I have been volunteering and donating here for decades. It's a fantastic organization to get involved with to help your fellow Central Texans in need. My father recently passed away and this was the place we loved volunteering together the most. In his name I started a Virtual Food Drive and donated almost 1,000 lbs worth of non perishable food, and I will continue the tradition in his honor, especially during the holidays!
Families being hungry in this country, in this day in age with all the massive corporate wealth, is truly heartbreaking to me. I give what I can on a regular basis, not to make myself feel good, but to let these people, these angels, do the ultimate good that they can only do. The only thing that gives me peace is knowing a family or families will have food and nourishment.
I volunteer at this facility whenever I can make the time. I have been blown away by the impact a few hours of your time can make with respect to the incredible organization of Central Texas Food Bank. I have met so many lovely people that work and volunteer there and I highly recommend making the time to volunteer here. You will be helping SO many others and they make it fun while you re there!

OTR Drivers appointment only no overnight parking fast unloading
Volunteered in the warehouse as food sorting for approximately 3 hrs. They offer AM and PM volunteer shifts. Companies can volunteer as a group. Parents can volunteer with their children. Wonderful experience that helps out the community!
The food bank was very resourceful, it gave us good information to find food.
It was an amazing blessings to have center Texas food bank, they really help.
