Having a few items looked into and then we go from there. I used them before because I got a flat tire at my daughters school. They did everything for me. They got a tow truck called place of business where I wanted to take my Range Rover to and the driver gave me a ride. All in a timely manner. They also kept me up to speed of when the tow trucker would arrive.
Stay away! I paid for Car Shields highest coverage plan for 18 months. I recently had problems with my car engine and Car Shield has refused to pay. Funny, they never refused my monthly payment! This is a ripoff! I will share my experience to warn others to just keep their money. It was a total waste of $2,000 paid in premiums! I have a kid in college, I can't afford to just give away money!
Do not sign up for CarShield, as they will not pay out for anything. Put your money that you would pay them into savings and use that when your car breaks down.
I have a contract, which states under Additional Coverages that Suspension is covered, which I specifically requested when I signed up in December of 2020. When I had a breakdown nearly 900 miles from home, I followed their process to make a claim. Each customer service rep at CarShield confirmed that the breakdown was covered, per my contract. However, when they transferred me to claims specialists, they ended up transferring me to a company called American Auto Shield and I was told that the suspension was not covered. This went back and forth between customer service reps and claims specialists for more than 15 calls. Ultimately, CarShield refused to pay my claim, costing me over $600 out of pocket after having paid CarShield $999 for coverage, which included the cost for the supplemental insurance for suspension, which is clearly defined in the contract.
My contract also states that they will pay up to $50 for any hotel stay incurred during a breakdown. They also did not pay that, stating that there has to be authorization by an administrator before a claim is approved. Yet when I asked them about his reimbursement, they said all I needed to do was to submit the bill for the hotel stay, which I did not get until after I checked out the next day. They will come up with any excuse not to pay.

Car Shield is a very beneficial warranty if you are truly looking to cover some major components to your car this is a route to go it is not the cheapest route but it is definitely a guarantee that your car will get fixed and you will not have to spend a lot of money to fix it truly home that many use the service especially if your car was bought from Enterprise Car Sales because they are true scam and will try to sell you anything. I hope and pray that you get this warranty if you purchase a car from this dealership. Thanks for this opportunity to publicly express my experience with your service and my concerns about this dealership that truly took advantage of me.
I have the Gold plan and have been paying $89.99 per month for almost a year. I finally need to use the coverage, so I took my vehicle into a repair shop and it was determined that I needed a "Shift Control Soleniod" and the "Harness" replaced on my Transmission. I wasn't worried initially because I knew that my Transmission was covered by CarShield. However, when the repair shop's technician called CarShield to verify coverage, they were told that anything "Electronic" was not covered on my policy. CarShield is a rip off!!! They put "Fine Print" in their contracts, so that the customer doesn't have a clue what they really cover!! So after paying $89.99 for almost a year, I cancelled the policy. There was no need to keep paying on something that they potentially wouldn't cover anything that my vehicle needs. I am through with CarShield!!! Their "Coverage" lacks and is a shame!!!!!
Stole my money. After I called the cancel. On my call I ask to cancel and review the call. They used reviewing the call to keep my policy open. Now, O am debating with BBB about getting my money back. I told the rep initially to keep the start up cost but, cancel my contract. Within the 30 day window. My 2004 Volvo S80 was going to cost over $15,000. Pointless to have Car Shield. Thinking it was cancelled and over, 4 months later they charge my credit card, stating I did not cancel, where is my confirmation code, which was not provided. So, I had to cancel again, and was threatened a $50 cancellation fee on top of the almost $200 they refuse to return. This program is a scam and best fits newer cars, unless you are rich. They say they will get the cost lowered for stuff not covered, but if your car is foreign or newer, the cost will be left with you.
Do not buy this product, as they have scammed others. They are on the BBB website and lost. Now, I am fighting with them to return my money. Yet, they are a multi-million dollar Corp. Always stepping on the little guys. For now.
Thanks for the horrible service and lesson learned. Please be advised, the management sucks and they base calls on what is written by the agent. Which, could be false. Management is HORRIBLE and rude, sad world we live in.
No repair I've had is covered. So far I've paid for almost 2 years and have had nothing paid for. You need a major engine part to fail before you are covered. By the time I need them, I will have paid for my repair up front.No non
working parts or repairs count. Isn't a thermostat an important part of the engine cooling system?

I purchased it 4-5 months ago, took my truck in for a few mechanical issues, been without transportation for 13 days, vendor, adjuster & Car Shield back and forth who will provide parts for my vehicle & iam stuck in the middle loosing daily without transportation! Looks so appealing on TV! Fact check so far lousy service!
