Super helpful staff!

Super helpful staff!

They really took the time to have my 9 year old son pick out the right bat. He feels so much more confident with his new gear. Looking forward to watching him crush it at games.

Thank you so much, Casual Adventure Outfitters!!!

John and Eric were extremely helpful! It was a very simple process. While I sat in my car they worked on the Thule Hullavator Pro roof rack system. It took them a little over an hour. I was trying to figure out how to pull the lift system down and they were able to guide me on FaceTime saving me a trip back!

What a cool place to shop! From hard-core adventure equipment and clothing to Scouting supplies! The service was exceptional. The selection is excellent. Convenient location with Plenty of Parking. If they don't have what you want on site, they can get it! Pop in! Take a look around you won't regret it!

A top-notch outdoor outfitter for active sportsmen. Not inexpensive, the inventory of clothing seems to favor small, trim, petite people, while I prefer a larger generous cut for layering. They are willing to order anything if it is not available in your size

Such an awesome little shop with a great staff. No idea how they have such competitive pricing but this will now be my first stop before online or REI. The world needs more little stores like this.

Been there before, went in looking for water purification and filtering options. Ended up buying one of each type thing to see what works for me, and never know when and where I could get replacement filters, etc. Totalled way more than expected. Phone rang multiple times, loud music near hammocks, but Bruce Springsteen so not that painful, and tired of talking by then anyways, interrupting sales guy, which got annoying. Only one in the place and glad they are open but seems like could have gotten cheaper at say Walmart. I do support local businesses, but at $158 or so ( for 2 jugs, one big filter, one straw like filter, tablets and container cleaners) chlorine, iodine tabs and biologicals, causes money problems for a while... Interesting stuff, will see if it's worth it, sampling what works for me. Ymmv

Love this place. It's a little small, so I had previously chosen REI or EMS because I thought they would have a better selection, but after an awesome article about them in Arlington Magazine and then when EMS closed, I started coming here. It's awesome. Great selection, they can (and will!) order anything and it arrives in about a week, and perfect for all the camping gear your kids and scouts could want, as well as all the actual BSA scout stuff they are required to have. They really know their stuff, and the customer service is awesome. Highly recommend.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff
I needed some new socks to go with my new Belelville boots. Nice deal on the SmartWools (buy 3 pairs, get 4th free). They had a style I liked but I needed it in green for duty w/ the military. No sweat. Manager looked up the warehouse and ordered me 4 pairs in green.

I bought a great pair of Saloman hiking sandals here, and I tried on excellent hiking boots and backpacks. Sales people were very knowledgeable and helpful. They took time to make sure I got the product I wanted, and did an excellent job providing me with appropriate options. I am not an outdoorsman so I didn t know where to start, or what to look for. The people in the store gave me great options for buying shoes and a backpack. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for outdoor equipment and accessories whether you re an experienced outdoorsman or novice.

Bought a Easton mako bat from here. The bat cracked, Eric stern allowed me to swap my broken bat for a off the shelf bat so I wouldn't have to wait for 2 weeks for the new one to come from Easton and needing to be broken in. Then just bring the return to him. Unbelievable!!! No other sporting goods store would ever do that type deal. I will never go anywhere else until I check with them first.

Some discounted stuff bought there,

Some discounted stuff bought there,
went looking for shorts, with many pockets,
Columbia expensive,
and not in my size,
but they had 511 (tactical uniform like)
and one 3xl on discount
I bought 2 different ones, for comparison...
and there were store labelled root beer for a time,
plus boy scout stuff, for like cycling badges,
how to field manual, maps guides etc.
Used to be a cycle the c&o canal,
covered 5+ districts,
and would be a freeish camping option,
for learning..
