It was clean, smelled good, fresh linen. The staff was so friendly! The pool was nice! Not the biggest, but perfect for a family to play. The hot tub was amazing!
I actually googled how I could buy the blanket,it was sooooo soft and cozy. I would totally come back here. The view was also great, we could hear the creek outside of our window. There was a pretty green belt you could walk around with a babbling brook.
Edit: Renee, can I buy one of those sweet sweet comforters anywhere?!

The rooms are large and very clean! The pool and hot tub felt great and the breakfast was delicious. All of the staff we worked with were friendly and super knowledgeable of the area. This is absolutely a hotel I will recommend over and over!

Great experience, we usually stay at the Marriott but there weren't any around. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Renee let us check in early, made sure we had a crib for our little since they were fully booked up. We went to watch fire works in Grand Lake and came back to a great night's sleep. The room was clean, we had breakfast and let the kids swim in the pool before leaving. We will stay again, thanks for great service, smiling faces and warm hospitality!!!

For the location....price is average, the beds are nice and the bathroom looked clean however ...(I stayed on labor day weekend) busy yes, but when I got into my room and unpacked and settled in I found a few rasins on the floor by the computer desk, (or I hope the where raisins). The other bad thing was when I walked into the room it smelled like dog..... Like there where a few dogs in the room before my stay here.but I was able to open the window and that smell was gone in a few hours,... Speaking of smells, I know weeds legal here in Colorado, that's fine....but its still smoking, and I went to go get ice and 2 punks had the door to the out side propped fully open and there getting high and blowing the smoke back into the hotel hallway....huh "smoke free property" must only be in the daylight hours....hmmm.... Like I said $100 plus a night ($129 BEFORE TAX)....more like a $50 to $65 a night...(at night after 11pm this place draws the "motel 6 crowd" for as pricey this room is for what it is I expected a little better quality and management.
Now....onto the positives, the front desk staff where very friendly (Tanner and Kesha) my god the most friendly and knowledgeable employees in the area and well mannered too (I went out to eat and my waitress wasn't as nice as these 2 folks are). I was very happy to know these two cared about doing there best in there work.
The breakfast was average(although the cinnamon rolls are very very good, like a step down from Cinnabon and a step up from Pillsbury) the rest of the breakfast spread Is about what you'd expect from a holiday inn(express or not), not a lot of seats in the dinning room though....
Also like to put a good note, there are at least 3 luggage carts here as well...makes unloading easy and quick and a small wait for a cart (under 5-7 mins for one to show up), I thank management for that.

So overall I say 3 out of 5 stars, if the maids took a second look before leaving the rooms and management enforced the SMOKE FREE signs on the property (that's worth 1.5 stars right there) then that would make the over $100 per night much more reasonable...then nip the dog smell situation in the but and I'd give 5 stars....(perhaps the maids should spray from breathe or something along that line to make the rooms smell fresher.

I am from out of state, first time here and as always, I give a honest review good or bad, to help the next guy out in what to expect, anyone can say its nice or it sucked....but if you don't say WHY....then I say why bother....

Thanks again to the front desk staff....you 2 are the best around....

Great location next to a grocery store and the free bus line to take you to Winter Park, Granby and around town. Superior customer service by Sara and Helena. Indoor pool and great breakfast options were perfect for the kids.

FOOD HELD AT UNSAFE TEMPERATURE! One of the warming units is non operational. It is used to serve eggs, bacon, and sausage. When I spoke with the manager, there were excuses like well it only sits out for three hours and that s what they gave us and we are getting new different equipment in a month or so . Never was there an understanding of how unsafe this is. Hot food held at room temperature is a recipe for bacteria and food borne illness. Shouldn t management s response have been to remove the unit from service? Food service safety is not something to be taken lightly. You could kill someone.

Rooms were great, nice and clean. Very good breakfast options for vegans too. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. A big thumbs up for vegan friendly breakfast which we don't get everywhere.

Went here, mediocre, kind of filthy but a good 2-3 stars.
Rating 1 star because another reviewer complained about the staff stealing (which I don't doubt; sketchy staff) but the hotel replied saying 'sorry we couldn't give you money for drugs' insulting him for something unrelated. Who thought it was a good idea to accuse someone who payed to go here as a drug dealer with no evidence? Because you're vulnerable of your reviews going down?

Room was poorly cleaned, i travel all over for work and this has been the worse staff i have ever dealt with, my company pays for my room and when i checked my bank account 2 days later i noticed they had charged my card for the room, when i called to speak to a manager i was told they was to busy to deal with this and the clerk would take care of it and call me back. Never received a call. Called the next and they said it wil take 7 to 10 business days i asked to speak to a manager and they refused again!

Too many kids in general, but hotel apparently doesn't have a no-kids-in-hot-tub policy. Could not enjoy tub after skiing.
Also, their breakfast was ok the first day, but the same stuff got old real quick. Switch it up.

What a beautiful Holiday inn and the best deal in town! We stayed here last minute when our housing fell through back in January. The hot breakfast had everything imaginable (including eggs, biscuits, turkey sausage, pancakes, breads, pastries, jam, yogurt, etc.) and the staff was very friendly! The rooms were very neat and luxurious. The beds were comfy and the wifi worked well. When anyone asks me where to stay last minute, I point them to this hotel. You can't beat the price and what all is included.
My favorite part? The coffee/tea/hot coco bar that was open 24/7!

Best night stay on our 7 day trip, wish all holiday inns would use these same soft wonderful mattresses what they use here, the other ones are like plywood. The pool was great and the hot tub was clean and hot

The room was clean and the staff was both friendly and helpful. Free shuttle stops very close to the hotel. Many trails within a stones throw. Safeway and liquor store across the street.

My husband and I just arrived at this hotel for our honeymoon. He booked our room over a month ago and specifically reserved a rooom with a king size bed as we are both very tall and cannot sleep comfortably together in a queen bed. We arrive to the hotel and we have a room with 2 queens. We are here for a week and are sleeping in separate beds on our HONEYMOON! The people are the front desk are telling is we have no options and are unable to get a room with a king bed. We are extremely disappointed. We are being told that the next availability is Saturday, the day before we leave. We are being told that a manager will not be in until later this we, and we are basically screwed.

Friendly service and clean room! The staff was very friendly, attentive and smiled. Our sweet was very clean with a balcony and south facing view. Our kids enjoyef watching the train. Free Bus stop very close and runs late makes it easy to get to and from Winter Park resort and restaurants. The breakfast was good with a lot to choose from. Items included yogurt, hard boiled eggs, scambled eggs, pancakes, cereals, pastries, fresh fruits, bacon, sausage, variety of juices. The tubing accross the street looked really awesome...maybe next time.

Great location, high quality rooms and the best Holiday inn breakfast I ve experienced.

Took my family to Fraser for my son's 3rd birthday party for tubing. The hotel is conveniently located just down the hill from 2 tubing hills and near restaurants, and safeway also just off the main street so you drive to Winter park resort for skiing and snowboarding.
The staff wa friendly and accommodating to my party. They let us use the board room free of charge to hold his pizza party after the continental breakfast crowd was gone. The bed was firm, but they had soft and firm pillows to choose from, the bathroom and room was very clean, and everything was in great shape with modern furniture. Got a great deal on the room through priceline I can't wait to go back.

I was pleasantly surprised by the room here - spacious and updated. Also great service! Any interaction we had with staff over our 4-night stay was pleasant and they were very quick to help.
We had a microwave and fridge in our room, and a very comfy king bed. The A/C unit worked well and was not too loud. The bathroom had a fan and was spacious also. The continental breakfast was good, had a lot of options, and was as tasty as expected for the holiday inn breakfasts.
Great location - the Fraser river trail is right behind the hotel, Safeway is basically next door, and the hotel is very close to a great cafe (Rocky Mountain Roastery) and distillery (Fraser Valley Distillery).

Our visit with this establishment was remarkable. From the first day we got there. We got there earlier than anticipated, we were driving from San Antonio and Ericson (the individual at the front desk) was awesome. For some reason we were having issues with our reservations and he was so sincere regarding the matter. Instead of sending us off and making us wait till his manager (Renee Cook) to get there. He took the initiative and set us up with our room and told us that we can take care of it as soon as his manager got in. Later that day we met with Renee Cook and she resolved our matter with such professionalism. She was very understanding and made us feel very comfortable. My family was going to eat breakfast and we were running a little late; but the wonderful staff (young lady with blonde hair) so sorry I forgot her name. Informed us not to worry that she would wait a little longer so that we could get a bite to eat. She was so friendly and conversational, that it made us feel super welcome. The house keeping was wonderful. Smiling, always asking us if we needed anything and made sure if we needed our room clean. Dallas (Front desk young lady) made my heart melt. She took the time to get my daugther a bandaid and not making her feel like she was bothering her. She was so sweet to her; being a mother it meant alot. My family and I have stayed at plenty of enough hotels; but this far was the best we stayed in. Thanks guys for all you do and your excellent service. Happy, content and satisfied guest. Nice big rooms and comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and very accommodating to our request for more pillows and covers. Only complaint was a bit of mildew on our shower curtain but full size shampoo, conditioner and shower gel was great. No complaints about breakfast, it was amazing! Egg omelettes and sausage patties/links, pancakes, biscuits, oatmeal, assortment of juices, fresh fruit, and CINNABON!!

My husband and I stayed here during the Winterpark Jazz Festival. The overall experience was pleasant but frustrating because our room key kept getting deactivated and we had to go up and down from the third floor to get the problem corrected. Also, the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. The only reason I won't give a one star is because the staff did apologize.

It was clean, nice, the room was large and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet and the room had a nice seating area with a desk, keurig machine, microwave and large TV. Breakfast in the morning was the best, they had cinnamon rolls, biscuits, gravy, eggs, oatmeal, bacon, sausage, toast, and yogurt. Im definitely coming back!!
