Lovely castle. Lots of history and the grounds are stunning. We loved that we could have a picnic with local produce in the old mill. The castle is quirky and human size. That's what it makes it so special. We loved it..
A small Azay le Rideau. Also located on an artificial island in the river Indre. Beautiful garden. Camille Claudel and Auguste Rodin spent their summers in this romantic castle.
What a lovely little place! I really enjoyed it. A good place to see a Chateau that is currently occupied and not just a museum - see how a French family may live...and also get a dose of history! A great place for a picnic.
What a beautiful maintained castle! The special thing is, it is inhabited. You don't see many signs of that until you reach the kitchen. Beautiful blend of both worlds.

Outside you can bring or buy food and picnic near the river.
On hot days it is the best place to find some shadow.

I absolutely loved this castle, we love finding small castles with history and quirkiness. So we where so happy to have been here. Special mention for the extras the do, picnic in the beautiful grounds, Boats you can take to row in the river and many other special touches
