Carolina Raptor Center Review

This small, specialty zoo is home to multiple species of birds of prey. Most animals were rescued after sustaining injuries, and now are well cared for at this center. A well maintained path winds through woods, where one can glimpse hawks, eagles, vultures, owls, ravens, kestrel, and some more exotics, like the kookabura. A great gift shop filled with local artisans works, and a super polite staff made this an excellent stop for our family.

This place is the best to come to see and learn about many different species of bird. They do so much to help avian life with their rehabilitation services. They are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to learning about the many different species of bird housed there. I urge everyone to visit. They have a host of programs and events like the Eagle Experience and Homeschool days.

My friend recommended this center to me. I went today to check it out with my wife. It was a really enjoyable experience. We loved the scenic and nature filled atmosphere. The trees, leaves, sky, and sun were so beautiful. The raptors and birds were amazing. It was a very informative and enjoyable experience. Check out the many photos I took!

I love coming here, you can tell everyone has a passion for the birds and we enjoy seeing all the different birds on the trail. Looking forward to Quest opening

Really nice collection of predators, in a nice outdoor trail. My son had complained about not wanting to go but this was forgotten the moment he laid eyes upon a massive golden eagle. The raven near the start/end of the trail is a charming attention hog too!

Several unique species. Enjoyed the Raptor Trail. Do wish more info was given about the specific bird in the habitat rather than general species info.

It is so beautiful there! Easy to navigate and very shaded trail. We went on Water Day and they have cute activities with very knowledgeable and sweet volunteers/ employees.

This is a beautiful walk through. We wore boots, because it has been raining so much. Everyone did their social distance and wore a mask if they were around others that were not part of their group. This is an outdoor activity. We had a great time, reading up on the different birds and just enjoying a day outside.

The staff were friendly and informative. It was cool to see a bald eagle so close. The raven making noise near the end of the trail was my favorite part.
