Today, I feel compelled to write about the wonderful place where I work, Cape Fear Community College. This is my third year here and quite honestly, it is by far, my favorite place of employment. The grounds at CFCC are beautiful, the students are fantastic, and the culture is what makes it truly special. That starts with our President, Mr. Jim Morton who exemplifies our vision: Building a future oriented, world class workforce and a community of lifelong-learners in partnership with regional businesses and agencies. Our students benefit from an excellent education, enhanced student life and a vast opportunity for employment and college transfer studies. Our faculty and staff are highly-qualified, diverse, and dedicated to quality education and service to the College and the community. I am proud to be a part of this amazing institution.

It's a good college and the art programs are awesome
They help a lot for the most part but you have to have time allotted for it. Everytime I go there with a need, I get told to go to another department but I eventually get done with what I came there for. Take all of the resources they have to offer because it is many and really helps. Just remember that patience is a virtue :)
CFCC as a college provides great opportunities for the students through the programs they provide. However, I spend more time teaching myself the curriculum for most of my classes than actually learning from the professors. Some professors are dedicated to teaching, down to earth and fair minded and some are seemingly incompetent, have unrealistic expectations and don't take their job seriously. The college is friendly to veterans but only transferred 6 of the 26 college credits that I accrued on active duty.
I don t even know where to begin with this place. First of all if you are considering going here you need to run in the opposite direction. I moved here from out of state and gave this institution 10,000 of my dollars just to be disrespected and ridiculed by the faculty and staff. My high school teachers were more competent and respectful than anyone here. The school is run down and smells like mildew other than the main building they use to advertise this place. I did not learn one single thing the entire time I was here and let it be known that I am now graduating to be a medical professional so I was not the problem. I thank God I married my military husband and was able to escape this awful awful school. Do not go here if it s the last thing you do.
Fantastic machining program. I'd really like to go back and take the welding program!
