It is really a lovely building and very family friendly.
Lovely historical building on the historic side of town houses a new themed display every couple of months. It's free to come and view, and is worth a visit every couple of months.
The exhibits are World Class curated by proffesionals you might expect to find in larger cities. And youd be correct! The Carnegie is a true resource for our community dedicated to making the fine arts accessible to all with a view to enhancing the everyday lives of those of us lucky enough to live close enough to walk. There are yoga classes in the main gallery 2 nights a week . Drop ins welcome. And no mention of the Carnegie would be complete without acknowledging the be Carnegie Carnival, the best Mardi Gras celebration north of I-10. Whenever I have out of town visitors this is one of our first stops and it never fails to impress.
The staff were so friendly. The man there today took my group home guys on a tour and was very informative. He was very patient with them.
Suggest getting a membership here so you can visit multiple times since there are many detailed exhibits to see.
The museum is a historical site with classic 19th Century architecture. The art display is pretty lean and limited.
This is a wonderful redone Carnegie Library which is an Art Center now. So glad this building was saved and in good use.
Always has a beautiful exhibit! Great staff and interesting history about the building. Fun fundraisers (especially Carnegie Carnival)
This is a great place to experience art, the exhibits change on a regular basis, always something new. Try to come on an opening night when you get to meet the artists. Always fun!!
This gallery is fantastic. My daughter won a opportunity to attend their summer camp. I think it's fantastic that they offered this to my daughter who love's art. Great experience for her
Beautiful art...more for adults and older children interested in the arts
Went to an exhibit of illustrations by a man who worked for Pixar. Well done!
Very cute place, neat atmosphere and ideas. The time I went there was an RC Cola and Moon Pie exhibit.
Awesome gallery with amazing works by local artists. My husband and I had a great time!!!
It's a nice place to see in the historic district of Decatur, AL near Bank Street & Founders Park.
Beautiful setting for exhibits. The space lends itself to interesting juxtapositions & positional commentary. A terrific frame for the exhibit we saw of Jose Betancourt's photographic revisiting of Cuba.
My daughter has attended art camp here the last two years. She learned a lot and had a great time. Wonderful teachers, workers and volunteers. Thank you.
Enjoyable art exhibits in a wonderful historic building! Great opportunity to see work by local artists.
Beautiful historic building repurposed into a lovely museum.
