My mount was deemed a dud straight out of the box during this pandemic. Celestron, Quickly told me to send it back once received they worked on it the same day and all repairs were done and shipped back right away! I love this company. As far as the other folks there a staff of 200 employees. Their closed on Sundays and there working overtime to deal with over 1,000 calls that come in from all over the world. They personally called me on a Sunday to fix two of my other tickets. On hold for 40 minutes is nothing, I was on hold for 4 hours. Sometimes they couldn't get back to my call the same day. So this 5-star review is not fake! (in response to Trenton's 1 star review) It's hard breaking when we received things that don't function as they should but rest assure there Customer Service is 5 stars in my book! Thanks Elena for all your help and professionalism towards me during this pandemic.

My disappointment started as soon as I opened the box. It was missing pieces. I move on and set it up. The app doesn't work and tells me to call Tech Support. Tech Sup is condescending, lazy and stories contradict each other by the reps. 2 weeks later....it still doesn't work. Awful company. No support. Go with Meade.

Apparently Covid19 has wiped out communications with Celestron. The plant likely is shut down. I have been trying to get in touch with them since last winter to send back a new hand controller which never worked at any time. They sent back emails that provided no information and they failed to follow up after mentioning they would. The controller fails to slew to any star and fails to keep the mount tracking, losing any sense of which hemisphere I entered properly, and is just a major disappointment. I am not new to astronomy and have used these controllers before. This is the latest version controller. It cannot be updated. The mount works fine with all other controllers attached. I will mail this one back and expect one in return that functions right out of the box.

I received one of their products, a hand warmer, as a gift. The first time I try to use it and it doesn t work. I contacted the company about a replacement and they won t replace it because I don t have the receipt. I told them multiple times it was a gift. Instead they offer me a 25% off coupon to buy another one. Why would I do that when they don t work. I would not recommend their products.

Issue with order - charged for purchase, shipment confirmed, but when box arrived, product was NOT IN THE BOX. CELESTRON refused, over and over again, to cooperate with resolution, to the point of making it necessary to address the issue with my credit card company to resolve. Celestron management was impenetrable and unresponsive.

During my research to find a pair of good astronomy binoculars and possibly a telescope, I frequently came across these two brands: Celestron and Orion. From what I read here, it appears Celestron doesn't care about customers. They don't even bother responding to unhappy customers and resolve the issue. I will take my business somewhere else. Received damaged telescope and horrible technical support. I ordered in one month 3 telescopes for my family, Celestron FirstScope Moon Signature, PowerSeeker 80 AZS, and the PowerSeeker 114 EQ. We also ordered a telescope lense kit for $200, solar filter, additional tripod, and laser sight. Over $1,000 for family fun. All great except the lenses didn t fit or work right with the AZS and the EQ arrived damaged. It was also extremely out of collimation. No collimating tools were included. I sent an email to Celestron for help, no reply. Opened a ticket, no reply. Called and spoke to Rod who said I would have to provide pictures because that didn t sound accurate. I sent pictures showing the box as it was delivered (damaged) boxes inside the UPS box, all damaged. The 114 EQ dented. Still no reply. rgallardy@celestron.com still waiting for your reply sir because the telescope will not fix itself. And I will NEVER buy another one of your products. In fact I will make sure to purchase competitors and tell everyone how horrible Celestron has been.
