We had THE BEST TIME on our ATV tour. I was personally a bit reluctant about doing the excursion since Im not really an ATV person but I went out with our group and Im so glad I did. The intermediate course and our guide Alex Small was just awesome. Helps that the guide was a cutie pie too! Next time were back we will definitely check out what CWA has to offer.

Canadian Wilderness Adventures showed us a very fun time in the mountains. We did the Wilderness Run 3 hour tour. This was a good fit for my friends who had never been on a snowmobile before, but are adventurous and skilled enough to keep up. Our only problem, and this is not specific to this company, was that we had a couple in our tour group who were significantly slower than the rest of us. It did not detract from our experience but we had to rush back to the shuttle and Whistler village because our guide had another tour that afternoon. Overall, a fun morning with great service.

A buddy and I did the Wilderness tour and I have to say it was a great experience. For April it was decent snow, well groomed trails, great equipment available for use and the snow machines were in amazing condition. I highly recommend our guide Patrick. He had good knowledge, experience and made the ride a lot of fun. Would highly recommend asking for him! I ll definitely be coming back next season.

I've done a lot of tours and adventure outings all over the place but this one was my favorite. Great guide, who quickly got us up and going without wasting a lot of time. The track, trails and area toured were incredible and well worth the time to do the side/side UTV's. Awesome!!

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and wanted to take a tour of whistler, we chose this place as it had good reviews. The tour was not as advertised, we drove up and down the highway and stopped on the road side to look at "views". Our tour guide was very friendly, but the tour was not worth $300+. Our tour guide agreed that the tour was not as exciting as usual due to some closers that occurred, he told us to come back tomorrow and speak with the manager to rectify the situation. When we arrived to speak with someone, they basically brushed us off and told us we were provided with a service and they delivered. I was left with a horrible experience and memory. I will not be returning and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

We did the wildness Run Snowmobile Tour and LOVE it. Our guide, Dan the man (no joke, it reads that on his man tag) was awesome. Not only was he knowledgeable but incredibly understanding and patient with all the riders. He never rushed anyone along (I was always behind) and did not encourage anyone to go beyond their comfort zone. I'd never rode a snowmobile before, but do ride motorcycles (it's wildly different) and I was not feeling the machine. I managed to get to the top of the run and could have went back down but I would have rather just doubled with my boyfriend. I asked Dan if this were possible (because what do we do with my sled?) he simply towed it back. He was 100% understanding and had NO issue with me doing this. The tour itself was great, we did a bit of practice before going up the mountain and then up we went, across to a frozen lake where pictures and videos were take by Dan, then back down the mountain. The entire trip, plus bus ride up to the lodge was about 3.5 hours. Gloves and helmets were provided if you didn't have your own, I'm not sure if there is a cost for this. I just used my motorcycle helmet as it was full face and that was a requirement. All the guides were bubbly, upbeat and seemingly loved their jobs which makes the experience more pleasant in my opinion. Check-in was also a breeze with the option to fill out the wavier online prior to arriving, which I did. 100% recommended, I'd do another tour with these guys in a heartbeat. Ladies: Fair warning the outhouses at lodge are NASTY, go before you get on the bus from Whistler village or have STRONG quads to hover. :)

Called them at 0835 to book the Odyssey Off-road buggy tour at 0900. They happily accommodated the last minute booking and even arranged for a pick up from the hotel within 5 mins. This was amazing customer happiness service as it s best, as other places might have said no.

The staff at reception was great and efficient, without all the documentation done without a hitch. They also made sure we left on time.

Our guide was Dan, who s safe word was DAN HELP!!! , and he was awesome. He was calm and helpful, and already made sure we were safe. He is also a pretty damn good photographer with an iPhone. You can definitely see he loved his job.

Yellow splash/rain gear was provided...wanted more hip colours for better pictures, but overall the gear ensured I didn t get muddy at all. The buggy were in good condition with a maximum speed set at 49/50.

Definitely recommend the buggy tour and with the customer service, would recommend trying the other tours as well.

They also offer a discount for returning customers and you could also get 20% discount at a nearby restaurant.

Also, you have to feed Dan.

We had a great time on our mountain explorer ATV tour! Our guide Kyle was very friendly, attentive, and made sure to teach us the basics of ATV riding in a controlled and safe manner. He was very patient and checked that we were having a good time throughout the tour, and he also made sure we got some great photos during our ride.

The equipment we used looked clean and well maintained during COVID. We highly recommend Canadian Wilderness Adventures and look forward to another ATV or snowmobile tour with them again I'm the future!

Thank you to Craig and the entire crew at Canadian Wilderness Adventures for hosting our Management Retreat last week. We all had a blast snowmobiling in the Callaghan. The scenery and location were spectacular and our guide Sam was awesome! Thanks for being both entertaining and patient with our diverse group of riders! We'll definitely be back in the future with another group and look forward to experiencing the other activities offered by CWA. Looks like we're all hooked on snowmobiling now. Thanks again guys!

***UPDATED REVIEW***

After going on a second Jeep ride I can safely say this company has excellent customer service. Our guide Jordan was excellent, super friendly, had a lot of knowledge and definitely knew his way around the landscape. He showed us a lot of cool places and knew where to get the best views.

The weather was cold and rainy but it didn t really matter because the ride itself was still very fun and provided some very cool cloud formations to see.

Customer service has been great from the start and they are very responsive and understanding.

I would definitely recommend this to you or your family for a couple hours of fun. The price may seem high but the customer service and experience they provide is unmatched. As you can see with the response they provided below to my original review they actually read them and respond to individual concerns which is really impressive.

Thank you so much for allowing us to go on a second trip as it completely made up for everything. I would definitely do this again or try out one of their many other adventure activities they offer.

Did Yukon Breakfast tour. LOVED IT!
You do need to be comfortable shifting your body weight quickly on the machine, not just your hips like a motorcycle. Also be comfortable with a few steep drops and some speed. If that sounds like your idea of fun. Then sign up, its a worthwhile experience

We had a Jeep tour today and had an excellent time. Our guide Kyle (aka K2) was very knowledgeable of the area and patient with our family. He took time to answer our questions and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and had a nice surprise for us at the end. We appreciated his help and insistance with family photos. Thank you K2!

My girlfriend and I had a unreal time at the Yukon breakfast snowmobile tour. The early wake up to fresh powder on the trails was definitely worth it. The conditions were fantastic, we were in a bit of a white out so I couldn't imagine what the views would be on a clear day but nonetheless we had a wicked tour and got great footage. Drew was our guide, he did a fantastic job and made the day fun and enjoyable for everyone on our tour. The breakfast was awesome (hats off to the chef) and the cabin just made the experience that much more. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks so much 01 CWA.

We had an amazing time ripping through some of the most challenging and fun terrain. Highly recommend this place if you wanna learn how to handle a powerful machine like this which also included avalanche training and lunch. Merci Sam! A bien tot!

Stay away from snowshoe adventures medicine trail. Terrible experience- short walk ( approx 55 min) through the wooded area. Tour guide said a few words about the trees and absolutely nothing about history of the the area etc. The brochure promises passing abandoned camp , crossing the bridge- nothing like this happened. Complete waste of money. Go to Lost Lake cross country and snowshoe trails- awesome experience for a lot less money!!!

Locally owned company. Offer the best range of tours in Whistler, from fondue or salmon dinner ontop of blackomb, to beginner snowmobile and ATV tours, and advanced alpine tours.
Sunsets ontop of Blackomb in the summer are gorgeous.
I also enjoyed trying the Ebikes.
It's nice when talking to the front desk that they know all the guides and have been on all the tours.
I prefer supporting locally owned companies, than some of the other corporation owned tour companies in town.

This was a wonderful hour and a half snowshoe tour of a mountain pass in Whistler. The two guides were charming, helpful, and patient. They each made jokes to keep the atmosphere light. Though I opted for the more arduous option of off trail snowshoeing, you could always take the option of being on the more paved trail. To top off the tour, they served delicious and gigantic cookies with tea made from lichen from the trees in the area. Since this was the Medicine trail tour, it made sense to end things with a medicinal tea. Bravo!

Was an amazing experience, totally worth it! If you're going to pay to go up the gondola it' definitely worth splurging a little more to go up on an ATV. They book two hours for the whole event but it's only about 45 minutes you're actually on the ATV... just setting expectations. Other than that it's the perfect adventure to do while in Whistler!

We did the Odyssey ATV tour on 8 Jul 2019 and it was awesome! We got picked up from our hotel and had a short wait at the Canadian Wilderness Adventures office before everyone loaded on the bus for about a 30 minute bus ride to the ATV spot. We were very pleased to have the option to wear their rubber suits and boots to protect our clothes from water and mud. Dan was our guide and he did a great job of setting a fun pace that kept everyone safe. The ATVs were easy to learn and gave you the choice of automatic or manual shifting. The trails were fun and the scenery was great. I would recommend this trip to just about anyone (probably wouldn t be great for small kids).

We did the snowmobile and fondue dinner for our so...

We did the snowmobile and fondue dinner for our solstice celebration this year. We were the first run of the season. They are great at gearing you up with everything you need. You can pretty much show up if you wanted to and not need to worry about anything. I am not much of a snow person but my partner and step son love it. I did not take a balaclava because I found it quite warm, was that a bad idea or what. Even if you don't think you will need a piece of gear I would suggest packing it with you just in case because half way up I was freezing my face off and couldn't do anything about it. You start in the dark and get a quick intro into all the controls and off you go. Along the way you stop at checkpoints to try out skills. Going up was a breeze and fun. Once at the top you get a fondue dinner. Much to our suprise they even had live music. For dinner they provide bread, chicken and steak, and veggies along with a cheese and broth fondue for dipping. The veggies were pre cooked but we're still pretty hard so they had to be in a pot for quite some time to soften them up a bit. If you rode a snowmobile up no alcohol for you. Instead they have pop, juice, or hot chocolate. Immediately when the fondue is finished they put a cold piece of blueberry pie Infront of you and then tell you to hurry and get geared up to head down once your finished your pie. I would have thought since we paid such a heafty price for this excursion that we would have at least got to have a nice leisurely meal with a selection of warm pie with ice-cream and a warm drink that I actually got to finish. Instead of being rushed out the door before I have even started my dessert. The way down was made to sound like a breeze after going up and learning our new skills. I have to say that it was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. There was not much snow so things were bumpy. I am 5'5", 120 pounds female. The snowmobile has no power steering it is all arm force. Every time the skis hit a bump the skis would jerk to the right, the direction of plummeting off the mountain. It took all my strength to redirect the skis so the snowmobile and I didn't go over the edge. I was mortified and wanted to give up and get off the whole way down but I wasn't sure if that was an option so I just beared all the while thinking this was the way I was going to die. If I had been able to join another rider on the back of their snowmobile I am sure I would have been much more comfortable on the way down, but as my step son was too young to drive per their regulations I was stuck on my own.

Did the call of the wild ATV tour which is their intermediate level tour. The guides are very nice, they provide transportation. ATV s are pretty nice. Their helmets seem kind of new which I really liked.

The trails are really fun. The view is not very good but I felt they focused more on the riding than sightseeing for this tour. I suggest doing the shorter tour if you want a nice view. I do wish they somehow managed the riders level a bit better for the intermediate tour. As some members in the group obviously had a really tough time keeping up.

Snowmobiling with these guys is some of the most fun I've had on the snow!
The staff are all really relaxed, helpful and a lot of fun. They give a great tour that I'd recommend to anyone.
They also have all the gear you would need for the tour, including jackets, pants, gloves, goggles & helmet. So if you don't have the gear don't stress, they provide it at no extra cost.
One thing to keep in mind is that the snowmobiling tour runs just outside of Whistler, so you take a shuttle there as part of the tour, which can get caught in the Whistler highway traffic, so when the roads are busy you may get back from your tour a little late

We booked dog sledding for this morning. Amazing! One of the best experiences we've had as a family. If I could give 10 stars I would. Everything was fantastic and really well run. The staff and guides were friendly and really interested in our experience. They were so informative about the dogs. We loved every minute. It cost alot of money but honestly it's worth every cent. Our guide was brilliant and let my 5yo son have a turn driving. The dogs were so healthy and cared for, it was really lovely to see. You can tell they adore their dogs. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting a really amazing winter experience.

We did the off road buggy tour with Tegan and she is an amazing tour guide! Despite the weather being foggy, we still had a blast. We took some fun and bumpy roads up Blackcomb mountain, then got to see the fitzsimmons creek/dam which was glacier fed. We also briefly stopped and Tegan explained the Ziptrek ziplines, whistler sliding centre and pointed out the peak 2 peak gondola. It was really neat to see how the mountain and the ski runs look in the summertime.

Tegan is so upbeat and cheerful and always prioritized our safety by using a hand signal system. At one of our view points on Blackcomb, Tegan went up to each group and offered to take a photo for them which was such a nice touch. I would highly recommend booking with CWA!

We did Snowmobile for the first time and was an exciting and amazing adventure. They explained all the instructions very clear but it is very important to pay attention to avoid incidents. The views are amazing. We took the evening tour and the sunset was beautiful, also we experienced the day and the night in the same tour so I recommend that one. The washroom is ecological and I m not used to the odors but it s nice to know they take care of the environment.

They are taking the health measures. Recommend.

My fiance and I recently went on the 3pm Blackcomb Glacier Safari and we are/ were 10000% satisfied with our tour experience! Our guide Jake was the greatest! He was so informative during the 2 hour tour, he knew sports/ Olympic trivia, nature facts, interesting engineering tidbits about the gondalas and took pictures of us ( I mean good panorama shots with excellent lighting). Jake really went above and beyond, he noticed I was struggling to enter the jeep and produced a stool, he was hyper aware of my fiance's concern about heights and modified our stops to ensure he felt safe. Jake also let us know which venues were available for rental and wedding receptions AND gave us tips about other sites all around Whistler. I highly recommend this tour to other couples and I suggest seeing if Jake is available as a driver.

For the best fun with the snowmobiles avoid the big groups or ask for a private trip, otherwise even an advanced trip may get filled with the first-timers. Other than that the organizations is perfect, machines fresh and strong (900cc 4-stroke -> just turn off the eco mode...). The guides are super attentive, fun and helpful, the terrain is safe and playful. Well spent money... just make sure the powder is still there!

The tour and the guide was great! Xmas day at Whistler was very busy and very hard to find parking. We drove around for 45 minutes and did not find parking. Finally we had to ask the Whistler staff to give us the location of the start of the tour, so we could park up there. They were very reluctant to do this and wanted us to sign waivers in Whistler. So we had to stop in a no parking area and take turns to sign waivers before they gave us directions to the location. Latter, I found out that we could have signed the waiver at the lodge where the tour started from.

We had a fantastic time in our Jeep adventure up Blackcombe Mountain! Great guide with a sense of humor and a willingness to show us more of the mountain than just the views! We learned more about the snow pack run off and how it feeds the lake, and we also learned more about marmots, black bear, lichen, and weather patterns. Also learned a GREAT deal about those super Jeeps! Very grateful! Very well worth it! Go and enjoy!

Yesterday we went on a 2 hour kind of easy going ATV experience on Blackcomb Mt. Bought our tickets the day before from a lovely young lady. Seamless effort. Were picked up at our hotel at the appointed hour and that is when we met Alex, he was our bus driver. Anyway he took us to their yard sort of out in the woods where there are endless machines of all types. Anyway Alex is very knowledgeable about his trade and the area as well. We then met his associate Tegan. Another exceptional employee. If your want two young people making their way in life and doing their job to the upmost, you would not find more qualified. Lovely young people, marvelous experience.

Had the opportunity to visit the lovely town of Whistler during a recent work trip. As we were in between seasons, we still wanted to experience as much of the mountains as we could. We booked into a mid-afternoon 4x4 Jeep tour of Blackcomb for the 2 hour trip. The journey was fantastic from start to finish with incredible weather we were able to have the top of the Jeep down and whilst this was incredibly cold, the freshness of the air and the views it enabled made it well worth it. The views from the top were breath taking and the guide was well informed and drove safely all the way. During our trip we were lucky enough to see a family of bears very close to the road and our guides were very careful not to interfere with the experience for either us or the bears. Overall, I was very glad to have done the trip and would highly recommend the experience.

We had a great time on the CWA's Off-road buggy to...

We had a great time on the CWA's Off-road buggy tour in the Callaghan. Despite the covid restrictions, the operation was managed well with sanitized safety gear (helmets and goggles), we were even provided with masks mostly for the dust from the dry terrain which came in very handy.

The check-in process is very smooth with the waivers done in advance online. We had the attention of the base manager for getting our gear ready and comfortable with its use. Once the rest of the group arrived on the shuttle bus (we had driven there on our own, it's a beautiful drive btw), our guide introduced himself to those of us that were part of his group. We had the safety instructions, operations on how to use the buggy and such which was well presented with clean humour interspersed.

It was a hot day but thankfully we had some cloud cover which provided respite from the heat and a few sprinkles along the way made it even better. The terrain was rugged as expected but the machines were able to handle it all without any fuss at all. I prefer the buggy to the ATV as it provides a better seating position for my back with disc issues and the steering wheel is also more preferred than the handle bars of the ATV. I do wonder how taller folk would use the pedals as I was being squished for space with the floor pedals (particularly the brakes) but the engines did a lot of the braking as well when it was released and was extremely responsive.

My kids (21 & 18) had a blast on their machine and were always way ahead of us :-)

Our guide Nate (a commercial pilot) constantly checked in with all his group members to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying the trip. We did stop at a few scenic spots to capture pictures for posterity which is just magical in the back country.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend CWA for any families or individuals looking to experience some of BC's remote wilderness close to Whistler.

Thank you to CWA and all the members that we interacted with on our tour.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. We got Nate as our Guide and wow, did he turn it up. Full-on 4x4 driving in a lifted Jeep, (had the kids howling with laughter and cheek-splitting gins), the history and nature talk was so interesting and to top it off, the food at Crystal Hut was amazing. The Salmon was a 10 oz monster and the great music just topped it off. One of the best experiences we've ever been on. Well done Canadian Wilderness, proved you're the best in the country, yet again!

We went on the medicine snowshoe trail with Mel. It was my first time snowshoeing, and it was amazing. Mel led us walk through the forest, stopped to introduce us to different trees growing there, and explained their significance to the First Nation people, the healing properties those plants have. At the end of the trail, Mel offered us tea made out of some of the plants we saw along our trail. And a giant cookie for snack. About 2 hrs actual walk, 20 mins drive from whistler. The snow was powdery the day we went, so the walk was easy. Highly recommend for anyone who hasn t tried snowshoeing.
