Spent money, time and energy to visit the school, get my transcripts to them etc... They knew right off rip what I was interested in, I did not come here "undecided." They called me like A WEEK before classes to let me know they wouldn't be doing the forensics program after all (this was fall 2018).
Looking back, when I went to register for a tour that summer, the forensics program was NOT on the website but the "advisor" reassured me they DID have the program, and that it was a website error.

Perhaps just a BIG misunderstanding.

I'll consider it a blessing things didn't work out. It could have been worse, they could have taken my money and offered me a worthless degree. The guy admitted that graduates weren't getting hired so I DO appreciate the honesty. Really. I do.

For those who are complaining of the graduation rate, remember this is a two year school. Most students go to a technical school to get started and then transfer on to a 4 year degree or higher.

So far my experience has been excellent. Good staff people who care about your personal development.

Newsflash to those who are complaining, COLLEGE GIVES YOU WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT.

This school is nothing but a joke. Especially the financial aid. They like to degrade you, talk down on you, lie to you, and never communicate with you to let you know that you need to turn something in to receive your money for classes and books. Before first semester started called them to see how much money I got they told me I didn't have none that they needed a bunch more paperwork. Just to get that paperwork done I had to drive there several times for a few seconds even though it was a 45 minute drive one way and I had to call multiple times since they wouldnt communicate with me. Second semester talked to financial aid they told me I was all good and was getting so much money for books then few days later get an email saying that they will be taking some money away but wasn't going to tell me.

I was here to get a degree in Early Childhood. I live in Delaware, Ohio but I liked the class sizes here. I was also very happy with the fact that many classes were online as well as in the evening and on weekends. Being someone who works full-time, this was perfect over my schedule. Over the years, I have watched the number of online classes dwindle. Now they are doing away with not only evening and weekend classes, but summer classes. They took away the entire summer semester in my field, so not only was I being forced to take classes in campus during my work hours, but I was losing the option to take classes during the summer. I'm a teacher and I'm off in the summer. COTC has really let me down. It used to be a college for the working adult. They are just following where the money is. I registered at another school and will not being recommending COTC to anyone I know. Such a shame.
