I recently acquired a security position with this company. Managers and supervisors were creating a very hostile work environment and once I started to record the actions of supervision I was taken off the schedule and terminated I do not recommend this company to any security officer looking for employment to better their future in this career... This company is now under investigation by the EEOC Labor Board...

Please do not listen to those other reviews which were clearly written by representatives of this company. While they do have great equipment in terms of cars, and armed guards, they still are incredibly incompetent. They patrol one the apartment complex where I live, but only come for reasons that THEY think are worth it. And if they don't think it's worth it, then they just tell you to call the police. I have complained on many occasions about an upstairs neighbor running their washer past midnight. With thin walls, and cheap built in washer and dryers, the sound is really obnoxious. Every time I call, the person on the other line says they will not answer our complaint because the neighbors have the right to not answer the door. So on occasions of music complaints, or any other noise complaint, what does the guard do? Just not show up because oh, they have a right to not open the door. When you get upset with them for not doing their simple job, they just tell you to call the police. Police are for emergencies, not complaints. My monthly rent check PAYS for this service, but they can't even do a simple job. Do not do business with this joke of a security company.
Tina called me for a possible job opportunity.. This was the most unprofessional person i ever spoke to. She yelled at me. Please do not contact me for anything ever. Do better Tina!!!
This is the most unprofessional company to work for a waste of time they trained me to work at the Dallas Zoo for 5 days straight I had to take a test. the next few days I was place at another post. So I made it to the other post the other officer did not know that he was training me so I ended up going home because they told me to do so and someone will call me from the office the next morning 2 days went by nobody never call
Worst Security company ive ever worked for they have the worst post and not really many post at all im currently applying for a different company as i type this the pay is just as horrible
Hi, guys. I was one of the first people to be with Champion through getting their successful winning contract with save a lot. I worked with them for almost a year. Champion was great. Toward the end of working with them I was going through a lot and a little late at times. They were very patient. The only thing that threw me over the edge and force me to quit was the manager named George. One word, horrible. I hope he isn t there anymore. After leave I start working for another company that George worked for and it turns out that he was fired from his previous job before working with champion and champion still hired him. I ve worked for .... about 1,2,3,4,5 security companies to build my experience and knowledge in Criminal Justice and see how these companies work and this would probably be one of the worst for certain reasons. Pay sucks, but room for overtime. Good hours and you get paid weekly but you re not at one post. You re at multiple all over Cleveland. Oh, and I forgot, I got yelled at for doing my job too well, but I can t blame it on champion, I guess. It s save a lot. Nevertheless, most of the security companies throughout Cleveland suck!!!
P.S. My advice, go for the business Corporation jobs if looking to be in security and not the security company that are all contracts. University Hospitals, Amazon, Cleveland Clinic, Colleges, federal building (current job) etc.
I have happily worked for Champion for over a year and this is my advice. Anyone getting into this field has to understand that as a level 2 guard ,where everyone starts out, all you are is a butt in a seat to occupy a post. Anyone can do this job within the hiring requirements so no one should expect 5 star service because level 2 guards are a dime a dozen. The job is what you make it. By that I mean the old saying you get out of it what you put in to it. You as a guard have to show management that you want to be there and that you want to work for what you want. It's good for gaining experience and for advancing to a level 3 security officer and beyond. If you don't want to sit at a post for 10-12 hours a day and interact with people constantly then don't get into this field, plain and simple. I'm a people person and I enjoy being in a position where I can help people and provide a security service to the post I am on. You also have to remember management is dealing with hundreds of guards so be patient.
Go some where else. Could be your last day and you wouldn t know it. Doesn t offer to find other post for you. Won t answer the phone. Pathetic all around.
(To the owner replying: Don t even bother searching my name, it ll be useless)
