The best chinese restaurant.
i had few times dinner in this place and also i order from home and really havevery good food and nice staff.
I recommend the Aromatic crispy duck, is amazing

Yummy food, quiet atmosphere, but quite cold inside (I had to keep my jacket on!). Otherwise, decently priced and quick service :)

We arrived as a group of ten around 9:45pm on a Friday night before Christmas. They managed to find us a table within about ten minutes.
The staff were polite and seemed to be quite understanding of the slightly worse for wear members of the group (not that anyone was being rowdy).
We were able to get get drinks at the bar and look at the menu whilst we waited for the table. Once seated and we'd ordered the food arrived amazingly quickly and was delicious.

Consistently amazing! We ve eaten here many times and the lunch deal can t be beaten. Fantastic selection of starters and mains and we love every single one.
The service is brilliant, you are made to feel very welcome.
They also use proper chopsticks, not the wooden ones you have to split- see pics.
Great selection of drinks as well. Plenty of seating but worth booking if you have a large party.

Finally, I gave it a go after a long time of wondering what it is inside and absolutely not disappointed. Excellent Mandarin, Szechuan and Cantonese dishes to choose from and freshly cooked. The service is quick and the place is all spic and span including the WC. The building itself is a former Georgian library with a beautiful ceiling. The staff is always attentive and is friendly. Definitely recommended paying a visit and tasting the food, you would thoroughly enjoy it.

Me and my friends came here for dinner on Friday 14th August.
We had a very nice dinner, everything was good especially the duck and dumpling.
We had a very nice time we felt very comfortable thanks to our italian waiter.
He was very nice, funny,helpfull with the menu , and very good looking.
In the end when we ask for the bill he said he would miss us
We know he was joking but anyway was nice to hear it.

Got a takeaway from this place Via uber eats. I have to say it is one of the worst meals I have ever had. I ordered the chicken Gyoza, sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice and spring rolls. The Gyoza was the only thing which was edible, the rest I threw in the bin once id tasted it. Very bland, no flavour what so ever. Chicken was soggy and fatty and the sauce was vile. Spring rolls had no filling in what so ever, and were completely tastless. I would avoid ordering from here despite the good reviews as It is honestly awful! I'm sorry Cathay Rendezvous for the bad review but it needs to be addressed so you avoid further bad reviews in the future. Would not order again and would strongly advise not to order from this place. Rory.

I highly recommend this place, did the upmost to accommodate me for my 30th birthday. Outstanding service especially during covid 19 pandemic. Very pleased with all the team. Food was amazing to i cannot wait to go back here to dine.
Im very fussy and like to pick fault with everything but this is one venue i could not pick fault with.
Look forward to seeing these guys again.

Dropped in as looked great from outside. Looks nice inside also nice and clean and were seated quickly. Unfortunately that's as far as good comments go. We waited 10 minutes to be served not even taking our soft drink orders or even acknowledging us. The family on table next to us had to call staff to take order. We ended up walking out and going elsewhere service was just too slow.

Broth could have been better. I enjoyed the starters more than the main. Prwan fingers are delicious,l.

This is a bit of a king st institution, as its been around for decades. Only went fot the first time recently and the food was excellent, great gyoza and a really tasty Cantonese style curry. They do a really good value Express menu for lunch / early evening.

The worst service I have ever received!!! The waitress seated us, we go there regularly and often spend lots of money, but today the waiter told us if we only wanted to order prawn dumplings then we have to get a takeaway and leave. The restaurant wasn't even full. I would never recommend this place to any of my friends.

The Staff are very friendly and courteous. The Beef Brisket is beyond exceptional. Very happy to recommend this Restaurant.

This place knows how to satisfy their clients. Constantly with a welcoming demeanor. The food is reasonably priced, constantly flavorful and neat.

Eat in during COV19 available. Bean curd in black sauce was delicious.

Terrible delivery standard our order arrived cold, the duck with our pancakes were mainly fatty chunks and there was no more than 10 strips of cucumber and spring onion. Do avoid ordering via takeaway if possible.

Excellent. This was our second visit. We had the set meal for four people. The service was fast efficient and very friendly. All of the dishes were of the quality you'd expect at this price point. We won't hesitate going again.

One of my top list in bristol. Consistently great food is served every time I go. Price is fair too. The only problem is they are normally busy over weekend. Next time we better book if we are going there again on Saturday.

Have'nt been here for a few years, but have had a number of nights if fine dining, excellent atmosphere, food very good.

We have been dining at this restaurant for over 10 years and its fair to say other Pan-Asian dining establishments do not match up to the great standard as Cathay Rendezvous have. I would be a lie to say that every visit frequented by us has been superb but 99% of the time it has always been of the highest standard. The new management of Richard & Helen are striving to re-establish the place as a number one dining spot in amongst the elite of Bristols eating houses and I do believe they will succeed. Give it a try you will not be disappointed

The food was so tasty and the staff so friendly! Chinese New Year here was a total joy with a real dragon dance to celebrate. Also excellent for vegans with lots of tasty vegetables, mock duck and tofu mains.

We came here on a whim but had such a lovely time. Our server, Dory, was a star and super attentive. The food was great and fresh and better than we expected for a Chinese in Bristol. Would definitely recommend for a light meal.
