Very good location, near the center, but the street is quiet, cozy. Perfect cleanliness. Authentic room design. Comfortable bed. Ideal for people who are not obsessed with the star hotel and the originality, originality, soulful institutions, coupled with a good degree of pragmatism about the ratio "price: quality." I recommend to all friends.
Hotel very expensive. The price is not adequate to the quality. The gentleman at the reception was not quite competent ... even though you had to pay extra for the room because it was not suitable, not prepared for two guests. The whole floor under renovation, dust ... They should lower prices for the time of renovation. I do not recommend.
The Carlton Ambassador is a very nice city hotel with a very polite and kind service. We were able to order the Sophia Suite and have breakfast in the room. It is possible to park the car at the street or at a garage near by for ~26 a day.
The best place to stay in Den Haag.
It has been a little while since my last stay at the Carlton Ambassador and the hotel has had quite a makeover, most things look bright and new although all the changes have been made in a way that the unique character of the hotel are still very much in evidence.
Apart from being a smart place to stay which is well maintained and clean the overwhelming feature of the Carlton Ambassador is the friendliness of all of the staff.
There was always a smile and everyone that I came in contact with was very willing to offer help.
I would strongly recommend the Carlton Ambassador for your stay in Den Haag.
Nice building in a great piece of the hague. Suite is very spacious, breakfast in the room very extensive with eggs, fresh orange juice, fresh fruit. Large towels. 2 lifts.

Oh ... what a fantastic hotel this is. All employees are incredibly friendly, not those professional smiles, but genuine interest. The rooms are just as beautiful as the pictures, so luxurious! The breakfast is very tasty, no different than in other hotels. Near public transport and the city center, yet super quiet. I would like to stay here every month.
Real good shoe store. All major brands such as Hummel can be purchased here. A mess with boxes everywhere and so on but if you don't look at it you don't see it. Also ask for running shoes because they don't have them.

Beautiful hotel nice rooms. Very unfortunate that when confirming the reservation it was not stated that the roads in the vicinity have been broken up for another year. Took half an hour to detour. A hotel of this caliber should do. A big downside !!!

Despite no advance notice, Chef confirmed both skill and will to prepare Gluten Free and veggie lunches for me and I was delighted throughout two weeks to receive wonderful meals many of which prompted envy from my regular eating colleagues!
Gluten Free Granola was on proud display in the breakfast area (see pictures)
Regular gluten cakes & treats were in generous supply to our conference room BUT I was surprised & delighted to be brought my own Gluten Free cake (even though I don't eat cake!)
Staff were very friendly & helpful, including serving me decaf coffee on request
Lounges offer very comfortable places to sit, drink, eat & socialize. Restroom was high spec and always clean.
Less positively, WiFi was only borderline serviceable.

Very nice quiet hotel. Very nice, friendly and polite staff. You immediately feel welcome. Unfortunately our residence was forgotten to clean. Upon request, we immediately received new towels and fresh coffee bags. A second duvet was available immediately upon request. It's a shame that our small side windows could only be opened a little bit. Roof window with electronic blinds .... Very nice view of the sky. Minibar was included. Beds are very comfortable. Slept very, very well. Air conditioning can be operated very well. Cleanliness excellent. Bathrobes very cozy. A room mix of modern and antique furniture. Very cozy. You feel right at home. Breakfast very well presented, fresh and tasty. Selection of different freshly squeezed juices. Different types of rolls and bread. Fresh fruit and yogurt. Coffee in the room as at breakfast very tasty. I wouldn't recommend having breakfast in the bar because of the ambience. Nice breakfast terrace. Very central location. Any time ;-)

Today I had a great workshop day that I had arranged for my work for clients. In the nicely decorated Ambassador room and with a very good lunch and snacks! Nice people to arrange with.

A great hotel. Very old rooms but that's exactly what style has. The breakfast could have been more choice but all in one. The staff warek super courteous and parking lots there in front of the hotel. Please only note, park ticket abx9 draw clock AND at ticket machines you can ONLY pay with a card.

Every week I come here and I am kindly welcomed by the service staff. The hotel has a beautiful allure and the rooms where we have our meetings all look beautiful. The breakfast is delicious and there is a relaxed informal atmosphere. Highly recommended.

With 5 stars, I am actually short of our experience of last weekend. What a fantastic stay we had at this hotel. Even before receipt, we receive all information neatly and there was a lot of thought about limiting the crowds during check-in. The check-in was top notch and the room was great. Super beautiful, all the trimmings and very atmospheric. It is an old building and there is some decor that complements it but on the other hand gives it modern elements.
What sets this hotel apart from most of the hotels I've been to is how helpful and attentive the staff are. Nothing was too much trouble and we really enjoyed our weekend away as a result.
It is a beautiful hotel (inside and out) with a very good restaurant. Always a delicious meal and a wide choice between meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Often special dishes too, but very tasty. The hotel also has a nice large terrace in a cozy neighborhood. My husband and I have been coming there for years and years, from August 1997. We held the reception and dinner there on our wedding day (2-9-'97). Plus we spent our wedding night there. That was all arranged so fantastically by the hotel that we still come to eat. Ambassador hotel is very worthwhile.
A homely feeling in luxury
A few days away with our baby. A bit exciting, but the warm team really pampered us. We were given input and we are unburdened in everything. We got a room just above the sun-drenched terrace due to the baby monitor. The bed was already ready and for us there were Haagse Hopjes and a lovely soft bathrobe. We have taken it from a drink with our own specialty beer to a luxury lunch with oysters and a three-course dinner. Just as a holiday should be. We will come back for sure!

Well located close to the central shopping area in Den Haag. I was at the bar pretty late with colleagues and the bar staff were very friendly and helpful. A good selection of good drinks and comfortable spaces.
I haven't personally stayed in the rooms but my colleagues assured me they thought they were fine.

It certainly has a charm BUT....
The bed was really uncomfortable! The bedsheets even had holes and were ripped! Imagine that was the royal room which means we paid more money! At the end, the difference to the standard was not worth the money specially that the staff weren't willing to make an acceptable offer to make up for the less than royal room we were given.
One of the nicest hotel I've stayed at. Staff could not be any friendlier. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was of incredible quality. Very affordable but we booked early and with an offer. Would recommend for families and couples. Great city location, easy to get to and from Den Haag, Schevenigen, Delft. Would absolutely return.

Ideally located 1km from the center and easy to access with nearby parking spaces.
The place is just sublime, and the perfectly refined rooms with their old style but very classy (we took a residence and for the price of 200 per night do not deprive yourself). The bedding is crazy and bedding, the only downside is the bathroom open from above which reduces privacy.
We had breakfast in the room like royalty and we KIFFE , they even added what we had requested and which was not expected, real service to the end.
In short, surprise your companion in this hotel which is well worth a 5 . THANKS

The Carlton Ambassador is in a nice part of the Hague, near a lot of embassies and behind the King's working palace. Stayed here for a conference, where someone else picked up the bill, so I'm not sure what the price paid was. Friendly atmosphere. Quiet night sleep. Good buffet breakfast.

Nice hotel just a bit dated. Super nice beds and slept well. Glad there is a private parking for a fee. Breakfast is good not super extensive but what they have is of excellent quality.

Very comfortable, cool and clean hotel. We stayed 1 night in August and Covid measures and cleaning was spot on! The breakfast was amazing with big variety of food and even Prosecco. Would like to write a special thank you to Martijn - guest relationship manager who was super professional, helpful and sorted my issue ( I left a dress in a room and he arranged to post it back to me to a different country). Definitely recommend hotel. You won t regret your choice!
