I had a pretty average experience with Canyon County Prosecutor. The service was alright, nothing exceptional. They did what they were supposed to do, but I wasn't wowed by their performance.

The legal representation I received was top-notch. The attorney assigned to my case from the prosecutor's office was knowledgeable and fought tirelessly for my rights. I was extremely pleased with their performance.

The people I worked with were nice enough but I feel they did not handle the case well. Looking back on the experience, I feel that more could have been done and that I wasn't taken seriously enough. There was never a real discussion of the case between them and myself, and I've walked away empty handed and with a vulnerable child. We were the victims in the case, and I feel that we were pressured during mediation to agree to a deal that left us with essentially no protection (for my child, from an adult). An adult woman has been verbally abusing my child for over a year and has at one point physically prevented my child from going home (boxed her in on all sides on a sidewalk, between herself, a vehicle, and two teenage boys) and she is facing no repercussions and I am being told there is no law that protects the child in this case. If that is accurate, shame on Idaho for not doing more to make its most vulnerable people safe.
