For some reason this company has been charging my credit card every month. Wells Fargo will not let me cancel it. It says "Payment Protection Plan." I have no idea what this is. It smells very fishy like some sort of scam. Seems like Wells Fargo is in bed with them to get the principal on my credit card higher so they can charge me more interest. NOT COOL! Central States Indemnity Co of Omaha, you do NOT have my permission to charge my credit card. Stop charging my credit card RIGHT NOW!!!

After a horrid experience with the websites Medicare suggested I visit for Gap Insurance this Company had a phone number that was answered by a Person who knew the plans and gave me help in picking a plan. they also had there rating A+ listed on the page, not everyone did.
I was able to do everything over the internet and now have an agent I can call with questions.

I just found out that after paying into Central States Indemity Co of Omaha insurance I am unable to receive any funds. My husband died in 2015. I received notice from Wells Fargo earlier this year, 2017, that my "optional product" would not be paid for through my mortgage. When I called to find out what the "optional product" was I was told the "death insurance". I explained that my husband had died and I filed the claim. I received the payment a month or 2 later but I cannot deposit it because it is made out to the "estate of". There is no estate. Now its been 2 years and the only thing open with both our names is the mortgage account. I called CSI and asked what should I do. They said find someone to cash it. I then asked what would happen if I returned the check to them. I was told it would go to unclaimed property because they couldnt change the name on the check. I then asked if at the time of my demise could my children get the funds. They said "no". So, we unknowingly had this account. Made payments through our mortgage for 15 years yet I cannot get the funds because of how it was written out. I also asked why was it written out this way and was told because noone was listed as the beneficiary. I am not understanding this.

This company is charging me a fee every credit card statement without my permission. US bank can do nothing, and this company won't respond. They are literally stealing my money every month. I have never and will never give my consent for them to charge me a "credit insurance fee" This has been going on for 4 years now. With multiple calls and letters to stop charging my fee. This company is a fraud and should be prosecuted.

RUN, Do Not Walk, RUN from this company. If you feel a need to part with your money, please consider donating it to a worthy charity, or at least simply toss it our your car window, knowing that it will bring joy to someone's day. Do NOT give this company your money. after eight years of $22 /mo premiums, my claim was summarily denied, obfuscated, made excuses over, found 'invisible clauses' in the original (and updated) terms, which "clearly state" that the claim will only be processed if the following....etc etc. Denied, denied denied.
The claims process is designed to be unnavigable, incomprehensible and even if you arrive at the true meaning of a paragraph, they can change it at will by quoting "changes to the policy" that were never announced. The C.S.I Supplemental Unemployment Insurance policy I just cancelled makes an IRS 1040 Long ( with Schedules)form look like a comic book.
I feel that I have been robbed by misrepresentation. I have cancelled my policy, but left the claim open, and will be seeking further complaint with the attorneys general of my home state as well as CSIs'.
I have no 'rating' low enough for this company or its services

Please be careful with purchasing supplemental heath care with Central States Indemnity. I am awaiting guidance from various agencies on how to best address ethical concerns with CSI. Please research before purchasing a Medigap policy with Central States Indemnity (CSI).

Not a scam. This is a Berkshire Hathaway company. I save a lot of money on my
Medicare supplement plan by switching to CSI. They do not bombard me with wasteful mailings & advertising. They provide the coverage they agreed to as determined by Medicare.

I don't understand the bad reviews - my Medicare Supplement coverage with CSI has been problem-free!!

I am also a victim of this scam.. seeking legal counsel.
