Carmines you stole my heart. From the garlic cheese bread to the Manicotti, Sambuca to finish the meal. My only regret was not enough room to have a Cannoli. Absolutely perfect. (Apologies for no pictures of the Manicotti because it disappeared).
Incredible experience! The servers were amazing recommending and guiding our journey, we had the best steak and shared a huge pasta, wine paring was great and the dessert topped everything making it a day to remember, we were celebrating a bday and the staff sang with us, we walked around the place remembering every movie we have seen it in and I definitely think this is one of those places you need to visit at least once in New York! Great food, great people, unforgettable experience.
Carmine's is THE New York Restaurant. They do Everything Right. While we were in New York some people from a NOVAX state tried to intimidate the Carmine's staff to let them enter BUT New Yorkers understand the Pandemic best (dark early days of the Pandemic). Hurrah for Carmine's, a Truly New York Restaurant that we're glad to say is our GOTO favorite in New York City.
First off this is a family style restaurant, meaning that the dishes served are enough for at least four people. I went with my wife after a theater show. We ordered the Shimp scampi over angel hair pasta. There was enough for us and another meal the next day. It was absolutely delicious. I will warn you that you will need to like garlic because it is used in abundance. If you enjoy good Italian food your in the right place.
Large portions of fantastic Italian food served family style. I had the chicken parm and it was crispy and satisfying!
I ended with the tiramisu and its was huge and perfect.
Large portions but delicious. Pasta Al dente and great tiramisu. Make sure you go with sharing food in mind, there's no other way.
Make sure you ask for Kayla. Today is my birthday so of course before the broadway show @ 2pm Carmines was my go to. Absolutely PERFECT as usual, still can't figure out why they are not more expensive....anyway get the Raspberry Lemonade and the vegetarian dish...you can add any protein, I added grilled chicken. Everyone is so polite and kind and friendly from you enter the restaurant you choose your seating you are catered to every step of the way . There's outdoor dining too but I choose indoors. A NYC must visit.
We have not been back here for 20 yrs . Let us just say it was freaking awesome! We had the rigatoni bolenese ....and garlic and pesto spagethii. The garlic bread was made to perfection....hard on the outside soft on the inside. The chopped Salad was amazing also. The service was good and not a bad price for all of the food we got. We got in right at our reservation time so that was a plus also. Check it out you won't be disappointed.
The food and busy atmosphere were the best. Make reservations ahead of time. It definitely helps!
Great option for large group dining. Excellent food and service and reasonable pricing considering the amount of food served.
