Cardinal Village Resident Housing Review

My wife and I lived in Cardinal Village Apartments for around 30 months. Overall, our experience was pleasant there.
Although most of the units are kind of old, they are well-kept and well taken care of.
However, at the time we were moving out, they had started doing massive renovations on some of the units, which I think was a great decision.
The location is perfect for university of Louisville students.
Donna, the lady in the office, is very caring and nice and try everything she can do to help you.
Some of the suggestions for improvement of the property:
- I think the laundry facilities need renovation and more modern washing machine and drier.
- More units need complete renovation.
- It used to be pet free, which was the main reason we moved there. But they made it pet friendly later on, which caused a lot of noises from the neighbors owning dogs.
- The ACs were old I guess, because they made a lot of noise when on.

I have lived at Cardinal Village for one year. I am not renewing my lease, only because I will be moving out of state for graduate school. Cardinal Village is a wonderful place for University of Louisville students. I was able to get to my classes within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Anytime I had a maintenance issue, it was addressed within a day or so, including major appliance re-installation. The property manager was great about incoming packages and even offered to place them securely in my apartment for me. The space was more than enough for one person and the location and service is worth the cost of rent. For my lease, all utilities were bundled with rent except for electricity and internet, which was very convenient. I felt very secure and compared to some of the other apartment complexes close to campus, the individual apartment entrances are indoors and there are common lobby areas at the main entrances that are locked after hours. Cardinal Village was the perfect place to live for my senior year as an undergraduate student.

Cardinal apartments is a clean, safe and quiet place to live. Apartments are clean and well kept. Hallways are clean and free of obstructions and well lit. Parking lot space is ample and well lit for safety. Donna is manager who is very friendly and helpful and in the office daily so any issues are handled immediately. Not the typical "can't find" manager. Residents work at keeping place a friendly place that is a good place for quiet living. My son lives here. I'd rent in a minute! Great value.

I have lived Cardinal Village for year and a half during my time at the University of Louisville as a graduate student. Large enough to live alone and community is always well kept. The manager Donna and Louis work hard to make the apartment comfortable and if there is anything else they will fix problems right away. I have never had any issue with them.

For students from out state, there are many new housing options around UofL campus but this is the one for sure. Available from 6mo lease and once your lease is up they are flexible about month to month lease with extra fee, which I really liked.

If I will ever return to Louisville, I would definitely come back to the apartment!

Came in with my boyfriend today to check out a one bedroom, the lady in the office was overly touchy with my boyfriend and made him pretty uncomfortable.

Donna, the manager of Cardinal Village apartments in Louisville, KY, was ALWAYS extremely kind and professional. She was ALWAYS extremely helpful and was always making our lives easier. When we were out of town, for example, she would put our correspondences and boxes in our apartment, she would check in if we were okay. Every detail that we needed, for example, fix a toilet, she would respond PROMPTLY and she would make sure that it was fixed in the same day! Cardinal Village is a wonderful place to live thanks to Donna!! She is the reason why you should rent this place!! Trust me! Pay a few extra bucks for having an amazing quality of life! Everything she does demonstrates how much she cares about everyone in the property. She is always attentive and caring!! Thank you SO much for everything, Donna!!! We greatly appreciate it!

I first saw this apartment online and called to check it out. The office manager immediately answered, and answered my four subsequent calls with other questions even though it was the weekend and the office was closed! It is so clean and well kept. The attention paid to a quality place to live is so high. The people who work here are very personable and super quick to respond. It's great!

If you are a UofL student looking for your own place, Cardinal Village is the best option! CV is so close to campus! I could walk to class in less than 5 minutes, which is a lot closer than most student housing. Donna is a sweetheart and really works so hard to make sure you have the best experience while living there. When I moved in, my apartment had new flooring, freshly painted white cabinets and new carpet which gave the apartment a more modern feel! I absolutely loved my cozy apartment!! The parking lot is so convenient and allows you to park super close to the building, which definitely feels much safer than street parking! I have always felt very safe at CV. Definitely put Cardinal Village at the top of your list if you're apartment hunting!

Great location for students at UofL. Donna the apartment manager is one of the nicest people you will meet and any issues (maintenance, etc.) are handled immediately. The building is kept clean and residents are quiet.

Absolutely 5 starts! The apartment manager Donna and maintainer Louis are very nice and helpful. The location is 5 minutes walking distance to the main campus, not fully-furnished but it is easy to buy everything from students at U of L. The rental increases every time when I renewed my lease, but it's acceptable to me.
