Centennial Parklands is a beautiful huge park in the eastern suburbs. A great park to go for a run, bike, chill by the lake or do picnic. The park has kids play area, a lake, bbq spots, restrooms, great bird life, centennial homestead (cafe/restaurant), etc.
The park also has great variety of beautiful flowers, tall trees and many other species of different trees and plants.
There s also a moonlight (outdoor open air cinema) in the park which runs for a couple of months every year.
Love it.
Reasonably quiet on a weekday and lot's of big chickens
Previous visits here have been walking around the main circuit. Today we walked the track on the outer perimeter for a different perspective.
We went on a weekday, so parking was very easy. There's also light rail and bus as an alternative.
Massive Moreton Bay and Port Jackson figs, some existed here prior to the park in 1888. Just stunning.
You won't have any trouble finding the Federation Pavillion. On this site is where the ceremony took place to commemorate Federation - 6 colonies joining the commonwealth 1st Jan 1901.
It s just a splendid place in the middle of Sydney! You feel like the four million people in the city have simply evaporated as your take a stroll midweek. Amazing wetlands and forests filled with all sorts of animals: turtles, birds, bats, possums etc take a picnic and spend a full day enjoying its wonders
If you want to feel at peace, this is the address.
It is a good opportunity to see Lakes, green cover, and the connection among people.
Fantastic parkland in the heart if the city. Relax, excercise, picnic or explore. Very family friendly.
Love centennial park! Perfect place to walk your dog, go for a bike ride, have a picnic, go for a run.... You can do everything here and surrounded by lots of wildlife
Tha Park is a good place to go for a walk, jogging and bicycle riding. It is very relaxing and beautiful place to spend time, especially in Spring, when the flowers are blooming. However, it may get crowded over weekend.
This is a great huge park for any activities that you like, a quality time bonding with family, from picnic to playing soccer even cricket. Theres also riding a horse, and even renting a bike. It has duck pond with big fishes and little turtles. Check out the garden as well.
Its a perfect place for weekend. Also you can do some jogging and walking.
