Great experience !. The winery is easily accessible from Syracuse by car. I especially appreciated the competence and availability of Sig.Luca, who explained the history of the company and then followed it in the tasting.
I recommend tasting the 5 wines accompanied by a wide and excellent variety of cold cuts, arancini, cheeses and other typical local products.

We had an enjoyable light lunch with a variety of wines to taste along with it.
Before hand, we were taken on a short walk to the vineyard and received the history of the Cantine, and the history of the vines.
After the tasting the wine shop was open, with competitive pricing on the bottles. From what I observed, you can also buy the wine using your own containers.
Definitely a Cantine to visit when in the area.

Hello everyone! I am Japanese! I'm making Italian cuisine in Tokyo in Japan. I am a cook. I like cooking since I was a child. I like Italy. I also like the history of Italy. I will use Google when I go abroad. I am glad if it is for something.

About Cantine Gulino

Cantine Gulino: A Legacy of Winemaking Excellence in Siracusa

Cantine Gulino is a family-owned winery that has been producing some of the finest wines in Sicily for generations. Located in the heart of Siracusa, this vineyard is known for its exceptional Calici di Storia, which are blends of flavors and aromas that capture the essence of southeastern Sicily.

The history of Cantine Gulino dates back to the early 1900s when Giuseppe Gulino started growing grapes on his land. Over time, his passion for winemaking grew, and he began producing wine on a small scale. His son Salvatore continued this tradition and expanded the vineyard's operations by acquiring more land and modernizing production techniques.

Today, Cantine Gulino is run by Salvatore's sons Giovanni and Giuseppe, who have inherited their father's love for winemaking. They have taken the vineyard to new heights by introducing innovative methods while staying true to their family's legacy.

One thing that sets Cantine Gulino apart from other wineries is its commitment to sustainability. The vineyard uses organic farming practices to ensure that its grapes are free from harmful chemicals. This not only benefits the environment but also enhances the quality of their wines.

Cantine Gulino produces a wide range of wines, including reds, whites, rosés, and dessert wines. Each wine has a unique flavor profile that reflects the terroir it comes from. Some notable varieties include Nero d'Avola (a full-bodied red), Grillo (a crisp white), Moscato di Noto (a sweet dessert wine), and Syrah (a spicy red).

The Calici di Storia series is one of Cantine Gulino's most prized creations. These blends are made using carefully selected grapes from different parts of southeastern Sicily to create complex flavors and aromas that tell a story about this region's rich history.

In addition to producing exceptional wines, Cantine Gulino also offers guided tours and tastings for visitors who want to learn more about winemaking or simply enjoy some delicious wine in a beautiful setting. The vineyard has an onsite restaurant where guests can savor traditional Sicilian dishes paired with their favorite wines.

Overall, Cantine Gulino is an outstanding example of how passion combined with tradition can create something truly remarkable. With its commitment to sustainability and innovation coupled with its rich history rooted in family values - it’s no wonder why they continue being one among top-rated Italian Wineries today!
