Great help when you can't decide. Fresh fish and great selection.

Catalina Offshore Products is amazing. They treat their customers so well. They don't have their cheesy garlic potatoes on the regular menu anymore - but you can preorder a tray (from their catering menu), and it's totally worth it! Love their batter and fried shrimp, and their items always taste so fresh!

The seafood is very fresh and the price is reasonable

Great selection of fresh fish! The staff were helpful and able to fillet any fish for you when asked. If you are a seafood lover, this is the place for you.

Awesome experience. Tommy is great with kids. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Can you give zero star?
We asked for Tuna fish for Poke, and later when preparing it we found out half of it was tendons so we had to dispose that part. When calling the store, the store manager Grant pointed out we didn't know what we wanted and next time we should ask for him. But didn't we ask for fish to prepare Poke? That should say enough not getting tendons.
Well, there won't be next time. We will buy our fish from where we usually buy La Jolla Fish Market. I am not sure why we went to Catalina store to start with. I guess lessons learnt!

Thanks for offering the replacement portion of the Tuna which was substantial (unlike what you pointed out that the trims should not be much). If I were offered the same generosity form the store manager Grant, I would not leave any bad review. However the tone of the response was not in that line and was more pointing out that it was our "fault" to purchase the wrong product and he could correct our "mistake" next time. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience from the product as well as your customer service and choose not to shop there in the future, even though it may not mean much to you and your business.

Stay away unless you are willing to take the full responsibility on misdelivery (i.e. you end up paying $150-200 on sushi/sashimi but there is a chance that you may not get a product and you won't get a refund) We have been a customer of this company from 2012 but unfortunately had to file a claim via BBB and card dispute today (3/1/2019) after Catalina refused to refund on an order we received 3 days after shipping (each order requires minimum $25 overnight shipping payment) claiming that inclement weather is something they can't cover. There has not been such shipping policy stated anywhere on the website until today, and the company just added a sentence 'Please note that FedEx and Catalina Offshore assume no liability for loss, damage, delay, misdelivery or nondelivery due to severe weather conditions, or other causes beyond either party's reasonable control. ' after I told them I would keep the screenshot of shipping policy (thank god I got all the screenshots of website before they manipulated shipping policy) Of course, delivered fish was completely gone bad and delivered as 'non-edible' status. They offered 20% off of next order as a 'nice gesture' and told me that former customer service manager mishandled such situations. Good luck, Catalina.

I ve only been a customer for about a year now, but on every occasion the quality of product, service, shipping, handling, billing, support, etc. has been exceptional. I really enjoy purchasing my sushi grade fish from Catalina Offshore because I can count on it being of exceptionally high quality, packed well, and shipped right on time.

i ordered $308 sashimi grade fish on 7/8/20, and scheduled to deliver on 7/9/20 Friday. I got an email that the package were arrived on 10:30am by FedEx priority overnight. The package was mishandled and was delivered at 8:30 pm, and all the dry ice was gone. I called and emailed the company at 3:00pm California time many time but no one replied me.

The company replied on Sunday and refunded most of the order . The company needed to know our Friday night dinner was ruined, post in your web that you are under staff so the customer can arrange accordingly.

I love Catalina Offshore. As a picky seafood eater, they always have a great fresh selection on hand. I have been trying to go once or twice a week for the past few months and have never been disappointed. The employees are extremely happy and helpful. I enjoy taking friends from out of town here.

Amazing fish store. If you like fish, you would do yourself a huge service by check me out this wholesale fish seller. They sell retail to Savvy shoppers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. most days. Definitely worth checking out. We think it's the freshest fish in San Diego..

This place is truly a Gem! The product is fresh and the care taken to have a clean safe environment has to be the best ive seen in San Diego only con is the employee's dont get paid what they are worth.

This place is the bomb, awesome prices! As fresh as you can get!

Bought their online package of (2) spiny lobsters, 1 pd of bay scallops & 1 pd of large shrimp. Shrimp and bay scallops were not too bad, the spiny lobsters were horrible, ending up throwing most of the meat out into the garbage disposal. The meat was mushy and water logged, as if it had been frozen to long.

We know how to cook the lobsters, has we used to have contacts in the fishing industry and bought many of these lobsters. None were ever nothing like these I bought from this place. I will never, never buy from these people again, as for the prices they charge, their product is terrible!

Best fish in town, for both home and pro chefs. They have a variable selection, and lots of frozen or packaged shellfish too, as well as a good selection of gifts and condiments. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable.
