Na pal... Be prepared to pull your eyebrows out in...

Na pal... Be prepared to pull your eyebrows out in sheer frustration at how poorly coordinated the schools and the main University administration are. You'll get used to constantly finding yourself somehow in the wrong, even when you were pretty damn sure it was your lecturers/the exam board with the questionable conduct... Be prepared to be insulted and dismissed by 75% of the academic staff if you have a disability, health problems, or special circumstances.

If you do end up going here pal, make sure you join some societies or sports clubs. They'll make it worth it. Get an ARUAA ASAP if you should have one (depresh, anx, etc).

Beautiful campus in a wonderful, very large park. A campus includes a lake, first-class sports facilities such as the Olympic swimming pool, golf course, etc. The apartments in which the students live are comfortably furnished.

Very weak program in strategic communication and P...

Very weak program in strategic communication and PR. The knowledge was very narrow and concentrated on few fields.
One professor was very interested in political PR thus all lectures used those examples. But I would like to get examples from different fields. Tutor was not able provide a support and valuable feedback during my work on searching topic for the dissertation. All provided feedback was not helpful and not clear. I would say tutor confused me even more than before my visit. I was also disappointed when our professor promised us to answer any question regarding the dissertation when we will be in Barcelona but in the end i received a respond to ask my supervisor. I dont understand why they promise to help and in the end were so unhelpful.
In general provided information was very theoretical for those who wants to work in PR. I was working for 2 years before this program and never met the situation when i could use all those theories. Those knowledge good to those who wants to do academic discussion and teach in the university. I believe that PR is more practical and should be studied in action.
Media relations discipline provided old data and teach us very basic things such as how to do Facebook or Twitter post. Those lectures were the most useless.
University has beautiful campus. However i was not able to enjoy it fully coz I was living quite far from this place in moldy dormitory. I paid 2000 pounds for cold, dark room where you even dont have normal stream of hot water. I had few times a situation when hot water just disappeared in the middle of taking shower when you whole covered with a soap.
Disability service works badly. I sent them request in August before arriving. They answered on my request only in December when i already finished my semester and move to another country.
IT department works bad as well. I had some issues with my Lynda access. They were not able to fix it and always responded me differently. Thus i had an impression that they dont communicate with each other at all.
In general communication between departments are very weak. For example, before arriving I was trying to get information if my sponsor paid my tuition fee. University told me they paid. Than next day another person told me they not. So I was able to get right information only one week after my arriving on the campus.
In general the semester in Stirling was very very stressful and unhealthy. I regret that i spent money for studying there. It does not worthy at all. Worst 6 month in my life. No support during my study, no support after.

I don't study here and I attended only one lesson (which I appreciated) so I don't allow myself to say anything about teaching methods or anything. As a visitor I found it really a beautiful campus, surrounded by greenery. There is also a beautiful lake around which you can walk.
Reachable in 10/15 minutes by bike from the city it offers various options for eating and various sports fields / facilities.
Hearing friends who stay in different accommodations, I would say that those on campus are smaller and far from supermarkets than those off campus; obviously however they have the convenience of being 5 minutes from the main structure of the uni.

Update December 2019:
Currently the campus is undergoing a general restructuring in order to improve the common and sports areas. Completion date fixed for 2022.

Stay away from this university. 1) The PR department often employs professors who don't have the required qualifications and 2) they discriminate if you are not square. I am happy that nowadays we all know how university ratings are generated because I was personally harassed by the director of the programme I attended.

If you are a disabled student, do NOT study at University of Stirling unless you want to make the situation worse! They don't really listen to students voice. They exaggerated how friendly they are! However they are just lazy and dominant. They will make you not able to study in Stirling like me, I want to go back to my home!! With the other comments how the university is awful!

Eh. Thanks for saving me money in tuition fees. Your rejection letter is much appreciated and has lead me to a fulfilling Udacity course and a disappointingly elitist arbitration certificate that hangs on the proverbial wall that is LinkedIn. Thanks for telling it like it is instead of welcoming me into your institution under false pretense.

A singularly beautiful campus underpins an excellent, collaborative and engaging educator that excels. Always punches above its weight and delivers so many grads into employment. Recommend to anyone!

One of the lecturers I met was very discriminatory...

One of the lecturers I met was very discriminatory against certain international students and she intendedly refused to answer any questions from those students and fails their assignments. I was one of the Asian student so once officially complained the uni but they said "there is nothing we can do about it". It clearly does not meet the international standards of what educational institutions are supposed to do. Such behaviour is unacceptable in my country or any other countries I know, so it was very shocking that such racist behaviour and power harassments are allowed here in the 21st century.
Furthermore, in PR course, the lecturers were ignorant about PR and I don't know why the uni thinks they can charge a penny for their lectures. I believe they made the course to gain money from international students and no intention to offer quality lectures or actually teach students in return. It was complete waste.

Chronic lack in parking spaces has made my PhD studies much more stressful and expensive. I spend ages every morning trying to find a space and often have to pay for additional parking elsewhere or risk (and sometimes get) a ticket on the public road, despite paying for a very expensive parking permit for parking on campus.

Compared with post graduate research our course was post graduate taught and the classes were online. The course directors were helpful. But some subjects that were taught were not made into in depth teaching by the faculties .Students who were new to this subject especially economics find it very difficult to match with this subject.Faculties (except course director )should be really interactive with the students

The University Of Stirling are warm and welcoming. Not only are they receptive of diversity, but also they consider the needs of their students. I was made to feel at home, upon my arrival. The staff did their utmost to provide for my comfort. It is my pleasure to be a part of the University Of Stirling community.
