Love this place. Our second year back and we'll keep coming. We have a 2yo and originally thought it'd cost an arm and a leg for her to try skis on the kids slope, but they gave us the gear for free so she could play.. Way to build devoted parents and future skiers guys!

Also used the childcare there so my partner and I could have a day on the slopes. It was excellent ($110NZD) and the carers were super friendly and engaged. Food provided and they offer lessons for extra as part of the care. The instructors will come collect the kids for an hour or two. Definitely doing this next year.

Resort lost power before arrival, two lifts open, limited access to base from anywhere. Short tempered, lazy uninterested staff who offered no hot drinks or any sort of consolation for those who were stuck on lifts, will not return and advise that in future they learn to deal with a problem like this much more professionally.

This place is AWESOME! The boys n I totally loved it, the staff were friendly, helpful and clear with safety instructions. Our first time here so we decided to test each track with our carts, but by the end of our 2hours we were drifting pro's lol we managed to get 3 rounds on each track so 2hours is heaps of time. I would suggest u wear a scarf face mask because of the dust, and opt in for the shuttle service just so you can enjoy the view especially if your not a confident driver up that hilly curvy gravel road. Clean facility, great location and fantastic staff! Thank you for an awesome experience! Highly recommend for those visiting Queenstown.

Cardrona is a lovely little town and a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Queenstown - even in summer, when were visited. We took the gondola to the top of the mountain (after a fairly hairy drive to the base of the resort, along 12km of unmade road!). There s not much there if you are only after a superb view and a couple of photos (and not into go-carts, mountain biking and such) so the ride price of $35 seemed a little steep. Overall though, it was worth it.

It was a dangerous drive up to the alpine resort in summer with a 15 km dirt road that has no lights or barricades. But it was so so worth it up there. There are quite a number of activities from mountain carting, mountain biking, gondola up the mountain and even stargazing at night! Would highly recommend the stargazing at night! You can also do short hikes up the mountain and if you are lucky you can see some leftover ice during summer which was a real surprise great experience

We really loved our 3 days skiing at Cadrona. The kids spent time in ski school and progressed so much for first time skiers. There were no queues to speak of and the trails were well setup. Looking forward to going back and seeing the new Chondala in operation.

Fairly nice ski conditions and location. Staff are very unorganised though for rentals, transportation and food preparation. Would highly recommend renting elsewhere and bringing your own food, depending on conditions driving yourself is probably preferable to dealing with late coaches in the morning and very unorganised scheduling at end of day. Instructors are nice and competent though if you choose to take lessons.

Amazing mountain biking trails with plenty of variability, and a wide range of difficulties. Would suggest riding one of the two green runs before heading out on the more difficult trails as they re sometimes significantly harder! Check out the trail map for a route progression guide, we followed it and found it to be super useful. Nice cafe s and a great bike hire service. We were sold insurance as apparently the bikes are $400 to fix for minor scratches..

Came by on a nice sunny day and it was fairly busy. The bottom lifts had the option of the normal chairs or a gondola. We went on the gondola most of the time since it wasn't as busy.
Nice snow and really large area to board so it didn't seem too busy when on the fields.
The trails were well sign posted so it was fairly easy getting around.
Nice noodle cafe by the entrance.
Came up on a Go Orange bus from Queenstown for the day so getting to and from Cardrona wasn't difficult. Personally one of the better fields from Queenstown and costs about the same as the closer fields.

The mountain carting is a MUST!

The mountain carting is a MUST!
This is way better then any luge we have ever done. Ideal for families, groups of functions.
Regardless on the weather this is so much fun!! I would say its a must do while in Queenstown or Wanaka.
Staff are absolutely amazing and so helpful. They were happy fun and had good chat with their guests.
I can not fault our family experience here

Well managed and comfortable apartment. Extremely convenient location for skiing. Unfortunately, my kid joined the 4 days 'Lowrider' snowboarding adventure programme but they arranged a inexperienced coach for the intermediate level. I were very disappointed.

A nice place to ski or snowboard, with a variety of gradients to cater to all skill levels. Good snow, lots of fresh powder on a good day. All gear can be rented, down to gloves. Be sure to enjoy the stunning views from the top of the gondola while you enjoy a hot Mulled Wine at the summit. We just won free day lift passes in a Spark Mobile promotion so we'll be back on the slopes soon.

Love this place, once they open Soho it will be even more epic than it presently is. One odd feature is the top car park is higher than many of the runs, kinda feels like you park have way up. Park if that's your thing is awesome. The chondola is cool too, seems to be big ques for chair but not the gondola which is nice if you prefer the comfort. There's a short hike to the summit. Do it for the view. It's also hard to beat sitting out front of the cafe on deck chairs enjoying a beer!

What more can be said about this place in the winter? If you know of it, you will be going anyway. If your up in the air about visiting then I fully recommend! With the long season these guys do (especially with the spring dumps we've been having these last few years) great staff and awesome facilities you need to visit!

Cardrona you have absolutely blown me away. Your mountain and it's stuff were amazing in every way. Perfect snow conditions, Bluebird days, fast chair lifts and friendly friendly staff made our 1st trip to NZ ski resorts a huge one to remember.

Anyone going there for the first time will have no issues. Just a easy place to get around.
Car park is a bit of a mosh pit at the end of the day but I'm happy to settle for that as long as you keep parking fees away.

Cardrona thank you.
