Still a super location where I have been coming for at least 35 years. I think it has become incredibly expensive. Where did the croquette and a simple fries go? Now it has become a drink and eating somewhere else. A basket of bread with 3 small trays of herb butter and the like 10 euros

Sit here with the family after a fantastic walk through the adjacent nature reserve and have a delicious meal. Very nice and extensive menu. And also plenty of options for eating a gluten-free lunch.

Fine, spaciously laid out catering facility adjacent to the Loonse and Drunense Duinen. Literally, because next to the terrace a beautiful drifting sand hill immediately starts. Routine and smooth staff. Large outside terrace, but there is also plenty of space inside. The cappuccino is below par, but the ambiance makes up for a lot. The beer tastes great anyway, and the prices are quite reasonable. The Roestelberg is also very suitable as a base for beautiful walks or bike rides in the beautiful surroundings.

Great spot to stop on a bicycle tour through the forest. The food is excellent and they have a vegan or vegetarian option burger (could have been more options though). The staff is very friendly, but once you have a starting drink, they do not notice you anymore without you having to call them. And the flies on the terras became worse while sitting there. Overall a pleasant experience on a extremely hot day.

Beautiful place. Dog and child friendly. Good food with always a surprisingly tasty vegetarian option. Super many tasty beers that the staff can tell you a lot about. Nice and spacious terrace and plenty of parking. We often eat here after a day at Efteling but you can also take this as a starting point for a nice forest / dune walk

Restaurant located in a super location on the edge of the Loon and Drunen dunes. A hiking trail especially for dogs starts here. Great opportunity, extensive menu with lots of pancakes. It looks very atmospheric. Unfortunately it is almost impossible for a group to conquer a place on the terrace, much too busy. Staff is friendly and helpful.

My husband had a burger and had specifically requested medium baked. The first hamburger that came out was completely raw, a little fried on the outside. How embarrassing when you report this and you get one new one. This is also completely raw inside. Then the chef came and said that he had baked the second himself and that it was good. He had measured the core temperature. We think it is even unhealthy to eat minced meat raw and you would expect pink meat at medium. According to us, definitely not recommended. We are not coming there anymore.

Enjoy some food or drink at the Roestelberg! Certainly after a hefty forest walk through the Loon and Dunense dunes nature reserve. The Roestelberg is unique because you can walk directly onto the vast sandy plains. Enough to experience for children. The food and drink is fine, dogs are welcome, provided they behave well.
