Camp Wiyaka is the place to be! The enthusiastic and attentive staff help to create an atmosphere where kids can have fun, be safe and experience new things. At Camp Wiyaka, you will find well-structured days that introduce kids to things like boating, arts & crafts, swimming, archery, etc. as well as building lasting bonds of friendship and an appreciation for nature.

Super and inexpensive overnight camp. My daughter attended for 4 yrs and has now aged-out. :( The staff are all so welcoming and make all the campers feel loved. A week with no electronics is so great for the kids. It's an old-fashioned camp where they sleep in tents (on platforms), swim, hike, do archery, boating, arts & crafts, learn about nature, etc. They sing songs and have a campfire every night. The kids love the food too! I highly recommend this camp.

I grew up at Wiyaka and have friends for life! The tradition continues. My daughter just finished her second year. She is building special memories and unique experiences that will last a lifetime. The staff is caring and my daughter loved the food. Her favorite was learning about nature and making crafts.Socialization and working together with others in her tent and learning songs around the campfire provide a great camp experience!

One of my favorite places on earth! Having been a camper for 6 years and a staff for 1 I can tell you camp Wiyaka is a special place! At camp a unique culture of kindness, caring, respect, honesty, and most importantly fun is created. A culture in which children from all kinds of different backgrounds are immersed. Campers meet new kids they may have never met before and quickly become friends. Camp Wiyaka is a no judgment zone; a place where you can be yourself, a place where a camper can try new things and re-invent themselves. Fun and unique activities such as archery, arts and crafts, hiking, swinming, and boating are going on every day! The staff is wonderful, the food is to die for and kids are happy! I could truly go on for hours, but alas I will not. Camp Wiyaka is truly one of a kind and I believe that everyone should visit Wiyaka at least once in their lifetime, whether it be as a staff, a camper, or simply to take part in one of the weekly Friday night open camp fires. Camp Wiyaka is simply amazing!

YMCA Camps always offer a safe place for kids to experience different activities, learn new skills and make lots of new friends. Wiyaka was great! The counselors were all fun and enthusiastic. Camperships were available too at this YMCA Camp. I recommend highly!

This is a really fun camp! Besides the fun it also offers an experience which develops social values and life skills. Absolutely recommended as a place to spend a week as a camper or a summer as a staff member!

I went to this camp in 1978 age 7. This year 2016 my son attended his first week. I am so proud that this camp has continued its traditional ways and will go back. Christian values, supportive staff, great people, lots of fun....no wonder the kids like it so much.

Don't expect speed boats and game boys. This is an opportunity to really bond with nature and make some real friendships.

Thanks Camp Wiyaka!

Wiyaka is the best camp I have ever been to. I was a camper for 9 years and staff for 1 and I remember begging my mom to let me stay another week every time she would come to pick me up from the Friday night campfire. Wiyaka was my home away from home and I loved being a camper and working for the camp. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone because it's just an all around great atmosphere and a place you can be yourself and not be judged.
