I have been performing contract work for 3 decades, so I am very familiar with how this is supposed to work...
I answered their ad for a project in Beaumont, TX- turns out the job was in Channelview, TX- 85 miles away- the coordinator explained how he didn't realize the difference by telling me he drove for a long time to get to the plant where the work was so he knew it was east of Houston. I worked there for 8 days- on day 4 I discovered a major technical deviation and quality oversight on the part of the guy who had been the resident for a year- he didn't understand the technical issue so he just overlooked it. Turns out the owner's furnished information was incorrect, and everyone just missed it. I was released on my 8th day- with a deliberate lie for an explanation as to why I was let go.
Then I had to wait for a month to get paid what was owed for my time. I was shuffled around from person to person, each with an excuse why I didn't have a check sent.
This went on for 4 weeks.
This company is full of losers and idiots and will make all kinds of excuses why they didn't do what they promise. Stay away! Absolutely one of the worst companies to work for, and if you contract for them get paid up front.
