We did the wildness Run Snowmobile Tour and LOVE it. Our guide, Dan the man (no joke, it reads that on his man tag) was awesome. Not only was he knowledgeable but incredibly understanding and patient with all the riders. He never rushed anyone along (I was always behind) and did not encourage anyone to go beyond their comfort zone. I'd never rode a snowmobile before, but do ride motorcycles (it's wildly different) and I was not feeling the machine. I managed to get to the top of the run and could have went back down but I would have rather just doubled with my boyfriend. I asked Dan if this were possible (because what do we do with my sled?) he simply towed it back. He was 100% understanding and had NO issue with me doing this. The tour itself was great, we did a bit of practice before going up the mountain and then up we went, across to a frozen lake where pictures and videos were take by Dan, then back down the mountain. The entire trip, plus bus ride up to the lodge was about 3.5 hours. Gloves and helmets were provided if you didn't have your own, I'm not sure if there is a cost for this. I just used my motorcycle helmet as it was full face and that was a requirement. All the guides were bubbly, upbeat and seemingly loved their jobs which makes the experience more pleasant in my opinion. Check-in was also a breeze with the option to fill out the wavier online prior to arriving, which I did. 100% recommended, I'd do another tour with these guys in a heartbeat. Ladies: Fair warning the outhouses at lodge are NASTY, go before you get on the bus from Whistler village or have STRONG quads to hover. :)
