Beautiful campground. Some shore fishing and boat launch access.
Rude and unprofessional best describes our experience. For the last 3 years we chose this campground due to its convenient location to tubing. We are a group 30-50 yrs old, all professionals in our chosen employment, respectful of others (i.e. we're not loud obnoxious hell-raisers), and quickly found that 'weekenders' are not welcome there. Every year we stayed, we experienced, or have witnessed other customers receive, rudeness and unprofessional conduct by the staff that runs this campground. 'Security' yelling at us in year one for laughing too loud and threatening to remove us. One staffer in year two, who was more than happy to take our money for firewood, never even said 'hi' when he stopped...instead promptly barking out "TV is off at 10!!!" when he noticed our football game on outside the camper...Year three, the staff inside the campground store yelling at other customer's young children, then telling the parents off and that they "need to control them better". 3 years too many....The full-timers who live there sneer in your direction because they feel your infringing on THEIR property, which is an open to the PUBLIC campground???....we will never be back....
Excellent family campground! Very nice paved roads, newly updated pool, extremely well-maintained grounds with great tree cover. Clearly this establishment is geared towards families and family fun and that's exactly what we had everytime we camped!
The campground itself is nice, but the people that own it are the most unprofessional and rudest people I have ever met, we will not return until this campground has NEW OWNERS, and this can't come soon enough
Management completely ruined our experience at cannon falls campground which is extremely disappointing given the great amenities and location. We checked in on Friday afternoon, setup camp and around 9pm on Saturday night management came by to say that we owed them another $50 for an extra tent fee. We called a couple weeks prior to tell them we had another family staying with us but only mentioned another charge for the family but not the additional tent fee. Regardless, interrupting our stay at 9pm on a Saturday night to get an extra $50 was extremely rude. Also, there was clearly some miscommunication but instead of attempting to take any accountability for the confusion, they demanded the payment and would not let it go. I may never return with so many other options available and my family that frequently stays here may never return... all over $50. Very poor customer experience and I hope they improve for all of the future campers.
The grounds, pool and gameroom were above the normal expectations. But the extra out of the ordinary rules are a bit crazy along with the staffs unprofessional rude attitudes. Check-in any time before 3:00pm cost you another $25. even if it's only 30 minutes and there is no parking space for waiting or a lot of room to get a big rig turned around. In general prices for extras are high. They require you to wear a wristband for "Security Purposes". What a joke. None of the seasonals wear a wristband. Corners and roadways are tight, not big rig friendly. Won't be back!
Great campground owners are awesome lots to do. It's clean and quiet.
Love it here! Great camping and very quiet and chill I will be back here again.
We've been camping here for over 15 years. Every year it seems to get more expensive. This year is the final straw. We have five of us staying on our campsite three of us in our camper and my daughter brought a pup tent so they could sleep outside separately. They are getting charged $150 for memorial weekend ON TOP OF THE $150 we are already paying for our smallish 22.5 foot travel trailer. This is absolutely insanity. We are perfectly fine with paying their six dollars a day for extra people on our campsite. I understand the need to pay for the extra services. But they aren't willing to understand our position. And since as they say "rules are rules" we can take our services elsewhere next year. We do will not be coming back again!!!!! I have had it with this place.
It s an amazing campground. Have been going here since I was 4 years old. The new owners are wonderful and just want to make it a fun and family friendly campground.
It s a nice campground, good prices, I came in with a tent, but my site had electricity, water, and other RV/trailer hookups, and I only paid $25.
Great People, great camping. They allow you to do your own thing. Definitely will be coming back
It has mature trees so there is shade on hot days. Pool , arcade and walking trails. Very nice place to stay.
We got our boys settled here. They are working in the area. This is a very nice camp ground, with nice amenities. Rest rooms, showers, laundry, pool, game room and fishing close by. I'd recommend this camp ground.
I suggest that if you plan to camp here, try to find out if they've completed the sale they're advertising for the property. The people who own the place now have no interest in being there, and you showing up to spend money (and plenty of it) with them is obviously an imposition. My dog (allowed) is better behaved than the crotchety old man running the place who would seem to like nothing more than for you to get off his lawn. While you're there, don't you dare let your well-behaved dog off her leash! Also don't bring flotation devices into the pool that are larger than water wings. And bring your own patio furniture if you wish to sit poolside watching your children or grandchildren swim, none provided. For those of you who are environmentally conscious, bring your recycling home, also not provided. And if (Heaven forbid) something as mundane as a folding camp chair breaks, no you can't throw that away, that's not "campground trash." You'll have to lug that back home too. I want my money back, and no, I will not be returning.
New owners in 2019-super friendly and the campground is so clean and well-maintained.
So first time we went there was a thunderstorm (we were in tents) we all went into the main lobby to get dry. Kids adults all sat around and played cards ate pizza before we were kicked out and forced to go outside and sit in the rain. Ultimately causing us to leave and drive home. Second experience the owner proceeded to target us the whole weekend telling us we were being loud, yet every neighbor surrounding us said we were fine, even bringing us food. A few of us were laying out in the sun when the owner approached us and said that we were kicked out for causing trouble... We were sleeping... I've never written a review in my life but this campground is the absolute worst camp ground I've been to in my life. We were charged 260 dollars for two campspots for the weekend. We lasted one night, PLEASE for your sake just drive a little longer or stay a little closer to avoid this absolute disgrace of a campground. All they care about is the money that goes in there pocket. Have a great day and thanks for reading.
Totally just contacted them to even inquire about camping there after reading the reviews. Super rude. Two night minimum, can't put more than one tent on a site. DO NOT STAY HERE. They need to clean up their customer service.
Crowded, campsites are on top of eachother. No privacy. Firepits are right next to the road. Port-a-pottys for those not staying next to the main building. To visit someone staying there, you have to pay $4 a person
Lots to do. Arcade, park, pool and a hayless hay ride. My kids had a blast.
Clean well kept RV park with grass and a big pool. Rates seemed high.
Great campground, loved the group circle for our 6 sites. Lots of activities for the kids and adults. Nice clean facilities
The Paulson family is warm, welcoming and very responsive. The grounds are well kept, the facilities are always clean and sanitized. The activities for families are wonderful and take Covid precautions into consideration. We love coming here!
Last minute trip for the weekend - GREAT place! very friendly staff and campers, very clean, will be back!! Thanks for a great "last trip of the season"!!
Last minute end of season trip. Staff was very friendly and the grounds were kept clean. All the sites were pretty level and were a descent size. I would definitely come back and bring more campers with me. Thanks for our last camping trip of the season. The Neikirk's
Very clean family friendly campground! With a great assortment of activities from the pool and arcade to the DJ! Would definitely go back!
First time camping here. We met the new owners who purchased the place in 2019. Danielle and her family are doing a wonderful job with this campground. They were so accommodating, patient and helpful. Love our sites also. We Can t wait to go back!
Awesome family campground! Swimming pool, playground, paved streets. We always have a great time here.
My wife and i enjoyed the site we had a full hookup #77 the pool was nice and our neighbors were great we would love to stay again in the future
Celebrated 69th Birthday. Just got home. The Staff is very Friendly. Place Well kept. Sites are Huge! Grass lawns, not dirt. Very Nice Experience
Nice campground. Only complaint. Grass needed to cut.
Campground was fine I suppose, but way overpriced. Owners/managers are absolutely intolerable people. Definitely will not return.
We had an AWESOME time and the staff was fabulous! Wish we could have had the 8 man tent set up, was pretty crowded in the camper!!
Really nice campground. Fire rings are located in odd spots in some spots, but pool and game room are nice.
The grounds and pool were family friendly. However, quiet hours were not enforced what so ever. It was the equivelent of taking my kids to a bar. We even had a drunk man rolling around on the ground behind our camper from neighboring site. The camp hosts were informed but failed to help with the situation.
Staff was great. Clean buildings and lots of stuff to do. Would recommend and will be going again.
Absolutely the greatest place on Earth. Friendly staff, clean camping, just awesome all the way around.
2nd time our family has camped here. 1st time was a good outing, however this time around its been rather frustrating. The property has been for sale since our first visit and it would seem the owners/care takers have "checked out" and do the bare minimum to maintain the property. We had constant electrical problems in the Ocean View Road area. Garbage also smelled like they are not changed daily. All in all I don't think we will return until new owners have taken over the facility. Perhaps others have had a more pleasant adventure/experience?!
We stayed in June 2020. The site we had was a back in as I think they all are. It was a pretty tight site and had a tree right at the front along the road that we had to maneuver around to back in. Our rig is about 34 feet long. We are very close to each other in the sites so not much room for games and such. Other than that, we absolutely loved all the activities they had. There was a traveling zoo that came with some exotic animals (hedgehog, gator, wallaby, etc). That was super cool. They had a movie under the stars, indoor game room, pool (wasn't open during our stay), and a bunch of kids riding bikes everywhere. It was very family friendly.
The original site I had booked was too small for my trailer. They were very accommodating and found an open spot that we fit in. Very good service, clean facilities and they even fill propane onsite. We will be back.
Been coming to this campground since I was a kid. The new owners are great and want the best for the campground. They work hard at keeping it clean and well maintained. The kids are always busy and love it. We became seasonals this year and we don't regret it one bit.
The campground staff were okay to work with; they seemed a little stressed when helping us check-in. The restrooms were disappointing given the price my family and I payed for the campground.
This weekend was so much fun! Beautiful weekend for friends, family, bonfires, smores, hay rides, walks and relaxation.
We did a weekend trip with a group of friends. Big campground, friendly staff and very clean. Make sure to note on the reservation how many people, cars, tents, etc will be on site at the time you book. We added 2 people and a tent for two nights after the reservation was set online and were charged an extra $75 at the time of check-in. Not too far out of the cities and close to fun attractions like tubing on the Cannon River. I would recommend!
My family loves this campground ski friendly and welcoming.
Definitely we will come back again. Susan and staff were very nice and they really go out of their way to make you feel like family. The pool looks awesome, nice playground and great location. Kid friendly, retirement friendly, well maintained and felt very safe.
People here have zero consideration for other campers. Loud music, dogs barking, kids running around screaming at 10 45 at night. Just inconsiderate people. Staff does nothing to reign things in ! Unless you have a bunker to settle in , don t plan on any R and R!
beautiful place nice parks nice restaurants businesses nearby
Great campground! Wonderful service, very large campsites, nice and close to the Cannon Valley Bike Trail. Will camp here again.
The owner is extremely greedy and is breaking ALL covid 19 guidelines packing people in like sardines.
Campground is great. Nice facilities. However the owner is a very grumpy old man, and does not seem to appreciate his customers. 2nd time there in last 2 year and both times he was rude and disrespectful and talks to adults like they are 5 year old children. Heard talk they may be selling, hope it is soon, because i will never go back as long as he is there.
This place is so easy to get to. Close to the cities. Close to Cannon Falls if you want to eat in town. Nice pool to hang out by. Arcade and playground for the kids. Lies of things close by to do on the Cannon river. Water and electric hookup. We like this place to just kick back and relax.
Nice campground, horrible service and front desk staff. Don't enjoy being talked down to and nickeled and dimed. The campground itself is worth a reccomendation but the people running it are not.
It wasn't exactly what I expected but it was still pretty fun
Great family oriented campground lots of activities for kids. Staff is phenomenal. Been coming here for years and plenty more to come.
So many things to do and the staff is so friendly! Love this place. I went with a couple girls for a moms weekend and went tubing down the river but I'll definitely be bring all 3 kids 12, 6 & 3 in the summer.
This was a wonderful campground!! The owners are awesome and very friendly! We had issues with our camper the 1st night and Brad came to help and he was amazing and fixed the issue. Huge thanks to him!! Huge sites, big pool, arcade room and hay rides also they had movie night last night in the barn. Would definitely recommend this place! We all had a fantastic weekend!!
Very nice campground, new changes coming this year with new owners, but has always been a great campground for us and our family. We love it!
Nice and clean, nice playground clean bathrooms as well
We had a great weekend there. So many activities for the kids. Pool was clean and warm. I would say the best part was basically NO MOSQUITOES! We were able to be around the campfire all night and not be bugged by the bugs. Outhouses are placed in good locations and very clean.
Most places we have been too have had better spots for campers as in they had pads to help stabilize. We couldnt even pull enough power from the source st 30 amp, campsites are small for paying so much, and wifi was only if you stayed outside of your camper, and quiet hours are NOT strictly enforced. We left a day earlier because of issues we had. If you plan to stay take quarters for the showers too.
Nice campground, lots of things to do on site. Great little town and bike trails. Lake Byllesbie nearby would be nice with a boat.
We called the night before to see if anyone was on our site. She said it was open to come in early and they would charge $25 extra. We got there the next day at 11am and were told we could not check in until noon!!! Why wouldn't you say that when I called?! So we had to leave for an hour and come back and pay the extra$$. Very disappointing and won't be going back! !
Poor experience with staff on most encounters. Very rude, and "short" with customers. Facilities were pretty great however, and well maintained. The pool, game room, and event programming were all excellent. If I went back - I would avoid the staff if possible, but otherwise the facility itself was nice.
Cannon Falls campground is a great place--a very family oriented campground. It obviously isn't for everyone from all the horrible reviews which I find unfounded. Jim and Lannie were great hosts and I will miss them. I wish them good luck and enjoyment in their future. My daughter and I have been coming here once or twice a summer since she was able to walk, I come here alone now since she is grown and on her own. I have many friends among the seasonal people, it is a great little community. I wish the new owners the best of luck and hope they do not drastically change the atmosphere of the campgrounds so I can continue my vacations here.
This is a good place to go if you are 60+ years old or retirement age. I went here because people said the camping was good. There is no dispersed camping and the rules do a great job of ruining your fun. For a younger crowd who enjoys real camping there is no real appeal. This place is just another RV camp ground with no privacy and no real camping. If you enjoy bike riding in the sun and living in a RV this is the place for you. If you enjoy dispersed camping this place is not for you. The staff can be seen as rude because unfortunately they have so many rules that they have to enforce it irritates people. I thought the service people were fine however. Just not as fun as people said it was. Remember this is my personal opinion and may not be the same as yours.
Great place to stay! Great staff. Clean, quiet fun with other respectful campers. I'll be back!! Thanks for the great memories Cannon Falls Campground!!!
Very pleased, it is a clean quiet campground. Will for sure stay again.
Everyone from the owners to the seasonal campers to the weekend camper are all really nice and friendly I am glad I have stayed here and will again.
My wife Chris and I enjoyed many weekends last year and plan on returning this year beautiful camp grounds and we love the area.
NEW OWNERSHIP! Upgrades to the campground and nightly programming are HUGE improvements.
Very friendly people. Theres a pool and playground and outdoor activities. I went on a Tuesday night and there wasn't anyone around me.
It s a very nice park to visit, highly recommended, we loved it very much
Campground very nice. Large pool. Owners however extremely lacking in any customer service skills. Will come again AFTER new owners. Obviously have gotten burned out, but that's their problem. In a service industry absolutely in the wrong business! And extra charge to have kids do the little hay ride???? Very much hope there will be new owners soon!
Our 4 day vacation was very enjoyable at the Cannon Falls Campground. The park was very neat and clean and the owners and hosts were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return another time.
Nice place to stay! Just wish I wasn't put in the space with dirt :(
Clean but showing its age. Rates are above average. Pool is well maintained. Tractor and train rides for kids a plus, a nice playground to boot. 15amp service doesn't work and they will not invest in it; 30 and 50 amp service does work. Close to the Twin Cities is a plus. Overall, a good place for the family to go.
