Located in downtown Vancouver's West End, this nostalgic victorian house has been converted into a club house for Golden Agers. They offer a number of different services as well as a movie matinee afternoon and a computer room. Great for those that still like to connect and socialize.
Friendly staff beautiful location. Parking is restricted. Lots of activities.
Great seniors center with a great variety of programs. I went for a friendly game of Texas.holdem. No money involved. Chips are shared at the start of the game. If you run out winners share. Tea and cookies half way through. A nice way to spend a couple of hours. Had my taxes done here in the spring for a donation. Part of the west end seniors network.
Barclay Manor is another one of the few historical houses that still remain as a reminder of the Victorian past of this part of downtown Vancouver. You can find a couple more on the same block on Barclay Street. And if you are an aficionado, a couple more not too far. Unfortunately, most others have fallen victim to rampant development and the ever-rising value of real estate of the most expensive city in Canada.
The West End Seniors Network is a great organization, that offers many valuable programs in this restored heritage building.
Nice old home redone as community centre. Available for functions. Piano on site.

Great place for seniors. They have drop in computer classes. French and English classes. Support groups and very helpful staff. They show movies. And any information you need to know..
Plus it's a beautiful old house.
It's named Barclay. If that ain't classy I don't know what is!
