Fish and Chips BARELY cooked and only just tepid when it arrived at table. Fries soggy and not very warm as well, what little there was of them. The worst meal I've had in a long time.

Always consistent bar style food coupled with craft beers. Busy during dining hours. Pretty high energy crowd and noise level.
Beer was ok, wasn't impressed with the beer selection. Weird vibe I thought while we were there.
Drinks were ok and the food was fine. Pretty crowded late at night, but probably had something to do with the march in town that day.
Ok. Only had a beer, yet they were covered up.. Must be a local place..
Good beer, but limited happy hour. I enjoyed the Kolsch. Very refreshing.
Not a bad place and they have a great bar selection; but they never seem to be prepared for predictably busy nights.
Capital City Brewing is an interesting Brewery..I drank the Porter, and the IPA on my visit. The Beers are OK, nothing to write home about..The Porter probably better than the IPA. The selection of Beers is pretty limited, only 1 IPA on tap ?
What I really like about this place is the Layout, the Ambience, and the Location. The Booth's are cool and very comfortable.
I would recommend this place to anyone who does not know the difference between GOOD beer, and average beer. If you are a HOP-HUNTER, look elsewhere.
Food was good, service was not. Ahmid seemed like his mind was somewhere else. He just walked laps around the bar. A runner had to come and take our orders and we had to flag him down to refill our drinks. As a result, we gave a meager tip.
Friendly place across from the Grand Hyatt. Roast beef dip sandwich is my favorite. Brennan is a funny and attentive bar tender
Went in for lunch with my husband and as usual, service was fast and friendly. Everything item I've ever tried off their menu has been a hit, and this visit was no exception. And the bathrooms were very clean...that's a major "thing" for my husband and I lol.
Food and beer were fine, nothing special. Waitress did give much detail about the beer. Lots of TV's and good place to watch sports.
This is good place! Delicious food and the waiter was professional and provided excellent service.
Awesome place! Okay bartenders that are better than you expect.
#alaac19 took a bird scooter from the convention center. Most awesome!
Ask for bartender Dan he's the best. Phenomenal service, great food, awesome happy hour offerings. Really large bar and fun atmosphere!
Nice beer selection and super friendly staff, cool little spot to watch football on a lazy Sunday afternoon
This was my first visit to the place and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was fantastic. The waitress was attentive and super kind. As well, the food was AMAZING. I had the crab cakes platter and it was just like eating them at the beach. My cousin had the bbq pizza. He said it was the best pizza he's had. While we didn't wait too long for our food, our waitress offered us some softpretzels. Different, but they were good. The prices weren't terrible. I would look to spend from 9-25 dollars a plate (from a burger to a steak dinner). Overall, great!
Ordered based on our waiter and waitress(someone was training, not sure who) but he appeared gay and he was filled with lots of energy and made our first visit here with my lady memorable. He gave great suggestions on the menu and the prime rib sandwich was great!!!!
Excellent Service with an awesome atmosphere. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight, the soup of the day and a seasonal draft selection. Everything was delicious and the bar staff very attentive/helpful. I would recommend my bartender (Trey) and the brewhouse. Plus, on a beautiful sunny day, sitting at the bar is like being outside but in A/C.
Stopped by to try their beers. We were served immediately and our bartender was great. Prices were also reasonable. However, we didn t love any of the beers we tried and there was no WiFi available.
They had a good Lager, I didn't try the food. Sat at the bar, the staff and regulars were friendly.
Friendly place specially the manager Greyson what a gentleman this man is. Food was great, service wonderful. Recommend.
Food was alright, came out in decent time. Drinks were subpar at best. Service was slow and the restaurant turned people away because they needed to hard close the kitchen at a certain time so if they close at 11pm and the wait is 1hr you cant get a table at 10pm and are turned away. I wouldnt go back.
You can choose what you like from many types of beer.
If you can say "I want this" even in one word of English, the clerk should be very kind and anything.
The amount is just one plate to eat alone (the main and side are on one piece as in the photo).
If you have more than one person, you may be able to ask for more types.
Good stuff! Walked over from the convention center and grabbed a quick dinner. Open Table reservations were quick and easy. Saved us from a 2 hour wait
Good dinner spot and good food selection. Beers were also great!
Awesome ales. Great foods and great service. What more do you want?
Great pub food and cold beer. Tuna sandwich is very good. Fun place to get drinks after work
A great place to eat and take the kids. It was also very affordable for the location. The menu gives a lot of choices.
Food was good service was great prices were awesome.
Really, really disappointing on all levels. Service was inattentive and slow. Food was edible but unenjoyable. They only have two of their own beers on tap. I tried both. Flat across the board. Don t waste your time or money here. There are so, so many better options out there in D.C.
Food was excellent, prices reasonable. Tried three of the beers, all were good. Food complimented beers quite well. Loud, so very hard to carry a conversation.
Got here pretty late but we did enjoy the beer and customer service. Music was at the right volume, the lighting was great, the bartender was friendly and helpful with beer selections. I ended up getting a flight which came in 6oz glasses. They give 4 beers and you get to choose one more off their list. I will definitely go back when we are in town.
This place found the way to do salad right. JUST LAY STEAK ON IT!
Woow amazing place and great food. Ideal for a late snack after seing the monuments at nigth.
Family style table, wonderful staff and amazing food. We couldn't be happier with our experience here!
The best chicken tenders!. Service was amazing and the Mimosas wasn't too bad. Stumbled upon a nice restaurant.
The food is good, but they do not have a happy hour.
Good food in a typical American atmosphere. Very attentive, friendly staff.
Great food, prompt and friendly service that didn't break the bank. Atmosphere was great with lots of TV monitors to watch a game. Our waiter, Manny, was awesome.
Decent food. Decent beer. Good but nothing special. Needs more character.
We asked for ketchup in a cup. Seriously? The food was below average and the server was worse. Burnt grilled cheese for the kids. Frozen fries. Dry chicken. Spilling water on us was an accident, but it turned out to be the highlight of the evening. The atmosphere and location is what keeps this from being 1 Star.
Not sure if this is a popular place in DC, but after one visit I wouldn't go back. They have a very limited selection of beer, all there own, and it wasn't really that good. There are plenty of other choices in the area that are WAY better.
foods, service, atmosphere.. everything is great. Superb beers selection
Love coming here for happy hour. Beers are decent and at $4 a pint it can't really be beat. The free soft pretzels are fantastic and all of the apps are really solid. Can't speak to the entrees but definitely recommend this spot for beers and appetizers.
Everything here is "ok" the drinks are average, food is average. Service is a bit weak.
2 minute wait for table after being told 15, at a very busy for peak time! I had an excellent steak, cooked perfectly 'medium'. Plus the beer (I chose the porter) was excellent and very well priced!
I came in here for lunch, I got sat for 13 mins without being greeted and after 4 different servers made eye contact with me and kept on walking away. It's unfortunate that I didn't get to try the food but with service like this, I would will go elsewhere.
Very cold and drafty. Service slow. Hamburger
asked for medium, came out burnt and dry as a bone.
I wouldn't expect premade pizza crust at such a nice place. The pizza was good, though, and everything my party got was good.
This place is very tourist friendly. They get you in and out and have large booths to seat your party. It's best to sit at the bar for speedy service.
Good pub food. Loved the brats made with their beer. Not many of their own on draft, which was surprising. Enjoyed the Amber Waves Ale. Service a little slow, but on the whole a good experience.
Food was really good. We had the fish and chips, crab cake burger and the kids had Mac and cheese. We loved the fish and chips and the crab cake burger. We also tried a few of their home brews and enjoyed them all. Finally you can't forget about the complimentary freshly made soft pretzels with the horseradish sauce.
Certificate of Excellence 2013
The award for excellence given to the restaurant in 2013 is already proof that you feel at home here with home-brewed American beer (not every type of beer we liked) and rustic food in an extraordinary atmosphere.
We haven't regretted it and can recommend the City Brewing brewery without hesitation.
Good food, fast service, large seating area so short wait for a table. Reasonable prices and decent selection.
Not my favorite. Only two options brewed in house. Took a while to be tended to, but it was a full bar when I arrived at 3:45. Wish I waited 15 minutes to order a beer, its $2 cheaper 4-7pm. They were out of stickers.
Awesome food. Great atmosphere. Hell of a selection of beer.
Slow service but still had fun. Very cold temps though
Great vibe in this place but the bartenders could have been more observant but that might have to do with how busy they were, go for the happy hour and sit at the bar, great for some time off your feet from touristing
This place get really crowded in the busy hours. Be ready for a wait to get seated
The food was great but the service was slow I think bc of the homeless conference was going on. The waiter was great!
Nice atmosphere with really good burgers and fries. Try the burger with and egg on it - you can't go wrong.
Decent beer, okay food, poor service. We had an early dinner before it got crowded, and we still had to ask repeatedly for water refills that never came. They brought out the wrong dish and took 20min to replace with the right. Won't be returning.
Food and drinks were excellent, but service was sub-par. More timely service = 5 stars.
