I am actually on my way to the camp today! This is my sixth year that I have gone and I always have lots of fun! Camp Ozark is an amazing Christian camp with lots of activities! I absoulutely love it. I would rate it 6/5 if it was possible.

Good.

I greatly enjoyed Camp Ozark, but I can't help but notice that things aren't as good as they seem. This year they sent me home due to my history of self harm, instead of talking to me about my problems. The top staff who was in charge of me was very rude. When u found out I was leaving, they didn't let me say good bye to my cabin mates. They treated me like I was some kind of dilinquent. The camp is also very homophobic. One of my camp friends got sent home for being a lesbian. I also find it unsettling that all the foreign workers are on janitor and kitchen duty. It makes me wonder if they knew what they were signing up for.

The camp looks fun but I do have a deep concern about the pig chase. Science has demonstrated over and over that animals should not be used in this regard. I like to think that people of faith would treat animals better. Please drop this activity this summer. Dr. C

I attended Camp Ozark when I was 11; I'm now 21 and wanted to share my experience. At age 11, I was an awkward child (shocking I know) but I can say with confidence that I have never been bullied to extent at which I experienced at this camp. I vividly remember telling camp officials every day for the entirety of the 2 week session to no avail. Additionally, I was not allowed to contact my family (a fact they are still unthrilled about). When my parents arived to pick me up, they were shocked to find a previosly confident child with a newfound damaged self esteem, and further outraged by the fact that none of the camp officials had made them aware of the situation. While I realize this transpired 10 years ago and has questionable relevance now, I encourage parents to be aware of camp policies regarding the information shared with them about their child's wellbeing.

Looks like kids summer camps are only for rich people. Been looking at camps for my 2 boys but over 5 grand??? I thought maybe $1000 for 2 kids for a couple of weeks but all of these places are ridiculously priced for the rich and not paycheck to paycheck folks. God must not like poor people. I guess my kids will just have to watch movies about camp on tv like I did when I was a kid and wonder...

Just dropped my youngest off for her 4th year today. My other 2 attended 8 and 7 years in a row. Truely a wonderful camp. The friends and relationshios built while they are there have been lifelong with other campers and their councilors both.

I've been going to Camp Ozark for 3 summers now. I live in NC, but go all the way to AR because Ozark is one of the best places in the world. There are so many activities and classes - over 150! No matter what your hobbies are, you will find activities you enjoy. It's like being at Disney World at camp, because there is always something to do. Mish Mash is my favorite time of day, because you have two hours to do whatever activity you want - go to the lake, ride horses, take on the ropes courses, etc. Also, the lake is a blast! There's the Blob, a rope swing, 8 slides, water trampolines, and more! Going to camp here has taught me leadership skills and made me more confident. It is a life changing experience! The counselors and staff here are wonderful. I highly recommend coming to Ozark!

Summer 2018 was my son's first time at camp. He was 7 and stayed for two weeks. He loved his counselors and had a great time. He will be going back again next year. He came back more mature and independent.

All the staff was so friendly. It was nice getting a call from the camp mom during his first week to say he was doing great. I loved looking at all the pictures everyday and seeing the big smile on his face. Two weeks in the beautiful mountains of Arkansas with no electronics and positive role models is what every kid needs.

WOW! Is all I have to say about this camp. We heard about Camp Ozark from a coworker who recommended it, and have been planning to send our daughter for years, waiting for her to come of age. As my husband said upon our arrival, "I didn't know camps like this really existed in real life!"

The staff at Camp Ozark has thought of everything. The process is seamless, and despite the hundreds of campers, it was organized from A to Z. Even with high expectations, we were blown away.

Although it is pricey, it's worth every penny. Our daughter (age 7) gained so much from attending camp and there are so many things for the kids to do. The camp counselors are the best in the nation, and I know the process to become a counselor is a rigorous process.

Look into Camp Ozark. Get the informational DVD. This family owned and operated camp is nothing less that completely professional and trust worthy, instilling core values into our children. Thank you, Camp Ozark! See you next year!

Camp ozark was the best experience of my life some people on here are saying it's loud but I mean it's a summer camp so it's gonna be loud and the only time it's loud is when they're playing music at ozone or lunch or dinner. Also some people say the showers don't have enough privacy well they got bigger curtains. You will not regret going to camp I know I love it

The process is very organized and the staff are super friendly and helpful. You are greeted with enthusiasm that excites the children while decreasing anxiety. The cabins are cute. No A/C but plenty of fans. There are lots of activities to choose from. I'm sure this will will be an experience my camper will never forget!

I worked here during summer of '16. There are better places to work & send your kids. The top staff and permanent staff are very uncoordinated. This one issue was my biggest headache. The campers in my cabin misbehaved one day, and the top staff set the punishment as cleaning the cabin for 15 min. of mish mash (free time). Cabin clean up is normally done immediately after breakfast. So, me & my co-counselor told the campers not to clean after breakfast, for cleaning the cabin 15 min. into mish mash was their punishment. However, when the campers, co-counselor, and I regrouped in the cabin for lunch, we had a "red flag" (indicates cabin is not clean). The campers were to clean the cabin before going to lunch & my phone was also inaccessible for my lunch break. I consulted w/ another top staff (our top staff was off for the day) & he told me it was O.K. for the campers to eat lunch & clean for 15 min. of mish mash as punishment. So, I return to the cabin & informed the other co-counselor & campers to go to lunch & clean during mish mash. I go to get my phone from the office & leave for lunch, but a certain permanent staff member stood in the way. I explained the issue to her & told her another top staff member said it was O.K. for the cabin to be cleaned during mish mash. She contacted him via radio & and responded to him & me that the cabin must be cleaned & inspected before going to lunch. So, I caught my cabin before they reached the chow hall & said we have to go back & clean. We returned & cleaned. I left to find a top staff to inspect the cabin while the other counselor & campers waited to be inspected. When I found a top staff & walked back to the cabin w/ him, the others were gone. My co-counselor realized lunch was about to end & went ahead to took the campers the chow hall so they could eat. When they got there, he told me, the other campers in that lunch shift had eaten & left; the chow hall staff were winding down & putting food away. They barely made lunch. They were about to miss a meal due to lack of coordination between those in charge. Though this is a long post, my point is that Camp Ozark is willing to make a child miss a meal as a form of punishment. That is unacceptable & I hope you find it unacceptable, as well. Spend or make your money elsewhere.

My son has gone to Camp Ozark for 5 years. It's very well-run, organized, and has something for every kid. The emphasis is fun even though they have competitions. There are camps that focus more on skills, but this one focuses more on comaraderie and doing your best.

This is the best camp in the world! I had so much fun last year, the only thing was the girls in my cabin where mean, but i found other people in a different cabin and my counselors were amazing.

A wide variety of activities for all kinds of kids. A beautiful setting. Outstanding service and responsiveness from the staff. The entire process, from registration to pick-up, runs like a well-oiled machine. But the best part is the staff. They are well-trained, professional, and incredibly caring and friendly. My kids have been going here for years, and will continue to do so as long as they can. Camp Ozark is truly incomparable.

My four sons all attended camp Ozark for several years. Two went on to be counselors, One is there presently. This camp and its excellent counselors was one of the most positive experiences of their youth. They made great friends and the counselors were so friendly and attentive to their needs. The counselors always wrote me a postcard about my individual child and spoke so positively giving me an update on their experience. Many of my friends in Lafayette Louisiana sent their children to this camp and I have never heard anything but positive remarks...My 13 year old nephew Cameron is their now for 1st session and loving it, its his second year. It has greatly increased his self esteem being around such quality campers and staff who are always positive and extremely enthusiastic. My 3rd son said this camp was a major influence to his entering the seminary due to the spiritual aspect of this camp. Centered around God, the Bible and prayer. I give this camp this
highest rating. Its wonderful and you should not hesitate to send your son or daughter there for an experience of a lifetime

Great place. I was a camper there in the early 70s
Then it was ozark bots camp. I showed up in announced. Called in at the gate they let me drive in. Wow the place has everything a kid could want to do

The cabins I stated in were still there. Of course they cleansed them up. But 45 years later I realize how lucky I was to get to go there for a summer
