I ve been house hoping since the end of 2019. My first case worker she stayed in touch met my needs of being homeless she would email me instead of mail. Call to confirm she was sending it out. Then they switched to another lady who OBVIOUSLY just makes up her own notes this time last year I had been in rehab from a surgery on my leg. I emailed my caseworker an my last email from her is saying she received my information. I m back working an on my feet an it crossed my mind I haven t heard from them so I call an left a voicemail for a call back. I received today an basically was told my caseworker noted my case that I wasn t responding to emails ! Mind you my last email from this caseworker is dated 11/20. From this false statement I have to wait for the waiting list too open again. Disabled has a child an NOT CONTACTED VIA EMAIL NOR PHONE AN OBVIOUSLY NOT VIA MAIL. I m so grateful the supervisor called me an heard me out. An is working with me

I am a home owner who called to check on the section 8 process. While I do have a tenant trying to get section 8, my questions were how the process worked in general. The lady who answered my call was condescending, rude, and was argumentative. Trying to understand the process was all but impossible and ended in us yelling at each other. My name is Robert M Dennis and I called on 6/12/18 14:00. I do not remember the name of the lady I called unfortunately, but she was very strange. Many of her answers were not answers to my questions about the process but instead more about my bottom line. She kept telling me what i should and should not be doing with my property. I am not sure who she normally talks to or "manages" with this advice but it was highly unwanted nor needed.

First I'd like to say I am very thankful to have been accepted on the program, however my case worker A. Paccate is very hard to reach. I have yet to receive a phone call back, email, or even personally meet her. I've even so far as reached out to her supervisor Ms. Lynch who has yet to contact me back in regards to me being information. Today, after driving all night long from Tennessee back to Texas, so I can sign my contract so my payments can begin I was told they are closed to the public and will send out emails, an email I'm sure I will never receive. For me being a first timer on this program the process and need for help with questions and concerns is horrible. My landlord is freaking out because he's also in the dark and is trying to see what's best as far as the rent being paid. I see no point in having a case worker when they are always ghost. She didn't even so much as wanted to come out to meet with me when I drove 20+ minutes to come sit with her to get answers on what I should do. This time I just can't take it anymore and hope someone contacts me soon because I left my children in Tennessee just to come all the way here to get things started. I have now become frustrated and feel like I'm not important as a citizen or resident. All this inconvenience has upset me so. You should email about closure before people waste their time and gas. Better yet simply call back, email, or come from the back when we as the people are trying.

I've been with sec 8 for 4yrs and my counslor is Shiela Beltran. We email each other and she has always been good about answering my questions and getting back to me in a timely manner. I never call due to no one answering phones or when leaving messages. They are never returned. I prefer email. Counslors are busy and cannot take calls all day.

This place is great. Lots of information in here. The 911 addressing office, ombudsman for those in nursing homes, etc. Staff is helpful and in the past have helped with great causes such as donating 911 material such as coloring books, pencils, crayons, frisbees, etc to school groups, clubs, etc. It's all about educating others.
