designer showroom in Scottsdale Arizona and deal with hundreds of furniture manufacturers. I will never purchase from this company ever again. I was treated and spoken disrespectfully by Chandra the owner himself. He sent the wrong rug to a customer and it wasn't caught at the time of delivery by my customer. and so because it was opened and and is now on my customer's floor he refused to take care of the issue and exchange it for the correct rug. BAD BUSINESS - BE CAREFUL

My interior designer purchased a Chandra rug (around 10x14 ft, approximately); it was delivered to my house in early to mid October but because my house was still being renovated, we could not open the rug (as it would otherwise get dirty). We opened the rug around mid November; at first glance it looked very nice but about a week later, we notified my designer that it had significant release of wool fibers; in fact, my house looked like it had a cat running around! This apparently is normal for the early life of the rug. However, we became more aware of the issues with the rug because of these loose fibers; we noticed that there were frank areas missing wool and other areas had the wool separating from the base of the rug. I called Chandra, who at first only wished to speak to my designer but after pushing for a bit, they allowed the conversation to happen; they asked for photos which were sent to them immediately. They reviewed the photos and determined that these faults were "normal for handmade rugs." I don't understand how that can be normal as the areas looks like a stray dog missing part of its coat! She offered to have me return the rug for in-house inspection but if they disagreed with me (i.e. disagreed that these are true issues), then I would be responsible for the 20% restocking fee plus freight (for a $2000 rug, that's about $550). I shared my disappointment with them and they offered no further solution; they reiterated that I had 10 days to inspect the carpet (good luck trying to find these issues in a wool carpet the size of 10x14 ft in such a short time) and 30 days to return it from the date of delivery, suggesting I had created these issues (mind you, the defects are clearly manufacturer based). I found that to be rather insulting.

I am writing these review to express my frustration and plain out disappointment with Chandra rugs; without a doubt, the rug is very nice but for the price ($2000), I would have expected better customer service and more importantly, much better quality. Just because something is hand made does not mean that imperfections are acceptable, again, not when it cost that much. I had planned to buy 2 more rugs for my house but now that I can't depend on them for service, I will take my business elsewhere and I suggest you all do the same. I will be contacting the BBB of Georgia to let them know of the incident.
