My son has been going here every summer for the past 3 years and he wishes it could be year around! This camp is a definite 5 Stars! Your child will want to go back every year due to their professionalism, caring and energetic staff (headed by Gary and Steve) and they continue to make it the best camp in CT!

Every employee works hard to make this camp one of the best run and most welcoming camps I have been a part of. Absolutely incredible camp run by an amazing family and staff that are like family. You will not be disappointed. Your kids will be extremely well cared for and have a blast exploring the many amazing activities on this beautiful campus. STEM, SPORTS, SWIMMING, CRAFTS, Go-KART, etc. You name it, they have it covered!

I can't think of a better place for our children to go to camp. They love it, look forward to it and sing the Camp Playland song all year round. They've also learned tremendous things there - from swimming and rope climbing to larger life skills, like determination and perseverance.
Camp Playland's facilities and staff are wonderful. There are so many activities available, and parents do not have to worry about driving their kids as there are bus routes to take advantage of as well! Some of my favorite things about Camp Playland include their mascot, Playland Boy, the new baseball diamond (I hit a homerun recently!), and the slide at the pool! Situated in a beautiful part of New Canaan, the camp is a safe place for summer fun. A big shout out to Mr. Steven Bloom and his dog Lyle - they're the best!
I have sent all three of my kids there multiple years in a row. The staff is amazing and they really care about each individual child. My kids have a blast. It is the best 8 weeks of their year!

I have sent my girls to Camp Playland for five summers -- next summer will be my oldest daughter's sixth! This camp provides a huge variety of activities for kids (the directors are always adding new things to the program). My kids love it so much they sing the Camp Playland theme song in the car at the top of their lungs on the way to camp each morning -- they can't wait for camp each day! As a mom, I appreciate that my girls are able to spend time outside with friends while being cared for in a safe, nurturing environment. The camp facilities are immaculate. I am super impressed with the directors' attention to detail, as it is very obvious that they are passionate about providing the best camp experience for every individual camper. Our family loves Camp Playland!!!

A great place to work and be able to send kids. I enjoyed my time there immensely and saw so many ecstatic children who were excited to be at camp. Many of the campers would always sign back up for extra weeks because they enjoyed it so much. Campers will never be bored with so many great activities and enthusiastic counselors.
we moved to New Canaan in 1999 shortly after that my sons started their summers at camp playland, Aidan was 5 and Tiernan was 3 at the time, I was so thrilled to have found a safe and comfortable environment for my boys. in 2006 my son Ned (3) was added to the roster, I cannot tell you how much I valued their experience, especially with swimming!! it was a home away from home for our family, they have spent 8 weeks of every summer there since I first enrolled them. the camp is jam packed full of fun, no kidding when I say a day camp with all the frills of sleep away camp. my sons now older work there as counselors and Ned continues to be a camper. They love camp playland and look forward to their summers there every year. Camp Playland is a hidden treasure & the Bloom Family run it to perfection!!
As a camper and a counselor this camp is the best camp in the entire world. There is no place I would rather go to over the summer than Camp Playland... I still wish I was a camper! I hope to send my own children here someday!

I started working at Camp Playland in 2013 and I love it! There is always a special event or activity that makes every day new and exciting. And of course, the staff is top notch.
Camp Playland was the best decision we could have made for our two children. We weren't sure about sending our three year old who was determined to go with her big brother, but she never looked back! The counselors have a magical way with kids. From the age appropriate activities, to the silly counselor shows, to the door-to-door bus system- everything was run smoothly and with the utmost care. My 3 and 4 year old would cry on the weekends because it wasn't camp day! And at breakfast each morning, they would ask for their activity schedule for the day and cheer when I read it aloud. Overall, I was most impressed with the swim program and the progress my children made, but it was clear "water world" and "wet n' wild days" were my kids' favorites! I would say, if you're on the fence, go take a tour! We can't wait until next June for another camp season!

We love Camp Playland of New Canaan. Both the camp and nursery school was a wonderful experience for our daughter. The teachers and counselors are all caring, nurturing, and very supportive. Its set in an outstanding camp ground, where kids can make lifetime memories. Best of all, its great that they are a family run organization that is entering into their 60th year. "Uncle" Gary and Steve are top notch, and we can't say enough good things about the rest of the staff. We look forward to enjoying Camp Playland for many years to come
