We went here because we wanted to adopt a cat as my 19 year old cat recently passed away. They had just opened on a Saturday and the man working at the front desk was so rude and condescending I'm astonished he wasn't working in IT support. He said snidely "if you are just here because you want to pet kitties we dont have the time or staff for that" and seemed exasperated that we were there

We stop in almost every time we go to lincoln, lost our furry friend year ago, haven't found a new one yet, but we will adopt from the shelter, the staff is so nice, and the new facility is nice and clean, there are separate housing for dogs and cats, they also take other animals, birds, bunnies, hamsters, mini pigs! We've seen some odd ones! Lol the larger animals such as horses ect are still kept at the old center, they do a really great job there

Adopted a 2 year old cat from here. The place was clean, the staff was friendly. Especially Aly, she helped me out meeting this fur baby. Gave me a full medical history, and answered all my questions too!

Great place to adopt from, only down side is the prices for adoption is a little bit up there.

We have adopted 2 wonderful dogs from here, the staff is always super friendly and helpful when answering questions. We didn't feel pressured to adopt a dog that might not get along with our first dog, so it was a great experience everytime we went in! Here is our first dog we adopted, Bobby the pitbull/boxer, and his new friend, Whisper the bulldog.

I enjoyed volunteering at the Pieloch Adoption Society. The staff works hard to keep the animals happy and comfortable until they find their forever home. A lot of work is also done by volunteers and if you love animals, I'd encourage you to join the team! Please don't spend hundred of dollars on dogs from breeders- come adopt one of the shelter's puppies instead- they need you :)

I wanted to play with and pet a cat today. I was told I couldn't because I surrendered a cat less than 6 months ago. It was a friend's pet. Plus I surrendered two others previously. Again, one was a friend's pet and the other one was due to be put to sleep by our local pound in Nebraska city. I try to help cats find homes. I thought bringing a few to you was a good thing but I feel like you see me as a bad person. I have rescued and re-homed over 50 cats. Thus is not the same thing as surrendering a pet.

Way to many pitbulls. I realize they have a bad reputation, not necessarily earned, but as I walked by they were barking and lunging at the cage. Cut my visit short, because I was actually afraid of them in spite of the kennel they were in.

The animals here are great but it is also sad. I went there and a dog had peed in the cage that Is a small room with a hard plastic like ground. The service and people working there are kind and great.

My ASD daughter wanted a cat to keep her company and help her with anxiety and hard days. We saved up and made the trip to adopt our new friend Birch.

Birch is an amazing cat, so concerned when my daughter gets upset, talkative and playful to cheer her up. The impact Birch is having in the home is wonderful.

We did not wait long to be attended to once we had selected a cat to interview. When my daughter got overstimulated in the interaction room and laid on the floor, Birch laid down face to face with her and I knew we had our girl.

If you want a new animal, please go and adopt.

Staff is friendly. The dog's cages are so spacious compared to other places I have visited. I really liked this place because you can tell the staff cares so much for this animals.
I adopted a beautiful female chihuahua and everything went smoothly. I had to bring my other dogs to the facility to see if she would get along with them which they did and now I have a house full of Chis!

I came in the night before at 6:45 waited 15min to be spoken to. I had my dog Baxter with me who I adopted from this location a year ago. I was told to come back in the morning. 1130 I was there with Baxter to meet Jackson who was an outside dog and needed a lot of training. I waited 15min for the child who sits down with you and gives you information about the dogs while the lady's at the front watch your dog. When this child took me to the back she was crying about her boyfriend which is really unprofessional and when I asked about Jackson she sighed and told me she didn't want to be at work. Sitting with jackson she kept pushing the dog and spraying him full stream in the face she caught him in the eye, cried and pissed next to her which she sprayed him again. I tried to tell her that was a submission urination and she told me about her life long experience with animals. From here foward this child didn't want anything to do with me snapping at me about wanting to get this over with. Now to the fun part the dog meet. They put you in a neutral room were baxter was sitting waiting for jackson. Jackson had 0 leash training and was jumping rolling trying to get off the leash and the child kept yanking Jackson back over and over when he got in the room he kept getting sprayed in the face I asked if we could switch dogs her hold Baxter and me hold Jackson and she got heated pulled Jackson over to me and Baxter. They did great till he jumped and their leashes got tangled and Jackson freaked out and nipped once at baxter. At that point I had enough of this child and asked for an adult and tried to explain to the child her anger and lack of control over the situation wasn't giving this situation a fair chance. She told her adult that Baxter was aggressive and so was Jackson. To prove a point I had Baxter get down on his side right side face to the floor and I walked out of the room to Jackson were I sat down and petted him. Now all members of staff are standing over Jackson and he's freaking out. We get Jackson to the neutral room again and the adult apologizes and Baxter still laying down getting sniffed by jackson. She asked me what happened and I told her. Because Jackson nipped at Baxter she didn't think it was good idea so I told her your just going to kill the dog and she got mad and for 5 minutes I learned they don't do that. That entire time Baxter and Jackson sniffed and both did well sitting and walking in each others presence. At this point I told the adult obviously Baxter and and Jackson are having no issues can I take him home. She said well if he stays here he's going to get killed and she smirked, said the dogs wernt a good fit. Jackson's was a outside dog never inside and missed out on a 2 bedroom house with fenced yard hunting, fishing, and living an outside dogs dream because some girls had a bad day at work or they were saving Jackson for a friend. Makes me wonder how many good homes these dogs miss out on because of staff.
