Cambridge Suites Hotel, Sydney Review

I really enjoyed it. Very nice room and a great breakfast. Staff were great also.

Adore this hotel, here once a month or so. Majority of rooms are suites, great beds, nice living rooms. 24 hour pantry to buy snacks and stuff. Great location. Best hotel in Sydney

You can't beat the location! It is on the boardwalk with great eating options at a walking distance, like Portside, Governor's pub, the Lord Fin fish and chips. The sunset at the boardwalk is breathtaking. They have enough parking, which is not underground.
Our stay was comfortable. It is clean and breakfast was quite good. But it is really dated! The washroom was renovated. But there was no place to hang a towel close to the tub. There was enough space to make it better. A sink would be great (wish was justoutside in the dressing area). The kitchenette cabinets were shabby. The mattresses were full, not queen, with a built in base which seemed it was for designed for single box and mattress. The carpet was quite retro, but was clean.
Overall, I enjoyed the location, but our stay (though comfortable), could have been better if I could stop noticing the shabbiness. I live retro feel, but this was dated, not retro.

Great hotel, booked a room for a weekend getaway and was pleasantly surprised, very clean and spacious room, the king size bed was amazingly comfortable, the free hot breakfast is always a bonus, staff are very friendly and unobtrusive, great restaurant on the main level and a hot tub/sauna and decent fitness room on the rooftop patio, 10/10 would stay here again.

Interesting window scenes, food and service was good. A bit pricey for the area.

Good hotel, appears to be due for a light facelift - lots of peeling wallpaper. Hotel breakfast is free and delicious. Exercise centre and rooftop patio were cool. Thanks.

I stayed at the cambridge inn for a 3 month extended stay. Of all the hotels I have stayed at in my life I had the most positive experience there. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional, and I was always treated very well. The food at the trio is superb, and the staff are high level. The beds are comfy, as is the bedding you are provided with. The rooms are very large as well, with great views and a really nice rooftop terrace. I would recommend the Cambridge Inn to anyone.

Comfortable, clean, the suites are large and the beds are really comfortable. I stayed there with a few other people who all mentioned that the beds were comfortable. Reasonably priced too.

This was the perfect place to stay for a work conference. It is right on the water, the restaurant is amazing, and the staff are all very kind and courteous. My only wish is that I was Harborside instead of roadside. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Not impressed with the room really needs work but wasnt charged for the 2nd nights stay.

A first impression can not be changed. I made reservations for my wife and son over a month in advance, for a suite. Check in time is 3pm. My wife called 2 hr ahead and was informed her room was not read but would be by check in time. She was dropped off at 4pm, room was not ready. They said she could wait in the lobby ( how nice of them) She told them she was tired form a long day for travel and they offered her a suite with a King bed she would have to share with her 16 yr old son
I called the manger and was not very happy but proffenail on the phone, to inform her this would not do, she said the room had a pull out .I said I paid for a suite with 2 bed, not 1 and a pullout. They said they would move her when her room was rdy.
It s now 6pm 3 hours after check in and still the room is not rdy, the the staff is cool and not overly friendly. I've travel to 38 countries and for the most part had only good reviews to write, But as first impressions go Cambridge suites leave a lot to be desired and I doubt we will ever book there again.
There was many way to handle this situation they seem to have picked to poorest one

A great hotel where you can feel at home. Great hot breakfast and a nice meet and greet mid week!

Clean rooms with nice views right on the waterfront. Plenty of amenities with in walking distance.

Excellent meal at the Trio as always. Only issue was $12 for a local craft beer that you get at the liquor store for $3.95... common guys, your turning people off of local goods...

I think the place was awsome got a nice suite for a workplace travel and thought it was awsome, I'll be back next week and hoping to visit some of the bars and people next time.

We booked a suite and the sofa bed was from the 2nd world war time. The chair was was so old and dirty couldn t use it. The gave packed breakfast which was a joke. We had to go out for breakfast to get something decent to eat. Overall very poor quality and not fit to stay at.

We stayed in a suite for 2 nights while exploring the area. It was one of our favorite hotels on our trip. Beds, rooms, mini bar, and TV's were perfect. Harbor views from the room excellent. Location on the boardwalk and being near restaurants was a plus.

This is a great place to stay in Sydney. We got two rooms and had 4 children and 4 adults. The suites were spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy. The staff was cheerful and helpful with recommendations. We used our week here as a home base for sightseeing in Cape Breton, especially the Cabot Trail.

The breakfast was delicious every morning and the rooftop fitness center was great. It was an excellent stay for the special price I got online.

Always where I stay when in Sydney. Its clean and the space makes it functional for work trips. Restaurant is great as well.

We went to eat at Trio which we have done many times before. As always, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommended to anyone visiting or living in the area.

Everything was perfect. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Big clean rooms and a gorgeous view overlooking the harbour. We extended our stay because we love it here so much. Big shout out to Joan who greeted us with a smile and small chat every breakfast. Will stay here every time we come into town! Thanks to everyone.

Nice to have a suite, and one of the very rare hotels with enough places to sleep three children and two adults. Nice breakfast too.

When weather made outdoor pictures for a graduation impossible, Cambridge Suites were most welcoming, allowing us use of their lobby and other scenic spots within the hotel. No questions asked.

Great view and room amenities with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is very good with a few cereals, hot selection that rotates, make-your-own-waffles and so on. Internet connection was problematic as it would lose connection on a regular basis (the wifi reception was fine but the connection to the internet was not stable)

Found it small for what we paid for our room , didnt like that parking wasnt included in the price of your room , especially since your paying so much ! Breakfast wasnt good at all. There are 2 elevators but only one seemed to be running which meant you were standing there for a long time waiting for it to come ! Staff were all very nice however but the hotel itself didnt meet my expectations .

Our room was not cleaned and was in poor condition.

The restaurant wasn't open on a Saturday afternoon.

Hotel located in the city center on the edge of the water. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Very beautiful place.

Decent place good breakfast included. Clean rooms and helpful staff. They assisted when a car rental plan didn't work out. It all worked out in the end with their guidance and information about the area.

Nice hotel located close to the water. Breakfast included in the price with at least 3 hot items on the menu (boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and sausage). They have a big and small hot bath, sauna room and a roof Terrance. The room has a separate bedroom and living room and kitchenette. There is a roof top terrace accessible through the gym. The gym is accessible through the 8th floor stairs.

It was very nice, the staff were extremely helpful when asked questions. The pool was a bit small but everything else was good.

Easy check in and check out. Stayed on the first floor with a King Size bed. Standard Free buffet breakfast. Nice neighbours by the waterfront. Would stay again. Parking was $7 per night.

Nice staff, good complimentary breakfast. The room was clean, with reasonably new furniture.

Good hotel. Friendly staff. A bit disappointed as our suite felt like it needed a bit of a facelift. Some peeling wallpaper, beat up furniture. Overall a good stay.

Great hotel with a perfect location in central Sydney one street from the main drag. The suite rooms are large with kitchenettes, a separate bedroom and couch area. I imagine the views from the harbour facing side higher up are great. There is a rooftop lounge area facing the harbour with BBQs and a large hot tub and gym. There is also a coin laundry inside the hotel. Breakfast and parking is included. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Top hotel in Sydney.
